Called them for section 8 for my mother and they said the department is closed and they don't know when it will reopen. They don't let you inside the facility unless its for payments or emergency stuff.
They also put you on hold for a long time.

If you call AVOID Jessica at all costs, she wants to be employee of the month and treats you horrible, she talks down on you (passive agreesive). When I asked to speak to the credit department supervisor she denied me and said she is the only supervisor there. Which is NOT true because I have spoken to that supervisor before and she is understanding and willing to help. We all fall behind on our Bill's. Jessica thinks money just magically appears. She won't turn our services on, but what she doesn't understand is if she doesn't (us paying any amount we have) then our business will have to close and Burbank water and power will never see a dime from us, because we won't have money to pay them.

I think the people who work here are very nice and helpful. And I have no problem with my water or how it tastes. I think the department is very good. But I have never been able to use the website to pay my bill. Months have gone by and many conversations but still it does not function. I don't live in California full time so this has been a problem for me, and I have to call the company every month to talk about the issue, and today I am about to call them yet again.

Wow. I have NEVER had water this awful. I can't rinse a single thing because anything this water touches turns white when it dries. It tastes as bad as all LA water, but since I've seen what it does to my sink and dishes, I bought my own drinking water, until we got a $100 distiller that takes a good amount of electricity to run.

And to top it off, this is the FIRST time I'd EVER had to PAY for water in an apartment. So not only is this water detrimental to everything it touches, but now I have to pay for that? Excellent. I was annoyed, but when I got a pamphlet in the mail from them PRAISING their water quality I had to put my foot down. Is a mafia/government or something shady front for something else? Because just telling people a crappy thing is good, does not make it so. If you live in Burbank, you should write to them. If we all just let it go, they'll never change. =(

I think someone, or all of, management needs to be replaced here. Their customer service is HORRIBLE both on the phone and in person, the website always seems to be not working properly, but most importantly- they get hacked ALOT and do nothing to fix it as aggressively as they should. And they have not once publicly apologized for any of it.

Special soft and wonderful staff. Like I was used to in Kansas. Efficient and super customer focused. Add to that a historic Art Deco building and you would be happy to buy a ticket just to come inside each month and pay your bill. Bravo!

Best utility company we've ever dealt with, and we've lived in several different parts of the country and dealt with quite a few utility companies over the decades. Paying our bills online is a cinch, and contacting people in various departments has always been impressively easy and productive. We can track our usage online and quickly pinpoint ways to save money. They've given us rebates for energy saving appliances we've purchased, and they've supplied some terrific tips on conserving water.

Terrible service. The website has a lot of bugs for paying and it not very user friendly. Once you get out they will keep charging you even if you stopped the service. this review will not matter since its a monopoly and you dont have any other option in burbank. Thats also why they suck.

About Burbank Water and Power

Burbank Water and Power: Providing Reliable and Sustainable Energy Solutions

Burbank Water and Power (BWP) is a publicly-owned utility company that has been serving the city of Burbank, California since 1913. The company provides reliable and sustainable energy solutions to over 45,000 customers in the area. BWP is committed to delivering high-quality services while maintaining affordable rates for its customers.

One of the key features of BWP is its commitment to sustainability. The company has implemented several initiatives aimed at reducing its carbon footprint and promoting renewable energy sources. For instance, BWP has invested in solar power generation facilities that produce clean energy for the community. Additionally, the company offers rebates for customers who install solar panels on their homes or businesses.

Another important aspect of BWP's operations is its focus on customer service. The company understands that providing excellent customer service is crucial to building long-term relationships with its clients. To this end, BWP has launched an online account manager platform that allows customers to manage their accounts from anywhere at any time.

The new online account manager platform offers a range of features designed to make it easier for customers to manage their accounts efficiently. Customers can view their bills, pay them online using various payment options such as credit cards or bank transfers, set up automatic payments or paperless billing options, track their usage history and receive alerts when they exceed certain thresholds.

To access these features, new users need to register on the platform by creating an entirely new account since all previous accounts registered before March 4th were not carried over due to system upgrades.

In addition to these services offered through the online account manager platform, BWP also provides several other programs aimed at helping customers save money on their utility bills while promoting sustainability practices in Burbank.

For example:

- Energy Efficiency Programs: These programs offer rebates for installing energy-efficient appliances such as LED lights or smart thermostats.
- Water Conservation Programs: These programs provide incentives for residents who install water-saving devices such as low-flow showerheads or toilets.
- Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations: As part of its commitment towards sustainable transportation solutions in Burbank city limits; BWP installed EV charging stations throughout town so drivers can charge up quickly without worrying about running out of juice during long trips!

Overall, Burbank Water and Power are dedicated professionals who strive every day towards providing reliable electricity services while keeping costs low without compromising quality standards!
