Unqualified teachers and poor management. You will...

Unqualified teachers and poor management. You will be pressed to find a department in this school that has enough qualified teachers for the sheer volume of pupils. Most are either newly qualified or have just graduated. Do not be fooled by the results on league tables...not that difficult to get if you send any students who don't fit your academic agenda to the local PRU (severely damaging their life prospects in the process). Children are bullied by senior members of staff and results/data are often massaged. That is before you even take into account the authoritarian policies inflicted on staff and pupils alike. Management are incompetent at best and workload for staff is horrendous. The teachers who work incredibly hard to give children the best start in life are treated with utter contempt. Avoid at all costs if you want to protect your child's academic, emotional and social wellbeing.

Wow, i feel so proud to be a part of this school. I have been a teacher at the school for 7 years and live in Newham. This school has transformed the image of the community and the recent positive news about all the Oxbridge offers is so nice but didn t just happen overnight. Brampton has been improving strongly since Dr Olukoshi became the principle. There is a good team spirit in the place and the staff just want the best for the students. I can go on and on about how good Brampton is but you come and find out yourself.

This school is completely twisted. As a year 10 student, there have been incidents of sexual assault in my year. The punishment for a repeat sexual assault against a student since they joined the school? A parent meeting. The punishment for turning off the interactive board? EXCLUSION. From personal knowledge and sources in my year I've heard that the offender of sexual assault is still doing it. School does nothing to change this. #FREEOSCAR

I am so pleased to read of the 41 Oxbridge offers and to hear that you don t have any posh partners like Eton. It s so wonderful to know that this has been achieved though the hard work of your students and teachers. More grease to your elbows. You have confirmed that inner city schools and schools in challenging areas can also achieve excellence. Last year you sent 20 students to Oxbridge too - more than the majority of expensive independent schools. This school is on point and is to be celebrated nationally and internationally. Well done to all of you.

I've never come across such a disorganised school. Fail to inform/update parents about any changes to timetable such as sports day /trips. Am left practically driving around Newham looking for my daughter half the time. Imagine the terror as minutes tick by and cannot find my daughter and the school has NO idea either. Happened on more than one occasion hence this review. These kids are YOUR responsibility from the moment we drop them and collect them, YOU should have the answers. You need to rethink your proceeses and implement a more robust system of communication before something serious befalls

This school has really bad reputations and I don't think it will be good for my daughter either. Plus There's usually lots of bad kids misbehaving on streets and swearing which is bad towards the school also. St Angela's Is the best school so far.

Incredibly disgusting school, pupils are not allowed to go to the toilet during lesson and the consequence that occurs for this is a detention which is cetainly unfair. This also the same if a girl is on her period, the school still has no remorse towards the student and the punishment is the same. There have also been many reports of sexual harrasment with students however the school does not take any serious measures which I find to be absolutely unacceptable. The school also introduced a "one way system" in which students are only allowed to travel through one way around the school which is incredibly time consuming. The students that roam the streets are incredibly rude from swearing to racially slurring others. Not a good school.

Not good, went here in year 7 and part of year 8, This school is just hell. Do not go here

Edit: a month from then and yeah, this school runs like a sweatshop/dictatorship plus there is not a lot of diversity in this school, most of them are thugs that are insecure and definitly deranged; More like a mental asylum than a sweatshop or school.
0/Infinite, do not let your child be there.

This is a school that has been transformed beyond recognition over a relatively short period of time. Brampton has been on an upward journey since the current headteacher Dr Olukashi joined the school in 2008. As a current teacher at the school, I have witnessed the huge change in the behaviour of the staff and students. You can see for yourself on the league tables how well the school is performing. This is because staff absence is a lot lower than it used to be and the quality of teaching has improved a lot. Since the school became an academy and opened the 6th form, things moved up a notch. Reading some of the negative comments on here made me to write this because they cannot truly be from people that really know the school - they are just false pure and simple. I also live in Newham and my neighbors and their friends that know that I work in Brampton desperately want their children to attend the school.

This is a stunning school and some of the negative comments here must be from haters or people that really know the school. I have lived in this area for over 30 years and this school was regarded as the school from hell. Today, it is the pride of this community. It is not perfect (which organisation is), but credit where credit is due - Brampton is an excellent school that has brought good news to East Ham especially in the last 10 years. I salute all the teachers and staff. Please keep up the good work and don t allow some of the ignorant and rubbish comments here to discourage you. We are all proud of what you are doing.

A horrible place to work where staff wellbeing is the bottom of the list of priorities. Many student and staff are unhappy and the school unashamedly puts results before anything else - creating a horrible and demoralising working environment. Akin to a 21st century workhouse. A shame that we allow such people to profit from public money.

My daughter left this school last year. Bullied badly. School did nothing not interested. Now on antidepressants and has developed severe social anxiety as a result.
Don't send your child there.
Not outstanding at all.

It was wonderful to see you on TV tonight. All these students working so hard to achieve their dreams. I'm not a teacher anymore because it was so disappointing to be working hard yourself and see it all crumble.. But you show it can be done and there are students, that carry the flame forwards. Thank you so much! That's so inspiring. I wish you God-speed for the future. And one of you the new prime minister? That sounds wonderful to me. Someone who has gone through thick and thin and knows what they're talking about. Welcome!!

a philistine, regimental culture instilled from a management focussed on social control rather than learning (as typified by the klaxon instead of bell between lessons) alleviated by a few dedicated classroom teachers. Does the rear of the building still exhibit the dents and broken windows caused by people (prob ex-pupils) on the waste ground taking pot shots with air rifles? [supply teacher: I hated it]

An excellent school, the best in this region. As a parent, I am so delighted that my child is attending such a well led and high achieving school and don t have to pay thousands of pounds a year in a private school that won t give my girl the same standard of education. This school really cares about the children and I couldn t be happier. Keep up the good job.
