Brookdale Senior Living Solutions Review

Visitors! When you come for a tour of this facility you may not see the most outstanding feature -- the high morale of the managerial team and the busy-as-bees staff. Some of this, of course, comes from the top down, but mostly it is inherent among the employees because each job, it seems to me as a Resident of some years, is considered "equally" important in making the facility a rewarding one for the Residents. Now, what you WILL SEE upon arrival here is the very well-kept landscaping and entrance flowers which almost actually say "Welcome!". Hidden from sight is the rear grounds which you can enjoy, if you are ambulatory, by way of a fine pathway which is useable even in winter. When you tour the interior, such as the Living Room, Dining Room, and hallways, you will observe that Brookdale-Paramus goes to great length to keep the premises CLEAN and well-lighted. I can't spend too much time evaluating the workers, but I must mention the high professionalism of the Nurses here who have a heavy responsibility, perhaps the most essential function among the many functions to manage well here at a large facility. Now, one element of importance is FOOD!! Well, Brookdale-Paramus has a full-time Dining Director and once-a-week he holds a Menu Chat where concerned residents can first make criticisms where cooking or service is concerned and second suggest meals that they would enjoy, budget permitting, in the future...... In conclusion, I will mention a small example of how Brookdale-Paramus considers no job too small to be well-done. I happen to be very demanding in (only) one respect and that I LOVE my laundry to be neatly folded! And so it is! Any new resident will find that this facility pays attention to special requests or demands. The staff, top to bottom, will attempt to make your loved one happy, perhaps as happy as I am.....Regards, CC

Treat your loved one/s with good care and respect. EMERITUS is a cosmetic farce. They'll perform and show you what they want you to see in order to gain your trust when you stop in for a feel for the place. IF you choose to use Emeritus home (in Paramus NJ) for your loved one, you are NOT making a sound choice but perhaps a desperate or hasty one! Grandmother's necklace was stolen within the 1st day she was there. Her rings were still on though, and luckily my mother took her out of there before they were stolen too, and MOST IMPORTANTLY before she was hurt or neglected further than she was. Also, they didn't give water to her. Drinking water makes you pee, and if the residents don't pee as often they won't have to change as many diapers. So, grandmother got dehydrated. Glad she was taken out of there within the first week. Hopefully you will investigate further and find a better establishment.

I have worked for Brookdale for 9 years and I consider myself so lucky to be working at our Paramus community. We have great, caring staff who continue to go above and beyond to ensure our residents are taken care of in the best way possible. The food is delicious, the programs are fun, the property is beautiful, and we have the best residents ever. Choosing a senior living community is not easy, so please, come by and see what we are all about. I would love to meet you.

Not a good place to work, directors , hr management dont care for safety of seniors and not military friendly.

My mother entered Brookdale in their memory care unit in February - about 10 days before they were locked down for COVID. They have done everything possible to keep my mother safe, well-fed, healthy, entertained, and connected with her friends and family despite the isolation. I couldn't have made a better choice!

My Mom will be "celebrating" her second anniversary as a resident of Brookdale Paramus this Saturday 3/17/18. While I was impressed with everyone I met from Brookdale during my interview while I was considering having her live there, it turns out that her life now is even that much better than both she and I expected. Every single person employed there, from the Sales/Management personel right on through to the Nursing Staff, the Patient Aids and Custodial and Kitchen staff are kind, compassionate and generally concerned that residents are well looked after and content. I never ever have to worry about my Mom's well being again and you simply cannot put a price on that peace of mind.
