Only police department that tells you not to call non emergency without an emergency. Basically calls you names and hangs up on you.
I also have video evidence of cops lying to protect other cops. We have tried to discuss said matters with said department and constantly get lied to and disrespected. I think they forgot that they are protectors of the people, not violators of rights.
My girlfriend reported abuse mentally and physically and it's been near three hours and nothing.
They came and specifically told us mental abuse is not abuse and that a child being beat 2 years ago and forced to lie about it isn't a crime.
Basically, Brentwood pd doesn't deal with crime

I hope you guys read this and applaud her.. the Lady Valdes at the front desk is amazing help. Going to the police station is out of my comfort zone or anyone and she is awsome. Helped me with numbers. Just above and beyond..

They think they are above the law. It takes 2 or 3 police officers in separate cars to pull you over for a simple traffic stop. They do not follow the rules of the road even when they are not on a call. They turn their lights and sirens on to go through a red light then turn them off once they are run the light.

Serve and Protect? I loaned out my truck and the driver got pulled over for suspended license (I was unaware). I spoke with the officer, Alvarez, and told him I would come get the truck and I showed up BEFORE the tow truck and Alvarez would not let me take my truck, even though I have valid CDL, registration and insurance. I had to go to Brentwood PD, pay 166.75 for a release, then to Pena and paid 205.00 for the tow. I had to pay 371.75 to get my truck even though I was all good. AND the driver and his passenger both walked away with misdemeanor citations that they probably will disregard. I was told by Alvarez on the phone that the driver had a suspended license, showed up to get my truck, and ended up being the only one that was penalized. I feel I was discriminated against for someone else's history with them. Serve and protect? All they did was make things more difficult for me. Alvarez knew he couldn't get those two for anything more, so he chose to pick on me instead. I'm no longer a fan of Brentwood PD. Discrimination best describes my experience with them. I hope they are coached on how to better "serve" the citizens. I have one star only because I engaged in conversation with the other officer.
