Inquired about a Barletta boat for sale. The salesman told me I couldn't buy it because I lived in a different region and would have to buy a Barletta through my local Barletta dealer and couldn't buy from them due to area restrictions. The regional representative from Barletta (Scott) advised that this is absolutely not true and that they can and should absolutely sell me the boat if I wanted to buy it.
My guess is they knew I would be taking the boat out of their direct area and they didn't think they would get my future business with care and maintenance so they blatantly made this up so they could sell to a local buyer and make more money off of them in the future.
Bad business practice and I found the same boat (with more options and a bigger motor) for cheaper anyway, so I'm glad their bad business practices worked out for me.
Buckeye is an awesome shop. Great staff, great prices, and great service. James did an incredible job mounting up my daughters skis. 10/10 would recommend this shop.

Just recently had a fantastic experience at this store. Connor was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and spent hours helping us pick out the right equipment and fitting our ski boots. We had a large group of people buying ski equipment for the first time and the staff was very patient and helpful. We have shopped there in the past multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The prices are affordable and staff is patient and caring. Highly recommend.

I recently got back into skiing. My boots were 25 years old and their technology was older than that. I planned to get new boots this upcoming summer and really take my time finding the boot that I wanted. Last Friday, my old boot snapped in half. So instead of being able to take my time, I needed to buy boots immediately. I was pretty uncomfortable with that, but Scott at Buckeye had a TON of knowledge and made me feel much better about the purchase. He asked about how I ski and what I liked about my old boots and from there, he grabbed three boots for me to try and we went back and forth through them until we made the decision. Technica Cochise 120s. Skied them on Saturday and it was amazing what a difference they made to my turns.

I've purchased a few PWCs from the folks at Buckeye Sports Center in the past, and just recently picked up a trailer from them. I've also done a bit of parts business, and pick up maintenance items fr them.
To be entirely honest, they've never been able to be the "lowest price" I could find on my products, but they always do as much as they can to get as close as possible. For example, on the trailer I just purchased, they were able to get within $25 of a price leader that's an hour and a half drive from me.
However, despite not being the "cheapest", they've always gone above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Where the price leader told me they could have my trailer ready by the end of the week, Buckeye Sports Center had it to me within hours, and they even offered to set up bunks and winch for my craft if I wanted (which I declined since I have to transfer the craft from one trailer to another).
Communication was excellent, as is the entire sales staff there. In my case, Steve helped me out, and even though he was with a customer when I arrived, he made sure to excuse himself to say hello to me, make a little small talk, and ensure the trailer and paperwork were all in proper order before I left. It was a brief but rewarding interaction.
It's nice to have a competent and helpful dealer nearby. If you're from the greater Akron area, this should be your stop for marine needs!

She also knows a bunch about the different snowboards and technologies. Would definitely go back and have her help me with anything I need!

Jim Czerwien went through a couple of boat brands with me and the pros and cons of each boat very honest salesman (those are rare) worked with me for a couple of weeks with two different boats till I figured out which boat I wanted. Transaction went smoothly, the delivery of the boat to the lake to go over the entire boat inside and out even the trailer. I felt very educated in my purchase and love the boat. Steve helped our family pick out a great surf boat (Axis A22) at the Cleveland Boat Show this past winter. We ve really enjoyed surfing, wakeboarding, and tubing on it at Lake Mohawk this summer! After visiting several boat dealers in my area looking for a specific
new boat, I decided to look elsewhere for a dealer that had the boat
I wanted. After reading positive reviews of Buckeye Sports Center
and the BBB, I contacted Steve at Buckeye and he told me they had
a boat coming in that was exactly what I wanted. After several go
arounds on pricing and add-on's, I decided to purchase my Yamaha
FSH from BSC, in large part due to how Steve treated me and how
knowledgeable he was. I also liked that Buckeye was a family owned
business. As I was out-of-state, I successfully communicated with
Steve via phone, text messages and/or US mail. Steve was always
prompt in getting back to me. I also liked his sense of humor.
The first time I met Steve in person was when I picked up my new
Yamaha FSH. He introduced me to Pete who went over the boat with me,
Zack who had helped me out with various technical issues like transducer placement and other members of the Buckeye team who put on my registration decal, trailer license and boat cover. The whole Buckeye team is top notch in my book. They bent over backwards to assure that I would be happy with my new boat. They even topped off the gas tank on my new boat.
Being out-of-state, I was a bit apprehensive about how this transaction would go down, but I can tell you that this transaction was one of the best and smoothest experiences I've ever had in my life. I highly recommend you check out Buckeye Sports Center for your new boat.

Thanks for tracking down my original receipt and the suggestion to reach out to the jacket company. Helly Hansen was really helpful and gave me credit to purchase a new one. Marilyn made multiple phone calls to me and even made a follow call to make sure I received the receipt via email. Great customer service. Your kindness is contagious!

