I've never given 5 stars to anyone, we found the exception. Kevin and Aydin served us beautifully, staff greeted us with happy anniversary wishes. French onion soup was outstanding. Featured salad was gorgeous and delicious. The bone in ribeye for two was phenomenal and done to perfection. Even brought us a dark, triple chocolate mousse to share. Valet parking waiting under needed heat lamps. Best dinner in a long time. Thanks for making our anniversary dinner memorable. And it was a great table, till the table of six with Mrs. Loudmouth disturbed the peace.. Not Chops fault, think it was the two dirty martinis.

Yesterday was my husband and my 10th year Anniversary. The Lobster bar is where he proposed. It was great returning back to where it all started. They even seated us at the very table we got engaged at. The food was great as usual and they sent over a celebratory dessert. Thanks Lobster Bar.
We celebrated our anniversary there last night and were treated like we were the only diners there. We had their delicious Caesar Salad, Center Cut Filet Mignon and half 2-pound Lobster. They surprised us with a delicious dessert topped with ice cream drizzled with chocolate. It was a perfect meal and the service and attention to detail were top notch. We will definitely be going back.
Had a real deal meal. I would cone back for sure I'm from Michigan. And I love steak this place was killer. I did ruths and NY prime while in town chops was the best no joke and I miss atl town looks nicer than ever
Amazing atmosphere, excellent service that's not intrusive, and the best steak I've ever had. 12 oz dry age filet-you don't need a knife...need I say more. 2 bucks for valet parking in Buckhead.
Chops boasts an upscale, steak and lobster fine dining facility. They deliver in all of these areas. Complimentary onsite valet parking makes arrival a breeze. The wait staff and greeters are courteous and professional and well seasoned. Which brings me to the food. The selections are are mouth watering and will fill you up. The vegetables, seafood and steak selections all make every bite is worth the cost. So gents if you're looking to share a romantic evening with your partner, through your blazer and have her slip into some pumps for a night to remember.
Amazing food, lovely ambiance, cheap valet parking, fast service. Bottom level is very very crowded, but there's extra room on the top level. Friendly waiters, and the best quality steak in America (A5 miyazaki wagyu)! You'll need a reservation. They'll also bring you a special complementary dessert if it's your anniversary.
Might be the best $$$$ restaurant you can go to. Also right next to the St. Regis which is convenient. Really great steak and seafood and I was actually surprised it didn't cost more. Got to check out the speakeasy in there and it's really cool too.
We had a lovely dinner at chops tonight for our 26th anniversary. I am so glad they are reopened for dinner. Our server was very solicitous and grateful we were there and we even got a yummy dessert on the house! It will continue to be our favorite for years to come.
The steaks are good, but nowhere near Atlanta's best. The lobster is fresh and always worth ordering. The setting is more for loud business people than it is for upscale fine dining.
Chose this place for a surprise birthday dinner and WOW, I am patiently waiting until I can get back to Atlanta to get one of those steaks with a great wine pairing. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection, the waitresses made sure my glass stayed full, everyone was so hospitable and the atmosphere was perfect. They are on the pricey side but it was worth every penny.
Most amazing seafood meal. I had the seafood trio. I substituted the Salmon for Sea Bass. The combo was crab cake, lobster tail and sea bass...AMAZING. will definitely go back again and again.
I really enjoy myself at Chops. Very elegant great service friendly waiters. Beautiful just all around. Food was great as well. It's a a la carte restaurant.
Traditional dark wood decor. Calamari and tuna tartar apps were average as was the Caesar salad. The bread basket and Lobster Bisque were amazing as was the Ribeye and Whole Lobster. Asparagus side was perfectly steamed. We had two servers that were polite and prompt. Water glass was never more than 1/2 empty. The banana cream pie was huge and the perfect ending to a delicious dinner. Pricey but worth it. Can't wait to visit again.
The staff was nice, the prices were as to be expected, the sides and appetizers were amazing! But there were two main points that failed. The drinks were not mixed well, I had 3. The white Russian was more of a vodka milkshake - Although I appreciate a heavy hand on my drinks, I came for a tasting experience and this was more of a college bar type of mix. Same went for the long island. The third drink was called a peach tree peach.. it was much better than the others.
The most disappointing thing after all of the foods we tasted was not the rubber with raisins (raisin bread), It was the highly salted piece of over cooked cardboard they served me as a NY strip. I didn't eat half of it. I ordered it medium and it came charred.
