I first became aware of Buzyb on the internet and it looked appealing to me because of their competitive prices. However, I had several issues.
I contacted the company and dealt with a gentleman named Mohammed Fawad. After my first phone call, I contacted Fawad via whatsapp in which I sent him a message several times. It took nearly 2 weeks for Fawad to respond and finally organize cargo boxes.
Nevertheless, I packed my belongings and arranged for Fawad to collect my shipment from my address when I was ready, there after I found the customer service extremely terrible.
After paying for the service inevitably a customer would expect updates of the entire process. Firstly, on the day of payment Fawad added an unknown delivery charge and for the carton he dropped off. I disputed these charges as this was not advertised at all and this was the first I was hearing of these charges. I was already paying per kg and the charge for the document and airway bill charge, which was advertised.
Fawad, made me feel like I was giving him trouble by asking for an update. He had informed me that my shipment will be in holding for 48 hours, after paying, wherein I will receive a code for the airway bill. I made it clear that I was flying out and that I will not be able to intercept such code so he said he will do it the next day once I land.
When I landed, Fawad then said I will receive the code another 2 days later! when I asked why he ignored me. Over the next two days, Fawad continued to ignore my calls and text messages. When he finally responded he was very rude and said 'he has spent a lot of time on my SMALL shipment' Firstly, it is his responsibility as the cargo company to ensure my shipment is sent and explain the process to me (bearing in mind that I still hadn't received the code for the airway bill at this point and I did not understand why nor did he explain why). Next, 'SMALL!' sorry but a shipment is a shipment regardless of size. I am paying for a service and it is my right to know what is happening whether it is the largest shipment he has ever done or the smallest. It still demands the same attention as any other shipment.
At this point, I was very upset and explained how unprofessional I thought he was being with ignoring me and making me feel my shipment was not important. Fawad's response to this was 'am I educated or not! and that I should check the tracking'!!! Who dares to tell someone if they are educated or not? This is extremely rude! especially when you trust a company with your personal belongings!! I am educated enough to know that a company does not treat their customers in this way.
At this point my shipment was still in the Saudi Arabia and all he said was that my shipment was still in the airport for clearance so what tracking should I be checking?? Does it make sense to track a shipment if it hasn't left the country!!?? He simply was passing me on as he did not want to deal with my queries.
He forwarded me a number for a contact in the UK but I could not understand why I should contact the customs gentleman in the UK when my shipment was still in KSA. I received no response from Fawad in this matter.
So, I decided to call the contact in the UK and pleaded with the man to lease with Fawad to find out what is happening with my shipment. I spoke to the UK contact ONCE and he did more for me then Fawad did in this entire process! That is saying something.
Buzyb must learn to make their customers feel safe and trusted as they are dealing with personal belongings. I did not know anything about what was happening with my shipment other than 'it is at the airport'. Fawad did not make me feel comfortable and made me feel a lot of anxiety about my shipment.
I should have realized from the beginning that this was going to a long and difficult process when it took Fawad so long to respond to my initial requests.
I would have rather paid more with another company and a more well known company who would have made me feel safe then with Buzyb who did nothing but be discourteous and unprofessional!
