Very comfortable seating and incredibly nice staff. I will say that depending on the show you go to depends on how great the experience will be. The actual auditorium was very nice though. Slightly smaller than expected.

Walked by a dozen times. Had a dim view of what might possibly transpire inside. How foolish. It's a delight. Intimate setting showcasing extremely talented, professional artists that (when I was there) absolutely bounced the house! Beer and wine was observed. Regret I waited so long to check it out!

I enjoy having a local theater for movies. It's just very seldom something really good is showing. There were religious movies for many weeks in a row, one shown many times. Now an animated movie. So will be 2 months without a regular action/drama/comedy movie. It would be great to expand the building for 2 movies if possible or new location. And a fountain soda machine would be greatly appreciated.

Just spent weekend and saw Nunsense. Perhaps it was where we were sitting, but we were unable to understand most of what was being said onstage. When singing, the instrumentals drowned out the voices. It was a shame because I love the atmosphere of the theater. Just makes for a long 2 hrs when trying to understand everything being said.

The Brown County Playhouse is like Dr. Who's Tardis. It's much bigger on the inside! I kid you, not. The entrance is this tiny little building on the main drag, but the actual theatre is quite large and very nice! We saw Eunan McIntyre from Ireland perform, along with several others. This show was a real treat!

The 4 Dimensions (Rock, Pop, R&B and Country) from the 50s, 60, 70s, and 80s was truly awesome. I totally enjoyed each of the performers and what they brought to the style of music they were singing. Look forward to more performances.

Great little gem in down town Nashville. They have a wide variety of performances and even show movies. Check their web site for what's available. They also have a small consession with wine. Buy tickets online or at location. This is a small intimate theater so buy tickets ahead of time or call to make sure the event is not sold out.

The Worst Experience I Have Ever had! I was told that my tickets were double printed...so they gave my tickets to someone else! While I was told they were getting a manager, the manager was trying to find us seats. Mean while other people went in. I could not sit with my friends I came with. I asked for my money back and was told no, the manager that told me that they were getting a manager, said she was doing the best she could...not good enough! DO NOT USE WILLCALL!
Will not ever return, worst experience ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would give a 0star, but wasn't an option!

We received tickets as a gift for he Barney Fife Fully Loaded show at the Brown County Playhouse. We left very early into the show after several border crosser , foreigner , distasteful remarks. If this type of material was a part of the original Andy Griffith television series, we could understand it would also be included in a comedic act, which we would never choose to watch. However, it is not. Therefore, we did not expect it to be included in the show and found it very offensive. The poor comedic attempt was a cover to spew racial slurs. While the statements may not be the expressed opinions of the Brown County Playhouse, the venue was used as a platform to speak hate toward a particular people group. As the saying goes, there is truth in jest.

I walked by this establishment today, and asked the man working if the concession stand was open to the public (those that are not opting to view the show) he responded rudely, dismissively and was terribly condescending. I have always wanted to see a show in this venue, however after this experience, I will never attend one. I have told the entire group of people that journeyed with me to Nashville today to not go to this establishment. If this is the type of employees they hire, or if the owner behaves in this manner, I am left puzzled as to how anyone could enjoy a moment in their presence. I will be sure to walk quickly by this venue my next time in Nashville, as the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I give my experience with the staff today "two thumbs down!" --
