Huge and fresh ear hangers! Other pastries and buns are also big and fresh. The coffee and tea selection is ok.
Great location and in summer a nice little terrace on the Esplanade.

Extensive menu and average but expensive cocktails. Great street views for people watching. I sat inside and enjoyed cold smoke salmon and slaw paired with a Jameson coke cocktail. Sidewalk tables and seating are also available. Its in a shopping and entertainment area so people watching is a must.

Pay for a coffee and then drink coffee as much as you can.

Come have a big beautiful salad. Great warm talkie boozy coffee house bistro atmosphere.

I LOVE it! I have been there several times & it is a favorite of mine. This is the "celebrity coffee shop," in case anyone is curious. At this point it is a bit of a tourist trap. That is not a bad thing, in my opinion. Pastries & coffees are very expensive here so it is probably only good for a visit every now & then. Working bathrooms, the coffee shop is on a scenic part of town, it's located near a bus stop & subway, etc

Orders are prepaid at the cashier counter. Coffee can be put into a cup by yourself for self-service. Buy a blueberry danish ... The texture is different from the danish sold in Japan, and it has a strong texture. In addition, cinnamon is kneaded and is delicious. recommendation.

Historic cafe but overpriced food and drinks. They have one of the largest cinnamon buns you will see in Helsinki but the texture is rather too dry and taste bland.

Cafe Esplanad is a long time favorite of mine. Great coffee and fresh pastries or light salt.
Sometimes it's quite busy, so if you can choose the time you want to avoid the busiest times.

I was satisfied with the atmosphere of 10.5 euros, a lot of fish, a fishy salmon soup and a bread loaf.

Time after time this old establishment continues to amaze me. At a premium location the prices can be kinda steep but what you get for your money is really worth it. Unlike many old cafes in Finland, they actually have their own roastery and make superb coffee. Even their decaf americano was delicious!

Clean, friendly staff. Gelato is a little sweet for my taste, but everyone else loved it. Coffee is good.

One of the best places in town to relax and have a cuppa. During the warmer months it's possible to sit outside and listen to the enormous number of seagulls that sometimes plague the boulevard. Always like to come back.

Excellent value for money. Large ear hangers, etc. On the terrace next to the entrance, smoking is a big minus, the cart comes inside.

The coffee is good and is self-serve re-fill! The large pudding and strawberries cake was yummie. On a sunny day, their terrace is a grand place to see the world pass by. Which is what we did twice :))

This cafe faces Esplanade Street. There are many seats and you can relax. The clerk was also kind. Salmon soup was delicious.

No more humongous cinnamon rolls, tosca pies, and rahka piirakka. Staff needs to wear PPE, if not masks.

The place itself is cozy, but not any full grain made from whole grain. White dry bread is bread and 'useless': not a bite of joy, but not the nutrition of rye bread. Otherwise, the bread was filled with dry grass. Service slow and lingering, though there was no queue. Environment good.

Lovely cafe. Good buns and tarts. The price is good and the feel is really good, a bit Central European. Queuing is a bit messy, but you shouldn't go out for a coffee in a hurry. It was a hearty and delicious meal here. Location ten.

Cinnamon rolls are authentic Finnish cuisine. The cinnamon rolls in this restaurant are huge. The cinnamon sticks are fragrant and not too sweet. The bread texture is thick and delicious.
Maybe the cinnamon rolls are too good. The thick eyebrows think that the blueberry batch is a bit too sweet, and it is relatively discolored, but it uses fresh blueberries, which is commendable.
There are a lot of seats in the restaurant, and there are many sofa seats. The customers sit comfortably. It is definitely a good place for dessert after dinner, but it is too early to close at nine. If you have the opportunity to go to Helsinki, remember to help early.

There's room for something to wish on the salad. Unclean toilets. Somehow you wish there was "glamor of the past" in this style place, but it remains weak ...

Otherwise the service is friendly, but far too few staff on Sunday. However, there are plenty of tourists and locals alike. There was a sense of maximizing profit in this place. I will not go again if the matter does not improve.

Food and drink was fine. Would expect more from a classy famous cafe. Not so friendly service, seems like they were having a hassle despite evening hours(should not be that busy)

Large room with fairly simple decor, mixed clientele.

Lovely earl grey. Great atmosphere. Wonderful selection of cakes and bakery items. Giant cinnamon buns!
