Not bad. Good if you are a student. What's really funny is that older guys in their late 30s are coming here. Let me guess..because drinks are cheap and you are trying to get a waay younger girl than your age. Probably because younger girls have lower standards than older ones.

Had a party there with 2 booths. Overall pretty good experience, we would go again. There were a couple bad patches in the music, but mostly it was great. The bartender was very busy, but a bouncer made sure he helped to keep us with whatever we needed. Everyone had a great night

Friendly bouncers and bartenders. Cheap drinks. No cover before 11 if you sign up ahead to be on the guest list. AMAZING music. Spacious dance floor. Would go again.

Bar brawl caused a huge mess and my headphones to be destroyed and no reimbursement

DJ was good had a good variety of music, no problem at coat check, drinks were cheap, and the bartender was great. Overall good club

Good size with multiple booths. Two bars at either end of the dance floor, one bar on upper level near entrance. Played top 40 on new years eve, did not like most songs

The music is great always bumping, the drinks are cheap and good compare to other places. Come here and see the energy in this place.

The music was great and prices were decent but my boyfriend was told he had to leave and was given no reason why. He wasn't that drunk. Not stumbling or being aggressive, nothing. Seems to be a recurring thing of theirs based on other reviews. Keep scaring away customers that want to have a good night and you'll run yourselves into the ground!

Mishmash of music, some rap, some hip hip, some 90s/2000s, and some top 40s. The drinks were great (also cheap), the bartenders were attentive (they never ignored you for long periods), and if you got there early (and signed up for the email guest list before 9), you got in free! So pretty great.
The only con was how crowded it was. It's a pretty small space

Me and a couple of friends went to Cake on a Saturday and decided to get bottle service.
I won't say much about the environment as many others have already described it.
Some of the bouncers are cool. However, the bad apples ruin it. While one bouncer was OK with us taking the bottle we had outside the booth, another decided to lay hands on me for it. Being aggressive with someone whom has purchased bottle service seems extreme, as a simple verbal cue of 'Bottles must stay in the booth' would have been sufficient.
We definitely won't be going back.

I arrived at the cake bar and was disappointed to learn there was no "actual" cake.

Full of very pervy men, constantly grinding on or trying go touch women. Tiny place and on Saturday it's HEAVY r&b. Some may love this place, I wouldn't go with girlfriends again.

Kicked me out for no reason, went for a birthday event and i was the driver. Came out for a smoke and was told i couldn't get back in everyone left, this place is a joke. Dont go.

Had a great experience with friends. The DJ was nice too

We booked a booth for a bachelorette party, and had an great time! Our server was great too! Great prices on drinks and bottle service.

Got a bottle service for my birthday party. It's the worst bottle service I ever experienced. Instead of advertising it as a bottle service, they should say bottle with no service. Well, if you are cheap, just like to grab a few drinks and don't care about getting a booth, then go for it. The drink is cheap and the music is ok. on top of that, the cover is free until 11.30.

Really fun! Good music and attentive bartenders. I like how there are two levels if you want to sit or dance. Would definitely go again.

I always have a fun time every time I go to Cake. The staff is super friendly. The house DJs, Lexx and Rick Toxic, are the best in the city. The bachorlette and birthday party packages keep my friends and I returning. Plus, don't forget about how cheap the drinks are!!! $4 for wells and beer all night! That's an amazing price point for a club in Toronto.

Way too many girls puking up pasta on the dancefloor and farting on the dance floor

Just like the description says- unpretentious. Crowd is great, so is the music. One of my go to, if not only, casual nightclub (and I'm not even a fan of clubbing lol).

Great security, cheep drinks but that's about it. Everything else is just terrible. Very ratchet environment.

I've never had such a terrible experience at a club.

My friends and I ordered 4 shots, the bill came to $24. I had given the bartender $40 expecting to receive $16 back. I waited a few minutes and then asked the bartender where my change was and he had said that because I waited more then 30 seconds that I cannot get my change. He said that this is their "policy" and that it is considered a tip after 30 seconds.

My friend had sent an email and we have not heard back from them. Definitely don't recommend.

So blah. Terrible young crowd. Everyone is dressed to poorly. I hate coming here. Why are you still playing Pittbull?

Absolutely love it here! When a place offers free cover before 11 PM (if you guest-list) and $3 drinks all night, what gets better than that for a night in Toronto!

Even better, just celebrated my birthday there this past weekend and they have the best deals!

$100 for bottle service with only a 1 bottle minimum! With tax and tip this came to $125, which aint bad at all! For that value you get your choice of captain morgan's white rum, smirnoff vodka, and two other choices I forget. You also get your choice of 3 mixes, a couple cupcakes, a bucket of ice, balloons, and a bunch of dollar store birthday gear like pins and necklaces which was fun! You also get free cover before 11 PM and line by pass since you go in a separate line on the left.

The funniest part is when the photographer comes around and very eagerly put me beside each person in my party 1 by 1 to snap a photo. Overall, thought it was hilarious, cuz when you're in that state, it's a little hard to take clear pictures.

