Went with my GBO group during orientation. I felt like we were like once of those tour groups in foreign countries that stops by a gift shop because of a "local deal" with the gift shop and the tour company. I didn't really feel like that it was necessary for freshman orientation, they just wanted more money.

Get your textbooks and school merchandise here. They also have a surprisingly large amount of stuff now, from make up to phone cases.

Insanely overpriced, mainly carries just clothes, and it lacks all the knick knacks a real campus store should have. For visitors, here's a secret for cheaper Cal Gear: Bancroft Clothing Company across the street has a lot for insanely lower prices, like half of what you would pay at the Campus Store. Their selection is also better in my opinion. You can also check out the Student Store, which is also across the street. It's selection of goods is larger, but still a little on the pricier side--though not as expensive again as the campus store.

Nice staff and cool gear, but can go across the street and get same things for 1/3 of the price but maybe not name brand.

It was awesome to reconnect to this campus where I earned my PhD over a decade ago and pick up some mementos at the Cal Student Store to commemorate my weekend here. The sites near the Store are beautiful and memorable.

I assume the high prices subsidize the school. But Harvard's is no cheaper and it is cheaper than NFL swag. If their kid makes it into Berkeley they need the swag to show their pride!!!

It's like the UC Berkeley gift shop. It has nice stuff. Low end to high end items. I am alumni so I have to give it 5 stars!

Just move a few meters to find the same type of gadget at much cheaper prices.

A quite large store with a range of items. Similar (if not the same) to the one across the street.

It is the official clothing store for UC Berkeley. It gets a little cramped when a lot of people are in the store

This book store was absolutely great and has a lot of new books for students and even my favorite book writer. It was a bit pricey it is depend on the issue and famous series. Great service and well organized store that is well managed.

Great selection of Berkeley themed items of high quality. You pay for it, however. Keep your receipt for easy returns.

UC Berkeley The souvenir store at the University of California, Berkeley, has two floors above and below, and can be visited for a while.

So much Cal gear! Variety of clothing and souvenirs was just what I was looking for!

Good place to purchase "authentic" Cal Gear, but the prices are definitely too expensive. There are multiple Cal Gear stores literally right across the street that sell for less and are of the same, if not better, quality.

For textbooks, same applies. The other stores have price matching and thus have overall lower prices for the same materials.

The restaurant is the typical American university store. There are two floors, the basement for men, the first floor for women. The shop is well-assorted of all kinds of clothing and gadgets. The Cal has as Under Armor technical sponsor and there is a department that has only this clothing line. When I was there, there was little staff, but still available and was able to answer my questions. Recommended if you want to bring home a Cal's appeal

I like this book store it was always have a great books you need. I love the books and selections they have all the best books you want and goods customer service as well.

Very overpriced merchandise and very limited selection of student products. It's a two story building with dedicated sections for both boys and girls however everyone ends up going to the boys section. In terms of accessibility, there is stairs that you can walk but if you are disabled, there is a ramp to get in as well as an elevator to navigate the two floors of the store.

I wouldnt suggest buying anything here their upcharge is insane. Go across the street to one of the 10 other stores that sell cal merch.
