The Rehabilitation Center at Brethren Village is truly an amazing building. My mother in law recently had two knee replacements and needed rehab after each one. The first time she went to another skilled rehab. She had a shared room with a curtain down the middle, a roommate with dementia that kept coming over to her side of the room, and a ceiling that was stained and sounded like the roof would cave it when it rained. At Brethren Village - the rooms are all private! Beautiful! Peaceful. Bright. From the nursing staff to therapy staff - even the folks in food services - they meet every need to ensure a positive experience!

The day I decided to walk out of the facility was the best day of my life. I felt as if a weight was lifted off of my shoulders.
The place was wonderful to work for in the beginning, but slowly, after so many higher authorities came and went... it fell apart.
I injured myself on the job and also had many personal family matters going on all at the same time. I was a very hard worker and my residents loved me and knew I was there for the right reasons.
The nursing supervisors and scheduler called me a liar and said that I really was not injured... but I had paperwork proving my injury and how extensive it was. I never was treated so badly by a company... so I decided to leave... and then heard other lies told about me from the supervisor... this certain supervisor has been known to verbally abuse other co- workers, and yet they still have their job.
The only thing this facility cares about is money. They do not care about the residents or workers. If they did, they would not allows these things to happen to good, hard working people. It s such a shame because there are certain residents that still wish good people like me worked there and helped them. I will never step foot onto the property again due to the horrible pain and embarrassment those people put me through.

I work in the rehabilitation department and I LOVE MY JOB! All of my regular LPN's and RN's jump in and provide ADL care and answer call bells just like the Aides provide. My 7pm-7am colleagues all work as a true team to provide our residents with the care they deserve and to meet whatever the needs are for our residents. I enjoy assisting our residents in their recovery process, I like the continual change in residents due to it being short term rehab. Leadership has been great to work with, and our unit is organized and everyone knows what is expected of them. This is one of the best nursing homes I've ever worked for!

My dealings with the staff have been nothing less than a 10/10. Whenever I have mentioned my grandmother they always immediately know to whom I am referring and are always willing to help me out despite their busy schedules. They go out of their way to make sure their residents have what they need and that they can help in any way that they can. I am very satisfied with my dealings with the nurses here and am confident in their care of my grandmother.

This place is fabulous!, until you need skilled care. As an employee in skilled care observing daily, I saw: too much neglect, residents misery increasing while waiting a very long time for help to get to the bathroom. CNA's more concerned with chit-chat than with resident care. Charge nurses with paperwork demanding their time,
very little patient contact...barely able to get meds given. Each CNA responsible for 12 residents rather than the usual 8. Greedy administration demanding huge salaries, with 'inadequate funding' for more staff. Staff, esp. nurses, criticized, unappreciated, even those who did care and give beyond their all. Numerous staff call-offs, void filled with "Agency" staff unfamiliar with residents and their preferences. . . .

Can't judge a book by its cover! However their PCT's truly care about the 20 patients in Rehab. If the Mennonite Home would have had a private room, we could have avoided this place. They have one unlicensed social worker and the nursing staff does not know what the right hand is doing....he was great and you know who you are.
