From the first time I visited I knew this church was unlike any other that I had visited in Lynchburg and maybe even ever before in my life. Pastor Troy preaches the Word with wisdom and authority, but in a way that isn't pretentious or unattainable. The atmosphere is comfortable, and the people are kind. Reach out, get plugged in, go to a service. You'll be glad you did. This was my home for four years at the end of college and the start of my post-academic adult life. I will forever be grateful for the impact this church family has made on my life for good and for God's glory.

I love Pastor Troy and the staff of Calvary Chapel of Lynchburg. From 2000, when we moved to Lynchburg, til August 17, 2016 when God called me to Savannah, Ga, have been apart of the CCLburg. They are family to me. My spirit was and still (by podcasts and radio ministry) is beyond filled. If you are looking for Godly Biblical teaching this is the place. God has anointed Pastor Troy.

Lots of great churches in the area, for sure. Calvary Chapel s distinctive is verse-by-verse teaching, focusing on context as well as applications for today. You will be encouraged to change without being attacked. The Spirit of the Lord is evident. It s a great place to serve and grow!
