Love this place. Really cool atmosphere here. They have an open section with a few toys and things for kids to play with and a wooden turtle for them to climb on. Then there's a section for adults where you can study or read or just talk without children running around if you prefer. The food is always great and the employees have a good attitude.

What a find!! I moved to Charlottesville in early 2018 but was never aware that this place existed until a mentor from Palmyra, VA suggested that we meet there. I arrived early to get the lay of the establishment alone. I was not disappointed. While parking must surely be a commodity on weekdays, on the Sunday that I arrived, it was not. This charming little place offers, in addition to their great coffee, great sandwiches, pastries, and wines. There's a cozy seating area which is for customers only. Given the natrual appeal, I'm certain that the posted sign that says as much, is an absolute necessity. I really like C'ville Coffee. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Stopped in for lunch, nice choices for sandwiches. The atmosphere was nice. A section for studying and a section for children. A wide variety of people were there. Have yet to try their other food and drink options

C'Ville Coffee does offer a goodly variety of options compared to other cafes; so, if you don't enjoy one item, chances are, you'll at least find something more your flavor. However, per prior reviews, the coffee and food are a bit pricey for what you receive (mainly in terms of quantity, as the quality is alright). I'll defend this practice, though, on the grounds that the space in which the cafe occupies is voluminous, such that there is always a spot to come and study, work, or hang out. The wifi is free and fairly reliable, unless there happens to be a glut of undergrads watching Hulu. Parking is ample, the baristas are friendly and unintrusive, and the patron noise level is maximally no more than a dull roar. With that in mind, I'm happy to pay a bit extra for beverages and small meals if it means that I'm able to utilize the meeting/work space, which likely costs the owners quite a bit to rent.

Excellent sandwiches. Cappuccinos vary a bit by the barista, but are never bad. Atmosphere is a little eclectic, but staff and especially owner seem eager to please. Only aspect dropping it to 4 stars is the price which is acceptable but will be a little high for some.

This is an excellent place for kids and parents AND there is a separate area for just adults. My family has come several times and played board games there. The food is quite good, the only reason is it is not 5 stars is that it is a bit pricey. In is a higher end coffee shop.

A wonderful venue for live music in an intimate setting. Didn't try the coffee but plenty of people were slurping it down. Good sandwiches. Very friendly folks. And they book terrific acts, especially if you are into bluegrass, folk, acoustic music, etc.

Super great food, desert selection, friendly atmosphere, community vibes. Easily my favorite coffee spot in town, the spaces are super inviting and really well-designed to accommodate families, individuals looking to work on their computers, or friends looking to hang out. Very friendly staff as well

I've never posted a negative review on Google before, but I've just had it with this place. Here's my honest attempt at being fair: Pros: Good coffee and food. Delicious pastries. Great spacious, relaxing lay-out. Cons: Prices are insane (even bottled water is $2.70) and internet connectivity/reliability is poor Worst of all...if you're like the 80%+ of people who come to a coffee shop to enjoy a single coffee/espresso drink, hang for a while, and then leave, then this is in essence a cash-only business ($5 minimum for all debit/credit transactions).

Here for a Friday night jazz show. Sandwiches are very tasty. Wine and beer selection is impressive for a small coffee shop. Service is friendly and the place is clean and cozy. I recommend stopping by this place to try it out.

Disappointed they are no longer using porcelain coffee cups. It's a shame because good coffee deserves porcelain or China cups... not paper. I left immediately and have no intention of going back.

We went there to see a show (which was spectacular, but obviously not going to be true for every show). We had dinner, dessert and wine there, and it was all fantastic. Berry Turkey sandwich is highly recommended as are the cookies. Good wine at a fair price.

They have good food and coffee, espresso, teas, etc. There is an area for adults only, an area for kids to play in and other tables for adults and kids. Two unisex restrooms. Occasional live music events.

What a wonderful stop on our recent trip Charlottesville. The owner was wonderful and really went out of his way to make our time special. The breakfast sandwich was tasty, I really enjoyed it with blue cheese! The ambiance is wonderful, really cool to learn about the mug collection. A must stop.

My favorite venue for small or larger meetings or by yourself, great music programs, wonderful food and service, very reasonable prices. Also ample and convenient parking. Summertime outdoor seating. Love that place.

An unexpected gem! Large, open and friendly. They serve sandwiches on one side and coffee/pastries on the other. Two seating areas with lots of tables. WiFi as good as home - I was pulling up a lot of images for a client and they loaded lightning fast. Better parking than downtown - highly recommended for those 15-minute meetings with busy clients.

Ordered through ChowNow twice about an hour in advance, both times order was sitting on counter for me to slip in and grab in all of 5 seconds. Amazingly smooth COVID-conscious operations, thanks!!

Nice ambiance, very friendly staff and tasty food. I found the wifi to be surprisingly fast (middle of the day on a Monday). Others have commented that the prices are high: maybe a bit, but I'm happy to support a local, well run establishment.

Had the chai latte with soy milk, it was okay. They only have soy, almond and 2% to choose from. The atmosphere was interesting. You walk in and the cups hanging is really cool. As you walk into the back it's part library, part restaurant and part kid area. It was very quiet though there was 30+ people inside. People were playing board games, reading or doing homework.

Quiet for doing a little day trading, half price refills on coffee, and area for adults only. Staff is courteous and politely friendly. The coffee is good. I come for the quiet space when getting out of the house.

Grossly overpriced. They make the espresso first then steam milk resulting in dead shots and bitter espresso. Go to Starbucks or Shenandoah Joes instead of supporting this overpriced local establishment.

This is a great local coffee shop with a perfectly tailored wine selection. The owner is personable, kind, and will get to know you and remember you. When he's allowed, I'm sure he's itching to have live music back. They get some awesome people doing small regional tours and with eclectic styles. Save some delicious Honey Bunches for me!

The food is great: there are many vegetarian and vegan options that aren't bland. It's a bit pricey, though. The atmosphere is unique- sophisticated and yet family friendly. I love being able to enjoy my coffee while my toddler plays in the play area.

Revised to 4 stars: much better experience and good iced coffee. Good little shop with a cool vibe and ambiance. Had an iced coffee and an egg and cheese wheat wrap. Coffee was very good. Wrap was good, nothing spectacular, average (when small tweaks in preparation could ve made it great). My deduction of a point from 4 to 3 here was for the friendliness of the staff. I read so many reviews on here raving about that aspect, but I only received muttered sentences and scowls. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, maybe a few of them just had a bad day. I just didn t feel like I was welcome there and it was a chore for them to take and make my order. That s the hipster way I guess, pretend like you re all about peace and love, except when it comes to your actual fellow man that you re interacting with in the present moment. Good luck with that when you step out of your bubbles!

Been coming here off and on for years. Nice, comfortable place, with really good coffee and food. Staff are friendly and kind. I recently asked them about setting aside their used coffee grounds for me to use in my garden, which they agreed to and have been very accommodating in providing. I know that's not what most people are looking for in a coffee shop, but I think it shows that they're a business interested in helping out the local community, which is really cool. Thanks!

This place is wonderful. It s a great place for sandwiches, coffee, cookies, wine, music, studying, board games with friends, and just relaxing. The decorations are so cozy and beautiful, there s outdoor seating, a kids area and an adults area, and non-gendered, clean bathrooms. Such a cute yet spacious place to hang out!
