Great place for coffee and beignets. Beignets come in normal size and bite-size, which are great for kids. They make traditional beignets and chocolate beignets. They make regular coffee, chicory coffee, cafe au lait, etc. Muffins, oatmeal, various pastries, cookies, etc. Prices are very reasonable. You order and pay at the counter, but they will bring your order to you and clean up after you. There is parking available behind the restaurant. The restrooms are clean.

I am honestly not a pastry person but everyone and their mothers told me to get a beignet. I also didn t want to go to the typical cafe du monde because of i don t like to go to mainstream places =P. This place did not disappoint! I like how the dough is not sweet and it just has powdered sugar on top. Simple yet delicious especially paired with a cup of coffee. Did I mention it was freshly made? Not sitting in the counter for hours!

They were no longer selling chocolate beignets and the coffee was solid. The staff is very patient despite a busy Sunday morning and difficulty hearing through a mask in the lively atmosphere.

Met a government official to re-certify my security clearance. Had to bring my 7 years old granddaughter with me. She sat at another table across the room in full view eating bignets and the staff provided her with crayons and something to color. A win win. Thanks! Oh, she says the bignets are delicious... Enjoy!

Incredible and friendly service. Love that they make them for you fresh. They made some new type of chocolate beignets for me and they were awesome. Was worth the side trip as I left town. Can't wait to go back.

Went this morning for beignets and fraps and they would not make me or my friend a frap. Place was pretty empty at 9:45 a.m. and neither of us were able to get what we wanted because of a special Mardi Gras limited menu. Lost a $25 sale because we left without buying anything. Almost forgot to mention that we drove to St. Charles Avenue and Milan Street from the airport because we don't like Cafe du Monde.

Manager Gouge was extremely rude and condescending! He left me at the counter waiting for service and did not like being asked questions. This use to be my go to coffee shop for coffee and studying, but after my experience today I am on the look out for somewhere different.

Good coffee, beignets were not worth the money, calories or powdered sugar dust on my top. The whole table area was destroyed by powdered sugar... on EVERY table. But employees were super cordial and it was a very cozy environment... it was the southern decadence weekend... so maybe it was just slammed prior to our arrival and they didn't have time to clean. Other than that, it was worth a return trip just for the coffee!

Beignets are best in town but pass on chocolate ones that had a peculiar taste that no one enjoyed. Embarrassed my out of town guests. Would only go back if I had a lot of time and money

About Cafe Beignet

Cafe Beignet: The Best Place to Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth in New Orleans

If you're looking for a place to indulge your sweet tooth while exploring the vibrant city of New Orleans, look no further than Cafe Beignet. With four locations throughout the French Quarter, Cafe Beignet is the go-to spot for locals and tourists alike who are craving delicious beignets.

What are beignets, you ask? They're a traditional pastry that originated in France and were brought over to Louisiana by French settlers. These deep-fried doughnuts are typically covered in powdered sugar and served hot and fresh. At Cafe Beignet, they take this classic treat to the next level with their own unique twist.

One of the things that sets Cafe Beignet apart from other beignet shops in New Orleans is their commitment to using only high-quality ingredients. They make their dough from scratch every day using flour, yeast, sugar, salt, eggs, milk and butter. This ensures that each beignet is fresh and delicious every time.

In addition to their classic powdered sugar beignets, Cafe Beignet also offers a variety of other flavors such as chocolate-filled or fruit-filled options. They even have savory options like crawfish or shrimp beignets for those who want something a little different.

But it's not just about the food at Cafe Beignet - it's also about the atmosphere. Each location has its own unique charm with outdoor seating areas perfect for people-watching while enjoying your pastry. The music playing inside adds an extra layer of ambiance with live jazz performances at some locations.

Cafe Beignet has been serving up these delectable treats since 1990 when they opened their first location on Royal Street in the heart of the French Quarter. Since then they've expanded to three more locations including one on Bourbon Street which is open 24 hours a day!

But don't just take our word for it - Cafe Beignet has received numerous accolades over the years including being named "Best Place for Breakfast" by Gambit Weekly multiple times as well as being featured on Food Network's "The Best Thing I Ever Ate".

So whether you're looking for a quick snack or a leisurely breakfast spot with friends or family while visiting New Orleans- head over to one of Café Begnet’s four locations today!
