With over 50 staff members across four offices throughout California - Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego - CLCV works tirelessly to ensure that our state remains at the forefront of environmental protection.

CLCV's mission is centered around three core pillars: electing environmental champions; turning election victories into policy wins; and holding lawmakers accountable. To achieve these goals, CLCV endorses candidates who have demonstrated their commitment to protecting our environment through their voting records or public statements on key issues such as clean energy development or conservation efforts.

Once elected officials are in office, CLCV works with them to advance policies that protect our environment while also promoting economic growth. This includes advocating for renewable energy development projects like solar panels or wind turbines as well as supporting conservation efforts such as protecting endangered species habitats or preserving open spaces.

In addition to its work with elected officials at all levels of government (local,state,and federal),CLVC also engages directly with communities across California through grassroots organizing campaigns aimed at raising awareness about key environmental issues affecting Californians today.

One example of this work can be seen in the organization's efforts around Proposition 67 which was on the ballot during November 2016 elections.Proposition 67 was an initiative aimed at banning single-use plastic bags throughout California.CLCV worked tirelessly alongside other organizations like Sierra Club,Clean Water Action,and Surfrider Foundation,to educate voters about why this initiative was so important.Their hard work paid off when Proposition 67 passed by a wide margin,making it illegal for stores throughout California to distribute single-use plastic bags.

Another example can be seen in their recent campaign against offshore drilling.CLCV joined forces with other organizations like Oceana,Clean Water Action,and Natural Resources Defense Council,to launch an aggressive campaign aimed at stopping new offshore drilling leases from being issued along America's coasts.Their hard work paid off when President Obama announced his decision not issue any new offshore drilling leases along America's coasts.This victory was celebrated by many Californians who had been fighting against offshore drilling for years.
