Not the cleanest place to work at but it is a foundry haha, pay is decent but don't expect a raise, the hours are long.

This company is a joke. My fiance recently worked here. They laid him off for a month. Told him to get his mental health better. So he tried going back after a month, he goes in and his boss told him he was glad to have him back. Told him he just had to re do an application. After he hands in the application he gets a voicemail from Sarah an HR lady saying he couldnt come back for 6 months to a year. Completely screwed him over. A friend of mine also worked here for 2.5 years. He was never shown proper procedure with lock out tag out. And they fired him. Told him to call back in a year and when he did they told him they didn't want him. They also show major favoritism. There would be people getting away with disappearing to the bathroom for hours and never get confronted.

Buck Iron is great. To the lady complaining about whoever getting fired or not rehired, whatever it was, youre taught all about lock out tag out before you even set foot into any part of the foundry. So yeah, dont believe your little rant. And to the guy saying they have inferior castings, hahaha, what are you even talking about!? I work there, theyre great. And as far as how employees are treated, youre given the same amount of respect as what you show the company. You show up everyday that youre scheduled, do your job without fuss, right and finished, and Buck Iron(Dixon Valve) will take great care of you. Its not the companys fault that you or your friend or whoever youre whining about qas a lousy employee. Maybe if they wouldve showed up, kept their mouth shut and done the job they were hired to, theyd still be working there today. I am more than glad to call myself an employee of Buck Iron(Dixon Valve), and will be there until the day I cannot work any longer. To you reviewers who seem to just hate the company for whatever made up reason you have, oh well. We(Buck Iron employees) will just keep on working, keep on making great money, keep on making great castings, for a great company.