In simplest terms, amazing night! 1 small shortfall though, where did the cupcakes go :( Looks like they disappeared before we got a chance to eat them!

Pretty rude security that targets out minorities and will refuse entry without cause. This place has a reputation of having horrible security. Save your time and money and go to another club.

Amazing! I went when DJ Michel Brack was playing and he killed it!

The bartender at the lower bar by the dance floor refused to serve me doubles even though it was only my second round. My friend later asked for doubles as well but he told her that because she didn't tip well last time he wouldn't give her doubles. I'm sorry but tips are a bonus, not mandatory. Other than that the place was a bit small but good music.

Racist staff. Kicked out no reason nobody couldnt explain why

If you plan on getting a booth & get wasted, do not attempt to go here. The staff will try their best to kick you out from your booth because you "had too much." The vip booth part of the club is not ventilated properly and you can feel the cold winds coming from outside through the wall. Overall, there's a lot more affordable and good clubs out there, save this one as your last one on the list

If you can't find anywhere to go. Rely on cake for a good night without blowing $ out your as$

Randomly kicking people out. Seems like when they over capacity they just pick a few from the crowd. Didn't happen to me, but to a friend who was with us. Anyway, bad way to deal with customers. Just say "we're over capacity, go somewhere else" and that's fine.

I celebrated my gf's bachlorette here june 2015 sat nite.

I had awesome nite, The service was awesome and the music was okay (tons of dance and more new music for 19-22 yr old) . I love that water is available at the bar, so u don't need to bother the bartender.

We did a booth and bottle service and I was able to substitute one bottle for 16 beer tix's. Great the bride doesn't drink liquor. There were 8 girls with us

The club is cozy and has lot's of character. I would recommend this bar to anyone as it is affordable. The drinks are cheap and service is great. There was a different mix of people. I was super happy.

Horrible place, went here as a part of 12 bars (I understand it was busy for the place) and could not find my girlfriend anywhere. When I went to check outside, the bouncer told me to get back inside. After explaining the situation, he began to yell at me and that if I did not get back inside, I d be kicked out of the club. Extremely disrespectful bouncers. Will never come back to this club ever again. Went to fiction afterwards and had a much better time.

Edit: I forgot to mention I found my girlfriend outside as she went out with a friend. They made her wait in line again to enter the club without a jacket in minus degree weather.

Bartenders start telling me how a friend needs to be cut off so we go outside for a smoke, and fat bouncer tells my drunk friend they're allowed in but stops me (sober) from entering, saying that I'm to drunk. He then proceeds to tell me to go get a poutine & return. Probably have arrangements with the place next door to send drunk people their way. The security is garbage and I witnessed more calm and innocent people kicked out that night for no legitimate reason. Probably capacity so they kick out paying customers where they can. If there was negative stars, this place would get it.

One of our favourite clubs, my friends and I are here almost every weekend! The bouncers are always super nice, which makes for a great start to the night. Haven t met friendlier bouncers anywhere else. The owner is also great, very involved and attentive. He s always there and takes the time & effort to resolve any issues. Great price for drinks too, $3!!

Most of the ppl are 19 Y/o here.
But cheap to rent a booth.
$125 on Friday with unlimited orange juice, coke and cranberry juice. Also, they give you couple of cup cakes if it's a birthday event.

Not only is the bartender pregnant but the owner was rude. Convinced us to pay a cover charge and didn't give change. Spaghetti all over the dance floor , caused a few skanks to trip and spill drinks. People smoke cigarettes and meth in the bathroom. Drinks were cheap because they have no alcohol. Told everyone outside how much it sucked, caused them to leave.

Good luck paying your rent, friend. I'm not your friend, buddy. I'm not your buddy, guy. I'm not your guy, friend..etc.

I was a little bit tipsy but they let me in anyway and once I paid they kicked me out even though I didn t bother anyone or harrassed anyone. They care about money than good time. They re really bad don t go there

It s a nice vibe, mostly younger people though.
The music is okay, they should play better songs.
Other than that, the staff is super nice and overall good crowd.

Trashy vibe. No seating, small dance floor with minimal lighting effects. Looks like people had to handle their own liquor in bottle service and someone was getting changed while we were waiting for coat check. Unfortunate first expirence of Toronto night life.

Cheap drinks is ggreat not the biggest fan of guys standing around in the middle of the dance floor. Nice atmosphere, good music.

The club was okey. Bottle service guy was friendly bottles where cheap free mixes... the club was packed from 1130-1245 ish ... and the all of a sudden... it was all fat girls and thirsty dudes. I was there for my birthday we were a group of 30 and no one was having fun after 1245... but the drinks were cheap so we stayed. But we all agreed at the end of the night we'd never go back.

Pros: cheap drinks 100$ booth+bottle, friendly staff

Cons: music was good hip hop for 20 minutes then changed to technoed top 40 (yuck), crowd is quite young mostly 19s, club was dead really fast.

I wouldn't recommend this club to anyone over the age.of 22.