Was told that my Marker bindings were too old to adjust for different boots. Discovered online how to adjust bindings myself! Thanks for saving me some money! The builtin obsolescence the Marker manufacturer is promoting backfired, because I discovered I don't need to pay a ski tech to do what I can do with a screwdriver and some online instructions.

Disappointed to say the least. Found the exact boat I've been looking for locally. Was upset by the policies in place at the dealership. I wanted to buy a $25,000 boat that's 8 years old. The salesman didn't really seem all that interested in passing along information to me and he wasn't too familiar with the brand. I asked if I could put a deposit down and take it to a local lake to make sure it runs well. He said they don't do that. I then asked if I could put a deposit down and he said it's non refundable. So even if I brought a mechanic to inspect boat and he said it's not worth the price I wouldn't be able to get my money back. Was so turned off by the buying process that I walked away. I understand people are buying boats fast due to COVID but I didn't feel comfortable with the policies in place.
First time there. The place is going thru some updating, but it was still easy to get in and out of. Anthony was super friendly and showed us the whole store and what they have to offer.

Went to buckeyes to look for outdoor gear to go along with the kayaks my wife was looking at and the sales assistant Joey Melchiori really helped us out. The staff here really know a lot about skiing and equipment. I've had my used equiptment maintained here. They have answered tons of questions and they are very knowledgeable. I have mixed reviews though about boots, so I don't know how to rate that. My ski boots were causing me grief and foot numbness. Someone told me to visit a bootfitter. So I went to see theirs. I told him about the numbness and he said I wasn't putting boots on the right way (I was pulling up on the tongue to avoid the numbness I was experiencing, which was the opposite of what I needed to do). He showed me a better way to put on my boots (and I didn't even buy them there). He also sold me inserts. Yes, this did greatly help, but I was still having the numbness. I was planning to visit to get new boots because I think the boots are the issue (he told me they were a little big). I ran into another lady my age having the exact same problem. She said she decided to shell out $350 there for new boots because of numbness and the new boots were doing the same thing. So now I'm a little hesitant to buy boots there given the specific issues I'm experiencing. I will say the bootfitter does seem really knowledgeable about boots being the most important part of your equiptment. They seem more the type of fitter to sell you boots or inserts, but not to do actual work on your boots like some do to ease problems.
Got boots fitted to perfection and some fantastic advice from the employee Zach! Very knowledgable and loves snow sports just as much as I do! Would recommend to anyone of all levels in snowboarding/skiing!! Quality products. Will not be disappointed.

I had a great first impression with staff at the Boston Mills Ski Resort. Impressions at the actual store on State Road was "okay." Lots of younger kids working there who aren't super friendly with customers. Selection of ski equipment is really top notch though!

My family purchased a new boat from here almost a year ago. It was an amazing buying experience. Salesman and delivery were awesome. Customer service stopped there. I took it it in for initial oil change and to have a depth finder installed. They said it would be a week and gave me an estimate. 2 weeks went by and never got a call. I called and they didn't even know the boat was there and didn't have the work order. After another week I picked it up. I had a broken leg and nobody even offered to help me find the boat and hook it up. I had to shoehorn it out of there manually with a broken leg. The bill was almost 200$ more than the quote and nobody was even available in service. I got it home and there was fiberglass shavings all over the boat from them drilling holes. The carpets weren't snapped down and the seat wasn't attached. We took it on the water the first time and the depth finder didn't work. It was completely wired wrong and the transducer wasn't even hooked up. When I was in there also they flock to people that appear to have more money even though we purchased a brand new boat there last year. Not the best experience.
Madeline was terrific! She took her time helping us find the exact pair of snow boarding boots for my 11 year old daughter. She kept searching in the back stockroom until we found the perfect pair that fit in our price range. She was great & I couldn't be more pleased with our customer service experience! Just picked up a new Hobie Pro Angler this afternoon. Andrew was very helpful through the whole process. I am the type of person that tends to overthink things but Andrew never pressured me or showed the least bit of frustration. He set up a demo on the pond and spent at least 3 or 4 hours stepping me through the purchase. Even if I find out this isn t the boat for me I m still thankful to Andrew and all the friendly and helpful people I met at Buckeye Sports Center for making this a great experience.

Iv'e looked around for a quality Boat Dealership to service my outboard motors for years... After having some bad experiences with several.. I found Buckeye Sports Center. They are most trustworthy and experienced i have ever come across. From simple questions over the phone to their full service certified mechanics..their customer service is beyond what i expected. My mercury outboards have been running flawless ever since. I will never waste my money anywhere else.

Selection on boots and bindings for snow boards is pretty weak, ski boot selection was fair but still not real good. Moderate selection of skis and the pricing of items is higher than other vendors I have shopped. Pretty good selection on clothing, fair pricing. Overall, I was not real impressed with the store as a whole. I have shopped here before many times and feel they have reduced the inventory and name brand items, it is getting that "Cheap Store" feeling instead of quality and variety.
