There are quite a lot of seafood, and there are very few dishes.
I honestly love the food here. One of the first places I went to eat when I arrived in Canada. There isn't anything wrong with the food and it's extremely affordable on weekdays. I might be biased cause I love buffets, but this is a great place in my opinion!
Food at Buffet Fu lam is "not bad" considering it's one of few alternatives to chinese food in Montreal. However, their service is poor. In my experience the staff is not friendly, and also seems to remind me everytime I go that I NEED to leave a tip. And if customers do not leave a "sufficient" tip amount.....they will let you know! Fu lam staff needs to have a little more dignity and respect.....no one likes bad customer service.
bad food, small selection, too much MSG, got me so sick.
The last time i was there the food in general was very average, soggy sushi and mediocre hot foods. It used to be a very good but it declined over the years.
Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Good service but food cold and not enough variety for me.
Love the food!
Great service!
My son and I went to Fu Lam tonight. I was appalled by the slimy filth at this restaurant. The salt shaker, handles of the serving spoons and utensils were slimy and gross. The wall beside are table was splattered with old food. The decor was old and run down. The waiter gave us water, didn't say a word or offer us any other beverages or wine Service until we were ready for the bill after our meal(he offered us coffee). The food was not good at all. My son loves pizza and said it was cold and the worst he's ever tasted. He actually had to spit his chicken wing in a napkin as the meat was pink and bloody. My stomach immediately started to hurt after my plate of food which was not tasty. I'm not a French fry person, but the best things there were the fries and egg rolls (that says a lot). The food is so bad that even the jello was hard. I don't think they have very good cooks or management to know how to keep a restaurant clean and sanitary and prepare fresh edible tasty food. I can't see how people keep coming back. I've been to the old Fu Lam on Des Sources Blvd. and the place was clean and food was fresh. NOT HERE. I wasted $55 on nasty food that made my stomach churn, when I could have went to Baton Rouge and had a wonderful meal at the same rate if not less. I won't be back.
Food tasted bland. Wok was good... Generous with meat and shrimp, but they didn't have the black bean sauce.
You enter to the place a girl will guide you to your table of course you can ask for another one just in case, we went to get the food, oh my lord sweet god we didn t know from where to start , I always like to have soup first like that my stomach get full so I don t eat much , to be honest I get full just from looking the fish so yummy chicken wing are awesome the walk special bar look amazing for me I went after the sushi because I love wasabi a lot, I normally hamburger person but no hamburger in a Chinese buffet the general Tao so cool smoke meat I think over 100 kind of food than the sweet and the fruit bar yummy yummy if you go there don t eat anything before because you have to many things you would love to try
This buffet is super good the tastes are entertained I suggest people to go
Service not very good, but the food is ok. Good choice of food but not always fresh.
It's buffet so.. good at 11am, after that..... Your call. It's a good place to take family visiting.
Way over priced. Glasses and chairs need to be renewed.
A buffet a little expensive for the few choices and quality.
This is the worst buffet I know. I have been of the same name. But that of city has st laurent. Degeux
The tables close to the bar look miserable.
The buffet is cup in a litte corridor. If the restaurant would have been folded frequently it would be difficult to get out of bed. Spent.
There is little choice, it missed a lot of classic pineapple chicken, Chinese maracroni or beef. The chop suey or Chinese rice he had no ganitures kind meats, vegetables kind onion carote chili etc.
There was no sign that indicated what was.
The vegetable salad bar is a hit
The soup won ton the Won Tone were soft and so tasty.
This is a place to discourage.
We were 4, all disappointed.
I advise you instead that pie 9 and jeans heel or boucherville
Passable buffet. Nothing special. The service at the table was perfect. Salted bill on the weekend ($ 22 / adult and $ 11 / child). For an identical menu from Monday to Thursday children is free.
Take our review only.
We order for our employees every so often. The portions are large & all the guys seem happy. So thumbs up!
Very poor choice of food and some were not cook enough. There is no service. The plate where building a tower at the end of the table.
One word: horrible
Only a couple of meat selections. Veggies loaded with MSG. Sorry, beanie Winnie's are not ethnic Chinese cuisine. Overpriced and bad tasting. Better off going to McDonald's across the street or just not eat at all. Why this place was packed with local patrons is baffling.
Always a good turnover of customers, so the food served is of good quality.
Nice food and at reasonable price. Free parking and easy access to the road.
Very bad and expensive! Almost no choice, overheated food, poor service. To flee!