The only reason of a full rating is due to the security staff here. Lenient dress code, they don't deliberately make people wait at the door. Small place, dance flo0r is tiny, but I've had a good time here without the hustle and waiting outside for no reason. I recommend it based on there security alone. Keep it up

Solid experience. Booked a booth with Greg and all went smoothly. Booths & overall bottle service aren't as nice as other spots but significantly cheaper so no complaints. We had to get served at the bar like everyone else, I think we were only checked on once but understaffing was apparent. Atmosphere was slightly more casual than most clubs which would appeal to many. Music was pretty standard with some weak spots. Had a bunch of randoms in my section later in the night and security was very helpful clearing them out.

Went for a birthday party. Staff/security are really cool but there were a TON of 30-40 year old creepers just staring, lurking or trying to force you to dance with them. There are definitely better clubs to spend your Saturday night at.

Been going to cake for my birthday for about 2 years now.. there's something about this place that differentiates it from other clubs. The vibe is so good and the music is always bumping! Even if you get there before 11 you'll start feeling everything you should when you're out clubbing!! Great prices, good vibes, good music, and it's a nice intimate setting. 100% would reccomend!

Always have a good time with my friends! Cheap drinks, good music and the crowd isn't too bad but when you go with friends you'll have a good time no matter what.

No seating unless you have bottle service, which isn't really bottle service because you have to mix your own drinks! Dance floor was almost non-existent. Staff was very nice though.

There's a man in the washroom and you can't wash your hands without him extorting you for money by giving you soap or helping you somehow (pretty sure I can wash my own hands fam). This ends up in nearly all the guys just not washing their hands. Gross.

The white bouncer who was taking cover took my tenner and then denied having the money when his companion came back to stamp my wrist so I had to pay double cover. I tried pleading with him but he simply walked away as I stated my case.

Otherwise a generally terrible place to spend $10 on a watery drink and listen to the usual Drake playlist.

Got bottle service and booth for $250 dollars including tip and unlimited free entry for all of my friends before 11 .

This is definitely my favourite place to be when going out for the night. The vibe here is AMAZING, the lighting has the perfect balance between being hella awesome but not too overwhelming, the music mixes are good, there's three different bars available on the same floor, and the staff are the friendliest people I've ever met at a nightclub. Will undoubtedly be going back for many times to come! <3

Good place for a night out clubbing. Security is pretty cool, good music plays, and the atmosphere is great. Some songs on the playlist arent the best though, but overall a solid club. Definitely recommend this over bar 244 or croc rock.

It was a great place, security and staff were friendly but there is one bartender in the first floor, I'd say to her "if you don't like this job then do something else." when someone asks you to surprise them with a cocktail you don't mix them whiskey and water. And that attitude...

Cons-ATM claims that they charge $3 with you withdraw cash but there s another $1.50 on top of the $3 charge so bring cash

The sound in the club is Excellent , the d.j. is really good , prices are not so expensive , nice customers , however ...there was a bad smelling inside like sweating people and it wasn't even summer so ... They need a better ventilation system to keep the air nice and fresh .

WORST NIGHTCLUB EVER
My cousin was asked to leave and he didn t even act weird. They let too many people in to make money and then randomly kick out whoever they can. And once you re out, you re out. Even if you tell them you left something behind they just won t listen and act rude. Unless you re a girl and choose to flirt with their pervy security guards lol. It was a gift worth 70$. They still don t care. Had to ask the cops to make them give my stuff back. Don t go here, thank me later.

The employees seemed to be doing mandatory volunteer service from a local prison. Pretty sure one of the security guards was actually a homeless man who was just heckling foreigners. Their services were advertised online for 18+ year olds, and after the 15 minute walk through the tundra we call Toronto the homeless bouncer told us that they lied through their teeth. Garbage advertising and services for a garbage bar.

Unprofessional management! We reserved a booth and a bottle service one week before the event, and called twice to confirm it. No one answered, and even when leaving a voice message, they contacted us to say that there is no more places anymore, the same night of the event!! I dont recommande it at all! Waste of time.

Looks nothing like the photos. Ordered bottle service and was led to a corner with some benches that I guess was supposed to look like a booth. Basic music. Bad service. Terrible security guards on a power trip.

The drinks are cheap but the bar in general is mismanaged. There is no organization, from the line outside, to the staff inside. It's a circus. The place was clearly over capacity, which is fire hazard but Greg the manager doesn't care because it is just a ploy to get money from people, which eventually get kicked out as other reviews have pointed out. He's a thief!

Went here on Saturday night. Was only here for about an hour and a bit when one of my girls had to go to the bathroom. We all start to head in that direction and as she entered the woman's bathroom the MALE security guard pushes ahead of us and pushes open the woman's bathroom door and tells her she can't go in. There was no reason for this. He wouldn't tell her why she couldn't go but after a few minutes he let her back in; power trip much. What gets me is that he felt he had a right to enter the woman's bathroom; disgusting!

Went here for my birthday and got a booth and bottle service. Had an absolutely amazing night! The staff is extremely friendly and the music was great! The bottles are also very fairly priced compared to other clubs in Toronto that charge way too much. 10/10 experience here!
