Cabell huntington hospital Review

I am from out of town, but was trying to pick up personal items for my mom who was briefly admitted to Cabell before insisting on going to St. Mary's. Now, I know why she didn't want to stay at this dump. The place looks really dirty and run-down for a hospital. The staff is rude as well. She always said they don't care about people at Cabell. A hyper-aggressive security guard at the ER at about 8 pm 6/1/21 got triggered that I called a relative to check and make sure my mom didn't leave belongings at Cabell. He told me to "finish my call outside" rather tersely. "WOW...ok. No problem." Shaking my head. Woe to anyone needing the assistance of rude and unprofessional staff at this flea bag hospital.

Only in hospital 2hrs. That is unheard of. Was seen in a timely manner. Xrays were taken and read in a short time.The Nurse practitioner wrapped my knee and told me what to take. I was upset because of no pain relief .

Let me start with the nurse reassuring me my mother was in great hands. A mother of 86 years old with Covid pneumonia The nurse seemed very nice but after she thought we ended the call we actually didn t. I heard her saying to two other nurses very negative and Inappropriate things In regards to my request of caring for my mother. I let them talk then I spoke out to inform them our call didn t end. I was then hung up on. I called several times and guess what? No answer. Two hours later my mother called. Wanted me to take her hone. No one in this hospital checked in on her. Also let me add. No one even responded in person to speak to me. This is a 86 year old woman who was very reluctant in going to hospital to begin with. Once I complain then omg the attention she got. My mother no longer trust this hospital or it s staff. She told them she wanted to leave. Regardless her health. Then she was told . then why did you come here to start with? Her response I thought you could help me but I guess not . This is a Pathetic irresponsible way of taking care of the senior citizens especially those who are impacted by Covid I and My family are going to pursue legal action toward this irresponsible behavior of a hospital attached is a photograph after we got her home they didn t even remove her pick line, so you tell me this a hospital do you want to take your family members to? Pathetic excuse of a hospital if I could rate is zero negative I would

We sat in the ER for over 6 hours before going to a bed in the ER. They were not that busy and were very rude when we asked about how long it would be. This was the first and last time I will come here. Horrible experience.

Unbelievable place. doctors have 0 compassion, Nurses were amazing. My mother's stuff comes up missing after she passes away, and you would think hospital administration would try to help! not so much if you go there make sure you give your family members your personal Property to take home This place helped make a terrible experience even worse!!!!

My 5 week old son has a bacterial infection in his bloodstream along with a virus and they have done everything in their power to cure him. The doctors are very professional, friendly and make sure you are appropriately informed about every medication, every test, every diagnosis. My son was transferred (2 hours away) here at 11pm at night and the nurses and Drs kept me informed by phone, and cared for him until I could get my other children cared for and come to the hospital the following day. No complaints! He still has a week or two to finish treatment and I do not feel my son could receive better medical care anywhere else. Our regular pediatrician did a wonderful job catching his illness and moving us here.

I have to say that their maternity ward was absolutely amazing! I had a c section in 2019 and They were so nice. The ladies in the OR while I was having my surgery was so thoughtful and knowledgeable. Very clean. They were so caring and made my experience of welcoming my son into this world amazing. And made me so comfortable.They were very professional and clean. The nurses in l&d was so caring and helpful. I highly recommend the labor and delivery. They always came into check on us to see how we were and if we needed anything. The NICU personnel were very friendly and caring my son had to be in there a couple days. I had my daughter at camc w&c and I wish I had her at cabell huntington.

My grandmother was transported by ambulance 48hrs ago, yesterday hip surgery.. someone DID NOT READ HER CHART, she was never supposed to be heavily sedated.. she's fighting for her life right now in ICU..no star status. If I had it my way their would be a medical malpractice lawsuit immediately..more 1star ratings then any posted!!!!!

Pitiful. Been here over 4 1/2 hours in the ER. In the hallway. I ve never in my life sat this long waiting. On a week day. Afternoon. So many people walking around. Anyone work here? Awful awful awful.