Very varied Asian dishes, fresh and appetizing. Beef, chicken and seafood available in different forms of cooking ... and especially hot. The sides are also very varied. Those who prefer a cold menu will also be able to satisfy their palai. Children would love the gummies in their ice cream for dessert and the elders will be able to feast by consuming healthy fresh fruit. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy. Table service was ok Reservations were made in advance but accommodation was required as the number of people had increased. This was not a problem. The area is very warm, so ideal for many types of family, corporate, social events, etc.
Food was good and table was cleaned each time I went for more food.
Really excellent as a place. The food is very good, the service is courteous and prompt and the place is very clean too. Excellent choice of very varied dishes.
The choice are limited ...cheap on meat and nothing looks appetizing....kitchen staff is rude
Good selection, fresh, fast in and out food. Good price. Easy to get to. Sushi rolls are fresh, attentive staff.
Not great but not bad overall. I come here because my kids like eating chinese noodles and they have a good variety of desserts. Kids also eat free during the week with paying adults which is always good on the wallet. This place is ok... some items are actually pretty good. The worse thing about this place is the guy who works the wok... he is just nasty. He never talks, never smiles and basically throws the food at you once it's ready. Can you believe that he actually has a tip jar...?!!!
Food is just the right temperature, lunch is very worth it at a 12,99$ all-you-can-eat per person. Go for the food on top, most likely fresher. A pretty good variety and mix of Eastern-Western. I've been more than 5 times in a span of a few years, the place is beautiful and menu pretty much doesn't change. Was disappointed in the flavours of ice cream last time (Neapolitan, then buckets of strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla).
I will put 0 if it was possible. During our last visit, the cook responsible for the woks and grills we missed the respect when we asked him to do our orders. He started screaming, insulting us and throwing everything he could under the pretext that he was tired and did not want to work anymore. Despite the fact that I asked him to calm down (I was shocked), it was impossible for me to speak with someone so violent. I went to see the manager and he did not say anything literally. We were ignored as if we were animals without rights. A restaurant that is not serious at all where guests have no rights. It is nonsense.
Best buffet I have had in my life. Very prompt service. Continuous refilling of food items. I feel it is more than worth the price. Remember to tip the very hardworking waiters.
Great wok, small buffet with limited choices, horrible deserts. Staff is good but table clearing may be slow and drink orders take a while to arrive. Questionable and dirty carpet floors.
Ok buffet food is fresh at times ans neglected when at closing hours.
Excellent service, food is good, I love going there with some work collegues at least once a month.
It's nice place to get together but...foods are...depending on what you eat.
Excellent service on delivery fast and Speedy hot food.
This isn't just the worst Chinese food I've ever had, it's some of the worst food of any kind. Sickly sweet sauces, broths that taste like dishwater and noodles that resemble silly string.
Unreasonable hours; got there at 2:45 Sunday afternoon and they refused to add more fresh food citing that supper starts at 4:30, an hour and 45mins later !! Washrooms were also quite filthy . They certainly have an act to clean up. Two thumbs down.
If you love bad food and a very small selection, good choice.
Adding on to my review: Although I do not live around this area, I have tried an additional buffet of the Fu Lam chain and that was also horrific. If you want to have a good buffet experience, don't go to any of the Fu Lam Chains.
My friend likes it but by cons I find his good but not excellent, lacks a little taste in some food, I have already been to the best Buffet ms.
Went on a wednesday evening. OK for the price, nothing special. For once, didn't overeat at an all-you-can-eat buffet mostly because there wasn't really anything that we liked too much. Dropped in quality over the years.
Went for a lunch on Saturday, more spacious
Food is tasty but limited options for spicy foods.
The food is terrible .. please don't waste your money there ... I rather go to Mc Donalds seriously! The only thing that I liked was the fortune cookie and they should google how to cook OH and the water was ok
Not much of a Chinese buffet when you serve hot dogs, onion rings and roast beef. Service is average and sometimes you wait a while before they clear your used plate. Pricey for the type of food served. The one plus is the wok service.
Very tasty, fresh and the staff descreat, efficient and polite. Highly recommanded.
It used to be the best fulam of the west of Montreal , but now it has lost the flavour , , my mom got sick last time she got diarea
, back in the days it used to be hot , I am gonna start going to go to oriental buffet on LA Salle its better food , I don't recommend this place , I hope they change the manager or the cooks ,
This place offers a huge variety of food. They even have chocolate fondue! However, too great a variety doesn't help with quality, which is kinda sad. I tried a little of every kind of meat dishes, all were too dry or overcooked (too hard) except sweet & sour pork. Fried rice too mussy, noodle too salty, banana blackened...
