Calico Spanish is such a great easy-to-use, comprehensive curriculum based on compelling comprehensible input principles. I enjoyed using with my Kindergarten students this past year.

This is an excellent curriculum. It is easy to use and based on a very sensible language learning philosophy. It is wonderful to use with young children. The graphics are colorful and engaging and the songs are so well loved by the kids.

I'm so grateful for Calico's Spanish curriculum in this time of E-Learning. Their collection of lessons is extensive and high interest for my Kinder - 3 students. There's lots of variety and the lesson plans are easy to follow and adjust for online teaching. ~ Muchas gracias Calico

I subscribed to Calico Spanish to teach my kids Spanish during the Covid-19 pandemic. I've been wanting to teach them Spanish for ages, and though I felt like now was the right time to do it, I didn't feel like I could do it without using a pre-established curriculum (I work full time, and can hardly put my socks on right sometimes during this pandemic haha). I did a lot of research into which program to commit to and settled on Calico based on the method and positive reviews. I've been so very pleased! After following the curriculum for about 3 weeks now, my kids, 10 and 8, have told me that they love learning Spanish. They often sing the songs that they learn through the curriculum while doing other things, like taking walks or showers (ha!). The continuity of the characters in the videos is really helping them, and they ask to see Pedro (one of the main characters) often. I'm very happy with the outcome, and pleased that the curriculum continues to build. Pandemic or no, I intend to navigate through the whole curriculum with the kids. :)

I started Calico with my 5 and 3 yo daughters and it became a part of our morning routine. The kids loved the videos and characters, and were thrilled to play the games. We did one lesson every day and it was really amazing to hear them answering the questions that were being asked in Spanish in just a few lessons. We've been doing it for just under a year, my kids are starting up random conversations with the Spanish speaking members of our church, watching cartoons in Spanish, and speaking to each other in Spanish.

Developing programs for Calico is the most fun project I have ever worked on! Try it for your kids - it's the most fun and effective resource out there!
