Brie Cater Review

BRIE did a fantastic job catering our wedding! From the initial tasting through the day of, Brian was very easy to communicate with, and he is clearly passionate about what he does. The staff provided excellent service. We had some food sensitivities and kids to accommodate, and they handled everything so smoothly. We received several complements on the food, which was our number one concern in keeping our guests happy. All at a very affordable price! Thank you, BRIE Cater!

My husband and I are so happy we chose Brie to cater our October 2020 wedding! We met with Brian (the owner) 11 months prior to our wedding for a tasting, and everything was phenomenal. We chose to serve the tuxedo chicken, filet mignon and veggie stack as our dinner entrees. We also served butler - passed appetizers during cocktail hour that were also incredible (brie encroute, artichoke parmesan puffs and crab cakes). Not only did we receive raving reviews from our guests on the appetizers, but we also received feedback that the entrees were some of the best food our guests had tasted at a wedding, ever! Throughout the entire planning process, Brian and his team were transparent, responsive and supportive and were also professional and timely on our wedding day! Brian also went above and beyond and offered his team's assistance in any way we needed throughout the dinner (setting up our late night snack which we ordered from an outside pizza vendor, etc.) We recommend Brie to any couple looking for stellar and tasty catering at their wedding.

Brian of Brie Catering came to my house and cooked a meal for 10 of us. I have to say the tenderloin cooked in a salt shell was the most amazing piece of meat i have ever had. Truly exception. Brie Cater is amazing. My wife and I had another caterer for our wedding and they ended up not being able to do it. So we needed another caterer under short notice. Brie was more than happy to do it. Their attitude was genuine and kind. They could have easily asked for much more money since we were so close to our wedding date (5 days notice) but Brian, and his team, were only interested in making our event fantastic. This company s goal is about making the event they cater successful and fun rather than just making money. They gave us great service, they understood the stressful situation we were in, and they were genuinely happy to help us. Not only were they kind to us and gave us great service, it was amazing food. Their tuxedo chicken is amazing! We only had positive comments from our guest, and we had a lot of comments on it! Brie Cater also made a separate dish for our gluten free guests. Our experience was wonderful and we are so thankful for their willingness to do our wedding. They would be my first recommendation for a caterer for their kindness, professionalism, and their fantastic food!

BRIE was awesome!!! Our wedding food was cooked to perfection with their staff finishing on-site. The service was very professional and friendly, they looked like they loved their job. Brian is the owner and responsible for sales and he responded immediately up to our wedding day and was there to make sure things went as planned. I would recommend BRIE to any one looking for a great caterer for their wedding!!

We are so happy we hired Brie for our wedding - the entire team did such an amazing job! From the tasting to the day of, they had such great attention to detail and it was clear they had a passion for food. All night, our guests kept coming up to us and saying how incredible the food was, and how it was the best wedding food they'd ever eaten. Brie truly left our guests feeling happy and helped make our day absolutely perfect. Highly recommend - great price, excellent food and service!

Brian and his team are great! Had a birthday party catered, and he made it so easy. The whole family loved the food! Had an entire menu planned out, and as the organizer, it made it so easy for me.

UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review, we were contacted by the owner of Brie Cater and told that instead of a gift card, he would send us a $100 check in return for deleting our review. We were appalled at the attempt to buy out our review and the lack of integrity shown. We stand behind our review and hope that it will help others make an informed decision.

We chose Brie Cater because it was moderately priced and on our recommended catering list for our venue. We found Christina, the contact person for Brie, to be frustrating to work with as she often didn't reply to emails promptly and would only address parts emails. On the day of, she was very short with my husband when he asked a question about a table that was left out during set up. The food was overall a let down and very different from our tasting. The appetizers were much smaller than the ones presented at the tasting and the salads were small plates of greens with a few strawberries and dressing. Our biggest issue was the beef. We chose the steak and had asked in our consultation how this would be prepared. We were reassured that it would be served medium rare. The majority of the steaks that arrived where almost raw, rare at best. Mine was almost purple and actually still cold at the center. I learned after the wedding that the waitstaff didn't check in at many of the tables after the food was served so there was no opportunity to send the steaks back. Many the guests either cut around their steaks or gave them to a family member who was going to bring them home for his dogs. When we contacted Brie about this after the wedding, they were defensive, claiming that not many people had sent their steak back and they didn't see a lot of leftovers when clearing plates. Although, in my opinion, it's hard to send something back when no one checks in on your guests and there will be no leftovers if they're in a bag for the dogs. BRIE offered to send a gift card for their restaurant to compensate for my steak as the bride, but they never followed through in sending one. Overall there are better caterers for the price out there.

Brian is great! He has done our Saint Agnes School fundraiser event (500+people) for the past 3 years now and we are excited to get going again! His food options are fun, delicious and, and cost sensitive. He really goes the extra mile, often at his own cost that he doesn't pass on to us. Amazingly, the food at the taste testing he sets up for us (4 people) tastes just the same as the day of the event when it is made in mass quantities. Brian and crew is certainly our unsung hero at our events! We highly recommend him.
