This church is a beacon for how to run an organization that is detailed oriented, thoughtful, generous and warm (for a church of that size). Andy knows how to preach without being preachy and maintains relatability in spite of his vast personal and professional successes. My family is new to the area and, after a local tour of Christian churches, there really is no comparison.

My only issue with BC is that it's a very big church and it can be hard to connect with people. We haven't done life groups, but everyone tells us that that's the way to truly connect.

Their kids service is like nothing I've seen before. We knew we had a winner when our 3 year old told us he wanted to go to Wamba Land!

I was VERY impressed by this place. Happy and helpful people that were doing all they could to serve God. I was disappointed to see that the pastor wasn't live - but live-cast to something like 45 locations weekly. It just felt weird to me. That aside the place was amazing - from the kids ministries jto the praise.

I've attending "Buckhead Church " for about 5 years. They make it a point to connect you with others, and you are sure to feel welcomed by all you come in contact with here.

Andy Stanley and the rest of the staff do a SUPERB Job making a LARGE Church feel small.

I didn't know what to expect, but what Jaim (Jayme?) said in the teaching has stuck with me all week; it just keeps rattling around in there in all the best ways. The building was beautiful, laid out in a totally fresh way (like no other church I've seen before), the people were friendly and helpful, and it seemed like every seat in the house was a good one. The excellence of the musicians was off the charts - the teaching was called 'Out of the Shallows' and the band performed Shallows song from a Star is Born and KILLED IT. I only skipped 1 star on thus review because the parking was fairly difficult to navigate. They had done their best with signage and staff, but as an out of towner I still found myself lost and u-turning several times. But perhaps that's not an issue for locals. Regardless, totally worth the struggles I had getting in the door

Social justice disguised as Christianity. They are great at serving the community, but they are so entrenched in pop culture they spend all their time telling lost people that they're just fine as they are. They avoid confronting people with the gospel and the call to repentance. Sadly, this church is full of members completely ignorant about the Bible or salvation itself. If you're looking for a Savior, you will not find Him at BCC.

I found this church by typing the words multicultural churches in Atlanta and that my friend is very true. I have been attending Buckhead church for the last 4 years and I have to say it is very refreshing to go to a place of worship and see all of God s children worshiping together. The staff and volunteers are amazing and I truly love all the activities. I have participated and volunteered for a number of the church functions and I can truly say without any hesitation the organization and love for God is evident. Hands down my favorite thing about this church are the funny videos they play they are hilarious. If you ever been to the church and saw the video skits they play before a new series, or before church they are the best. This church lives up to this slogan, we are a church for people who don t like church . You get in and out in a one hour and fifth teen minutes, there is no dress code enforced, and all the greeters are so helpful and nice. My only complaint is that the sermons are some time very basic, so you will not get as the older church folks like to say, Meat and Potatoes !

Best church I've ever been a part of. Andy Stanley is the best pastor I've had the pleasure of witnessing his ministry. Their mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Christ. They do this by creating unique environments that foster relationships. They are big on sharing practical lessons that you can easily understand how to implement in your life. The church tries it's best to get people out of rows and into circles. Small groups contain individuals similar to yourself going through similar life experiences. If you are involved in Buckhead Church and it'll make you a better person and make you better at life.

We love buck head church! This place was recommended to us by friends when we moved here and we fell in the love the atmosphere. The kids Progrom are awesome too! There is a plus for all children so adults can enjoy the service! I highly recommend this church!

If you re looking for a non-denominational church that understand the modern lifestyle and beer stand you, then come here. The leaders are genuine and real, they live in 2019 not in 300 A.D. Their messages are well thought-out and focus on the events in Jesus life and not on the dogma and doctrines of religion. This branch of the church in particular has an entire team of volunteers just to greet you and make sure you feel welcomed and can find a seat. The music here is also phenomenal and they bring in top quality musicians and singers every Sunday. Check out the photos below for an idea. They also provide child care and Sunday school classes all the way up to high school ages.

I always leave feeling better then when I came. I get a little clarity on issues I am facing in life. I feel safe and not judged while worshipping, contemplating, and relinquishing the negative energy weighing me down.

This is by far the best church I've been to. We love the preschool environment for our 1 year old and the services are excellent - great music and teaching. After deciding to start volunteering and joining a small group, the church has began to feel much smaller and more personal for us. I can't say enough good things about this place and what it has done for me personally and for my family.

I am not a member here, but i have been to a few of their singles events and I really enjoyed the nuggets of information. This was also a friendly environment. There were alot of people at the singles event, so parking to leave was a little much-but it was worth it.

The parking is very organized and the helpers are very kind; just the way church helpers should be. Andy's sermon was good as always. I think my ear drums might still be ringing from the excellent praise music (it is a bit too loud).

