Lived in an apartment on McKeown for six years and watched it deteriorate. Multiple requests for maintenance were declined and they had the audacity to charge us for it upon departure. We are very clean (almost OCD), mature people and they charged an extra $60 cleaning fee after requesting we scrub the walls (which we did). Ensure you document everything and receive a move-in inspection because new management will create expenses for you upon departure. I DO NOT reccomend living in this apartment because a coat of paint doesn't hide all its flaws

The property management seems kind of lazy and slow when addressing issues with regards to flaws in their building structure and heating within the units. The woman in charge (Laura, who has been pretty condescending any time I've had to speak with her) will talk you out of having building maintenance come to solve the issue and will instead tell you to do it yourself, because a 23yr old woman will do the exact same thing a paid maintenance crew member would do in terms of their job.
Find landlords who care about their tenants instead of ones who pawn their duties off to poorly run management companies is all the advice I can give to anyone inquiring about a unit through bradwick.
Been here since October, my place has flooded twice. They are terrible at repairing things in a timely matter (took them 3 months to come in and fix my bedroom window). They just bandaid the issues instead of fixing them.Would not recommend Bradwick to anyone.
The maintenance takes weeks to get to the issue and all he has to say is that he will need to put in a request for an electrician to come which takes additional weeks. Ughhhh. So frustrated. If it has to do with ceiling lights and outlets of course it will need to be an electrician to fix the problem.... skip the unnecessary steps please!!!
Horrible building condition with terrible customer service! I am living in 579 McKeown Ave apt and this building has serious issues in leaking water. I reported about this a month ago and had to empty the buskets of the collected of leaked water regularly and even in the midnight. But no one came to fix it and the condition became worse as the photos shown. The water from the ouside leaked through the wall and made both rooms carpet fully soaked. When I came back, I found out the water was dripping from the ceiling directly into my laptop which caused techinical problem. Our furnitures were also soaked and became smelly. The water is yellowish and make severe fishy smell. The company hired carpet cleaning company and one of the guy came to my unit and said they would come back on Monday (March 18) so remove all the furnitures from both rooms so they can do their work easily. On Monday at 5 am, our family removed all the furnintures including heavy closets, beds, desks, chairs etc from both rooms and the building maintenance guy came and said they cannot clean the carpet this week but will come back next week. My mom (who has issues in arthritis) and I had to remove all the furnitures, and to us, putting all the furnitures back to the room and do this same job again next week was non-sense. (My mom got severe backpain and joint pain after she moved all the furnitures, but we were enough from being suffered to sleep for days for terrible smell from the soaked carpet so we really needed the carpet cleaning) After we called the office, one guy came in and set up the drying machines under the damaged carpet on both rooms and told us it would take 24 hours to be dried and then they can proceed cleaning process. The drying machines are blowing the wind under the carpet and were making heavy dusts, smell and noise. It was literally impossible to sleep, drinking all the heavy dust with terrible smell and listening noise so we contacted to the office and asked to offer any cheap hotel room to our family to stay one night. They refused the request and the reason was "We cannot offer hotel room because our landlord does not like to compensate anything about this." Yes. It was literally that reason. Our family is suffering for smell and dust and noise, but they refused it because their landlord does not want to spend any penny here. Even more, they kept chaning words about the cleaning service available date. At first, they said they would come on Monday then said they would come next week. When I complained about this they said they would make sure to clean carpet right after drying the carpet (after 24 hours), but when I called them to ask hotel stay they refused the request and said that cleaning service might be available in three days. They don't know how this is the severe issue to us and we are suffering from this living environment because they are just answering call in nice office and landlord does not care about human's right. When I explained to them that our family literally have no space to sleep and cannot sleep without mattress, the office girl said "It was your choice to remove all the furniture. You could remove partial furniture so take all the situation by yourself". The girl was horrible. I wanted to ask if you were me, would you really sleep with heavy dust, smell, and noise all night? (I even sent photos of the current situation of the rooms and still girls told me like that). They don't know basic human right and don't protect tenant's right too. We pay about $920/month for 2 bedrooms apartment and their application process is very demaning, but the maintenance process and customer service are not worth what they asked to you. They had no willingness to fix the issue as soon as possible and kept chaning the date of the cleaning service. This building makes your family members get sick, and the office will just tell you "Well, you chose to remove all the furniture from room so you sleep anywhere in the living room floor". I am living with old mom (almost 60) who has arthritis and it was what they said to us.
My friend lives here and is having problems with sewer water flooding in their apartment. The building staff was rude and refused to replace the soiled carpet until they demanded them to. They agreeded but were extremely rude and passive aggressive. This place needs to be reported.
They require some people to have a guarantor to sign the lease, but do not have this requirement for all tenants. Prospective tenants have to fill out an application before they can even schedule a viewing. The company does not allow dishwashers in their units, nor do they come with dishwashers.
I rented a house from Bradwick for a few years, I found the staff to be courteous helpful and the house was always in good state of repair. I recently purchased a home but I didn't I would still be a tenant of Bradwick's.
