Unfortunately, my company has booked us to stay at the Hilton a few times During the course of the past year. Candidly speaking, the warmth and welcome ends at the Valet podium. Tonight when I arrived to check in I was forced to stay in a room with one of my Colleagues until the room was ready . It s frustrating that at every visit the atmosphere is cold and unaccommodating. What s even more sad is, had we been of a different race, the reception would have been different.
I m here on business, so the amenities are never enjoyed by my team and I but when the lady in white from the front desk (God I wish I remembered her name) personally delivered the keys to my room with a hello and a good night I was shocked. Is there no care for customer service at the Hilton? What provisions are made for a guest who arrives at 10:35 pm only to find that the room isn t ready?

The rooms were not ready for check-in (4:00pm). The rooms were small. Most (not all) of the staff were rude and indifferent. My wife asked the bartender what was the best tropical drink. His response summed up their attitude: "The one you buy". They get 15% gratuity on all service so why bother with good service? All in all, it was a very poor experience.

26 years since I've been to this hotel. I was reading the Q&A's a lot has changed of course. The hotel was very nice back then and I know it probably still is. Francine Sweet, Annette and me what a great time. Loved the location visiting the straw market, eating at Bahamian Cookin which back then was Bahamian Kitchen. Loved seeing the cruise boats docked rite there. It was soo long ago one of the boats was Disney Big Red Boat(was once official cruise line for Walt Disney World). And of course Coral World Observatory which just sitting there rusting away. We did a catamaran tour on the Paradise Island side. Fast fast boat that catamaran also got a glimpse of Carnivals Crystal Palace(closed). This is how long it's been since we've been here. TIME TO DUE AN UPDATE WITH NEW FAMILY MEMBERS

Everything about our stay here was wonderful! All of the staff was very friendly and their service was impeccable. They were always available to help with anything. The room was always clean and the grounds were well kept. The private beach is perfect and provides some solitude away from the hustle and bustle around the corner. The hotel location is perfect if your stay involves doing things around the downtown area or across the bridge to Paradise Island. No complaints at all and we would definitely stay here again!!

My favorite place in the Bahamas....met an employee named Leanardo who made our trip special by taking the time to see that we were comfortable and was just a great host...whoever hired him knew what to look for in an employee...he took the time to talk with us and explain some of the culture in Nassau and we so enjoyed talking with him...to me, employees like him him are hard to find and he's an asset to the establishment

I did a day pass since I came in on a cruise and it came with the $40 credit for food, it wasn't crowded which was nice ,small Beach they do offer paddle boards but I don't see how there's room to use them since it is a smaller area but beautiful views they advertise it takes 10 minutes to walk from the cruise port but it's more about 20 if you have children I recommend getting a taxi, we asked the waitress before you're getting ready to leave our total was then we are given a different amount when we got the check and we also were not aware that 18% gratuity is already included so be aware of that, the food is pricey for what you get for example fish sandwich with roasted potatoes which actually is a bag of Lay's chips is $20. We did snorkel the beach not too many fish but we did find a lot of trash unfortunately and they were also working on the boardwalk so it was closed, they're building a hotel next door so there was Construction, the service is slow we didn't see the waitress too much and they use a lot of plastic meaning there was a lot of straws cups just overall not a very eco-friendly place which is sad because it's a beautiful ocean but we ended up finding more trash than shells in the water. I won't recommend it just because the price in the food is overpriced and the beach is small. Not good for snorkeling but good for swimming

Beautiful views. Sat by one of the bar tables and had drinks and appetizers with family. They bar staff serves fairly quickly and but in orders to the kitchen in a reasonable time period. Minimal wait for food. Lots of televisions as well focused on a variety of sports shows, however they are accommodating and will change the channel if requested. Seating at the bar or at tables indoors or out.