I lost all respect for this church when a good friend of mine who was a committed member went to the church for help during a crisis and they wouldn't help her. Treated her like a stranger. This is why a lot of people don't believe in the church anymore. I know a young man who works there too who says this church helps who they want to help, if you know what I mean. Though they claim to care about the community and people of all races. Don't be fooled.

I ve been attending BC for almost 5 years now. I love it and my favourite is The Living Room for College students on Monday nights. The main service however I think could be a bit more diverse. It s a totally different environment on Monday nights than on Sundays. I love their Sunday school and I actually volunteer there. It s a good place to attend when you are building your faith. Pastor Andy Stanley I mean is usually on point with his preaching.

Love it!! Really an amazing place to build and or rebuild Faith. Eliminates all the rhetoric and sticks with the basis. Everyone has a place here. No judgement. Exceptional experience in every way.

I have been going to Buckhead church for over 7 years and it has been such an important part of my life and somewhere I feel comfortable and a church I feel proud of and passionate about. I love the children's environments for my kids as we have added to out family over the years and have participated in small groups along with my husband and separate. We also went through Starting Point which is a great place to start if you're new to faith or have questions. Love my church and all the positive things they do for Atlanta and for my family.

I went religiously (pun intended) before covid and although I have been a little slack on the online classes- I still enjoy the fact that they are available to watch. Many other churches don t have an online platform and I applaud this church for stating current and relevant. And while the church has a large following - I think it still has a personal touch with all of the small group offerings. So you sort of have an intimate touch with the resources of a large church! Come see for yourself!

This is a place that everybody should visit at least once, they have this unique and incredible ability to make the church experience being extremely pleasant. It's a fancy place that consistently deliver ab empowerment message.

Edit: Was going here for a while but decided to go to another church because the traffic situation is too much...so beware if you decide to drive here. One Sunday I literally sat on the Lenox Rd off ramp for 20 min.

Visited here for the first time during the 11 o'clock service a few weeks ago and really liked it. Found out there is an open-air parking lot (besides the parking deck) that is further down the road which I liked to park in much better and is easier to get in-and-out from. It can be disorienting finding your way to the main sanctuary as a visitor, but there are plenty of staff who are very friendly and will help you direct you to where you're trying to go. Pastor is Andy Stanley (son of world-famous Pastor Charles Stanley of First Baptist Atlanta) and his message that day was good and resonated with me. It's a contemporary worship service for sure which is definitely my thing, but may not be for everyone.

I went to this church once because my girlfriend kept encouraging me to go, but I didn't appreciate what Andy Stanley had to say....

When Mr. Stanley first came on stage, he talked about a class they were having and encouraged people to check it out and register at the information table in the lobby. He said, "If you're nervous or afraid, just give them a fake name or tell them you're there for someone else," and then he laughed. On the one hand, you could say he was joking, but on the other hand, I think he was sort-of serious. Either way, I didn't think it was funny that the Head Minister of this church was encouraging people to lie - even if he was half-joking.

The experience gave me the impression that Mr. Stanley was revealing an aspect of his personality by telling the congregation, "It's ok to lie if you're nervous and it makes things easier." Personally, I think that lying is wimpy and it's a sign of poor character. A lot of people in our society think it's ok to lie if it suits your needs, but I disagree! People with good character tell the truth, even when they're feeling uncomfortable. Sorry, but I'm not going to be a member of a church who's leader is a wimp!

This place was awesome. I had a little trouble navigating the parking, but that might just be because I'm not a local. once I found my parking space, the signage to help me into the building was spot-on. The customer service that we met along the pathway was awesome. The vibe inside the church itself was terrific. I really love the service! The speakers approach to the topic, the tone of the whole presentation, and ultimately the point of the teaching was really practical and inspiring. And the band's execution of the song from A Star is Born gave me chicken skin. We wondered a little through the children's areas in her mind was blown by the creativity and fresh thinking found there! I'm not local, but if I were, this is a place I would come to over and over again!

One of the worst churches in America. It may make you feel good as many reviewers have said. It's positive and uplifting and doesn't make them feel uncomfortable. Well, the reason it doesn't make them feel uncomfortable is because Stanley isn't teaching about the God of the Bible. In fact, he demeans and diminishes the Bible. Even says it's not necessary to believe it in order to be a Christian (it is). So the reason people feel so comfortable there is because they're not confronted with the stark reality of their sins before a Holy and righteous God.

That's what makes people feel uncomfortable in church. And that's what we need to hear. We need to be a little uncomfortable because the truth of our spiritual situation without Christ is dire!

When you think of non-denominational churches, you should look here. I'm not a heavy church-goer, but when I am, this is the place. Very nontraditional in nature, they encourage you to come as is, wear what you'd like to, and stay for the great music. Their head pastor, Andy Stanley, has a way of conveying old, and sometimes difficult, scripture into consumable and relevant information. Parking is a mess in the morning, but they do the best they can for where it's located. Lovely church!