We were with a group and I didnt want to waste time sending it back. That being said, we tasted and tried all of the following and were happy with them. The spinach dish was amazing. It was a lot like a spinach artichoke dish, but good to taste a little. The asparagus was cooked perfectly! Sauteed mushrooms were also perfect. Crab cakes were decent, resembled a bit of a creamy tuna cake... all of the mixings were good but it was still lacking a little something that said crab. lobster tail both fried and grilled was wonderful! The mac and cheese was shockingly delicious! Calamari was great with a interesting twist, it was like a tempura batter with a sweet pepper sauce, very nice.
Overall I would have given this a higher rating but the two staples were failed. The steak I had been looking forward to was such a disappointment I believe it ended my appetite to return.
I definitely don t recommend this place. Me and my boyfriend were treated terribly by the host and our waiter, Brenam. I ve been in this country for 25 years and my boyfriend 30 and I can t remember the last time I felt so discriminated against. The host made me feel like I was some bum walking in from the street and refused to get us a table. When we found a seat at the bar, Brenam tried to get us to move so that the couple who walked in after us could sit there instead. I had to turn my shirt inside out just to be able to even stay at the restaurant because according to the waiter, this as he gestured to my top with his hands...isn t allowed. I can understand that there is a dress code but there is a way to go about telling someone without being rude. I was not dressed inappropriately and the only thing that was wrong with my top was that there was lettering on it.
The steak, sides, and service are great! The host/MD really attends to your needs and cares about your experience. The restaurant needs some updating- the bathroom is in need of repairs and the decor is stale vs retro posh.
Worst experience for $180 spend in my life. Wayne, my bartender, could care less about my existence unless I called for him, did not serve me complementary bread, had no idea about the wine list, and I felt like I was waiting on him more than him waiting on me. Terrible experience, food was average, and the hostess out of all of the Chop Staff gave me the best service I had the entire night. If I was chop house, I would focus more on the little people, than the oligarch that march through your door.
Food: marvelous. Stakes are as good, if not better, than what I had at Bone's. Bread pudding is also my gf's Favorite dessert. service: warm and nice. The waiter can read my mind. price: reasonable atmosphere: very fancy and a little bit formal than Bone's.
The bar upstairs is top shelf! Then dinner downstairs had a cool vibe of being underground. Please try the black truffle butter on any steak you order. It's AMAZING.
I had surf n turf, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and a martini. Spent $113. The food tastes amazing and their customer service was pretty good too. Nice upscale atmosphere.
One of the freshest and juiciest surf n turf due South of the Mason-dixon line! The atmosphere is suitable for a nice romantic evening for two as well as a comfortable for family meal together. Everything was great and the only way it would have been even better is if it were able to have been on a sailboat during a sunset. Excellent service and very friendly and welcoming staff! Definitely recommend and will return for years to come!
When you want authentic crab cake this is the place to go cream potato with lobster tails makes you feel like a princess my daughter and I usually go every few months it's so upscale.
Located on the top floor the Chops Lobster bar reminds me of a classic steakhouse whose specialty is seafood. It's one of the best seafood restaurants in Atlanta.
I ve been an Atlanta native all my life but tonight was my first experience at Chops, from the moment i walked in the door the hospitality was 1000%! My waiter KEVIN was one of the nicest people I ve ever met in my life! He recommended extremely great entrees & made sure i had everything i needed to make my experience perfect! This place is definitely a hidden gem in Atlanta! Everybody should experience Chops & most of all KEVIN!
I think I am the 1,000 reviewer! Well, let me take the opportunity to report that Chops/Lobster Bar is one of the finest restaurants not only in Atlanta, but the entire US - I don't care what anyone would argue. My personal favorite us the downstairs Lobster Bar and flash fried lobster tail appetizer. When you go, note the tile on the ceiling - very retro cool.
I recently hosted a seminar at the St. Regis Atlanta and after we brought 35 guests to Chops for dinner. The staff exceeded our expectations. First class service all the way. Everyone in our party had a great time. The filet was exceptional per usual. Chops has a well deserved reputation. Highly recommend if you've never been.
Absolutely the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. If you want first class food and service then come to Chops. I ate the A-5 Wagyu fillet and it is the best steak available at any restaurant. Every course is prepared exquisitely and to perfection.
When eating here, ask for Dan. Dan is top notch in his service and will ensure you are satisfied. He made the experience for my wife and I and we are eternally grateful.
Fancy place, but the kitchen is disgusting and disgraceful, rlpre packaged steak sitting out at room temperature, and the smell is awful the kitchen is not been detailed since the 70s
This place has amazing steak and lobster. I actually ordered the Mahi mahi and it was the best I've ever had. We all shared bites of each other's food so I got to sample a little bit of everything and you absolutely cannot go wrong no matter what you order on the menu. Very expensive so I'd save this place for a special occasion
