My two year old visited the ER last night. During this emotional (for me) visit, the ENTIRE staff that we worked with was nothing short of amazing. An EMT checked us in with the utmost concern and care, the two nurses that checked on us were thoughtful and even provided extra care at the end, the doctor had the BEST bedside manner I ve ever witnessed as did the staff member who conducted his CT Scan. I wish I could give more stars for these staff who were working at night during COVID-19!!!!! Kudos to all of you!!

Prices are high. Service is slow. The volunteers they have shouldn't be dealing with the public. Everytime I go in there, a short hair younger woman works and always says inappropriate stuff to customers and just is OFF. I'm annoyed everyime!!! Shes working right now. Annoying!

While some staff are excellent, they don't make up for the HORRIBLE ones. Uncaring or unskilled, I believe that it is a mixture of both. Almost a month and I was ALLOWED to brush my teeth three times. I begged for someone to please wash my matted and greasy hair. Only Patty, from ICU did it.
She is AMAZING, KIND AND CONSIDERATE.

IF I COULD GIVE THEM A LOWER RATING, I WOULD.
Avoid this place like the plague.

You will die waiting for anything to get done....then they will ask why you didn't fill out a form....otherwise they could have done what was needed. New carle policy and all. This place is a joke.

I have carbon copies proving that I spelled my baby s name correctly on ALL HOSPITAL FORMS! But, some DETAIL-CHALLENGED straight out of high school chic careless staff person spelled my daughter s name WRONG! Now I have to pay for the state to correct the birth certificate etc.!!! Be sure to double, triple check all documents from this hospital!! They are not very detailed oriented!!! They must rely on nepotism to hire staff because this chic was way under qualified to handle my child s OFFICIAL documents!!!

Billing issues. How is it legal for any medical organization to not disclose costs upfront! Mechanics must provide a quote prior to authorization on vehicle maintenance, restaurants post menu prices, employers disclose wages prior to an employee working but the medical field is not required to post prices why? This is deceptive practices, unequal (billed higher if you have insurance, after you still pay premium, copays and out of pocket maxes) and someone with insurance gets billed less and then they write off the remaining balance. Terrible in general. But then to wait 6 months and send a full price bill that wasn t ever submitted to the insurance, why? Is there a statute of limitations on timely billing? Such a scam! Hopefully some victims of BCBS will get relief, would have been nice for the class action to include billing transparency and equality!

This was the worst hospital experience I have ever had. I worked in two nationally known hospitals as a social worker, so I am familiar with how this works. I was not able to brush my teeth for 3 days and was not allowed to bathe until the 4th day when I insisted in spite of opposition from nursing staff and arguing between nursing and OT. My blood-stained sheets were never changed during my 4 day stay. Dirty gowns and linens were on a shelf in my room during my entire stay. I was not able to summon my nurses' or aides' pagers because the prefixes were not provided on the white board. When I mentioned this, one of them replied with disdain, "Well all you have to do is dial 49 ahead of it." I was never told that, and it was not in any of the hospital literature I was given upon admission. In spite of providing Advance Directives and next of kin information at the pre-surgery class, my daughter's contact information and residence were totally wrong. There was NO WAY for anyone to contact her! The discharge planner NEVER discussed discharge plans with me in terms of inquiring about my home situation and who would care for me and where my family lives. In fact, she came to my room three times and TOLD me what SHE planned. As I was being taken to the entrance for discharge, I mentioned to the staff member that I was disturbed that my Advance Directives were not in my chart. Her response was, "Oh, that's no big deal. No one pays attention to those anyway." I am 65 years old and I CARE! I WILL NEVER USE THIS HOSPITAL AGAIN!

I would give zero stars if i could..

I would give zero stars if i could..
They had very poor bedside manner and did not listen to what i had to say at all. Treated me like i didnt matter. They rushed me in and out and didnt seem to care about my health at all.

I had a severe allergic reaction that started early in the morning, i went to BroMenn because i was starting to get a rash and swelling on my face, neck, chest, etc.
They took their sweet time getting me back to be seen, granted they were busy, but i would say an aergic reaction is a cause for concern especially with sweelling of the throat.

Once i got to be seen, they pumped me full of steroids and antihistamines, which made me have extreme pain in my stomach almost immediately. I laid there crying, screaming, and sobbing in pain for over half an hour. No one asked what was wrong. No one came in to check on me. And I was obviously loud enough to be heard because the patient next door to me had a dad who came to see if i was okay. I tried to get help from the nurse's desk, but no one paid attention to me until i fell to the floor doubled over in pain.

I unfortunately had to visit them twice the same day because the swelling-allergic reaction came back the same evening.

Honestly if something like that happens to me again, id rather risk my life and drive to a different ER.

I added a few photos to show how severe my allergic reaction was. And how serious it was. I was covered literally head to toe, including my scalp and bottoms of my feet. I was swollen and rashed everywhere.