Came in on a weekday just because the building looked interesting and I was on break from school - I was kicked out by security simply for existing in a space in which, apparently, not all people are welcome. As a result, I have reconsidered converting to your dumb religion and no longer think the building is interesting or pretty

Andy Stanley's teaching may be detailed and serve a purpose if you can get passed the rudeness of the people at the church. Greeters say hello and that's the most interaction you receive as a guest. The pastor speaks about acceptance but the church feels cold and does not appear to accept real life diversity. With the exception of broader discussions, and prayers for Charlottesville for example. Real life. Real people. This team sucks. and Fails miserably. Today I went to the 1 pm service kicking off Guardrails. I could not even go in for the empty feeling that came over me. I just did not want to feel alone in a big church. I feel like I am just there and you go a little numb because it is kinda a lonely feeling in church. I expect this at work, general social settings but these people just bump into like you are not there, or look you in the face and ignore you. I signed up for a Singles class outdoor activity this Summer talk about a clique. It was like being back in high school. Needless to say I did not meet a single significant contact. Chris G and team were just putting together outings and between all the movements facilitation of connection was absent. I was going to Dawsonville to Amicalola falls and I could not even find the group. And that's a long way away. Given there was so many places in Atlanta vicinity I have no idea why 1.5 hours drive was needed. Connecting with people in this church has been difficult and I think I will have to let this go. I am giving the women's group a shot but we shall see. Hopefully it is not a bunch of unfriendly people.

Never was much of a "church" guy until my wife asked me to try it just once. Now, 3 years later, I'm more involved at Buckhead Church than I have been almost anywhere. It's more than a church, it's a community.

I ve been attending BC for almost ten years. This church is so organized. The sermons are easy to understand and apply to life. The church is huge, but the small groups are phenomenal. I ve met several friends through my small groups. Service is always one hour exactly 60 minutes; very rarely will it last to 65 minutes. The children s programming is phenomenal, which is the reason we initially started going. I ve donated to and served the Atlanta community through the organized programs the church offers. Buckhead Church actually helps make Atlanta a better place through its charitable outreach. I plan to do an international mission soon, because those seem well planned and impactful too.

My family and I went to Buckhead Church for about four years. The church had well delivered and practical messages, captivating worship, and the best children's ministry I've seen. Our daughters were always excited to attend Waumba Land. Overall, excellent experience here!

I love the music here and the messages are always fantastic. I also love that the church is very active around the city and in its communities. Andy Stanley is a very gifted preacher; he is great at making God's word accessible, understandable, and applicable to modern life.

This church is awesome. I couldnt be more or less happy. I realize that I was holding a offense that i buried away deep in me. And its done some damage to my spirit and relationship with others. But the wisdom I receive is amazing. Im a usual shy person. But i trully apologize for ever bad mouthing any church. Im just glad to have a church to turn too. Being away makes you really appreciate being fed the gospel. And i hope to grow and strengthen myself. I see now how valuable it is to have a spiritual home in my life. And how empty it feels to be away. May God continue to bless there ministry. Seriously. I grateful.

I've been going to Buckhead Church for a while. For the people who are thinking about church, this is the place for you. I moved to the area about three years ago and really got away from going to church. Andy Stanley really brings it home for believers and nonbelievers. I'm not some paid guy they told to write this review, I'm real. I just want you to know, if you are looking to reconnect or rediscover Buckhead Church is the place for you.

They love people like Jesus did. Solid and practical messages are taught. I have a seminary background and still am challenged...just now with more relevant messages. The deeper growth in theology in cultivated in small groups.

I'm currently going through a crisis in life. I went in between the 900-1100 services to talk with someone. I met with someone that was available around 1000 at Woodstock and the next week, I was able to speak with someone for the week.
These folks are truly good people. A visitor here would meet smiling and kind folks. They were non judgemental and willing to pray with me.
There is an obvious blessing on them. The church has grown a significant amount since it was first opened years ago. The great part is that these have been the group that will be teaching and raising the teachers for the future growth. There is a calm and serenity inside the building but never felt rushed or anxious. I never once got the hint that it was time for me to move. They prayed for me and it felt like God heard it. I know that it is why they are here but both weeks I could tell that they wanted me to have a break thru in my life's circumstances and felt like they were genuine wanting me to deepen my dedication to Jesus.
Thank you Andy. Thank you to the folks that prayed with me and I will keep looking to you, Lord, for my answers.
In Christ's name I pray,
Kevin

I've been going since August 2008. Uplifting Enlightening Services. Buckhead Church appeals to avid church goers and occasional attenders equally well. Buckhead Church was built around the idea of a church for non church people. Mission: To Lead People into A Growing Relationship with Jesus Christ. Christian music that uplifts you and sermons that teach you not preach at you.
