I remember the time I loved boys and girls club!! Every since they replaced the front desk staff it as gone down hill. There is always an issue with one front desk staff member with all the parents my kids won t be returning!!!

Kids are happy everyday. They have wonderful stories to tell. Kids leave out with top of the lline snacks that looks like whole meals. And, the food is not cheap or something thrown together
Love Mrs. Dawn & Mrs. Masion been in my kids life since Pre-K was a GREAT feeling to see familiar faces along with new ones like Mrs. Dawn always goin beyond the call of duty there when you need a listening ear never met a beautiful soul and she knows ALL KIDS NAMES by the parents and the staff with my boys love it! Love them like family
The boys and girls club was very kind and generous to allow us all to use their parking lot for the cops and kids parade for Christmas Thank you to the Concord Sherriffs dept!
I use to go to boys and girls Club. They are pretty nice people. But when you get in trouble you feel like it s a prison, waiting for some one (your parents) to break you out. But the best part of boys and girls Club is there summer program. It s amazing!! In the summer that was one of the most amazing things to look forward to!! I love it! When I get older I m am definitely going to help out.
During my tenure of 2 years at the Boys And Girls Club of Cabarrus County in Concord, NC I was unfairly terminated by Joe Habina for the following reasons that he made me aware of. First, eating Wendy s in the gym which was about a month ago. Then, a couple weeks ago I was reprimanded for eating sunflower seeds outside of the building while I was off the clock. Last week, I was asked by Joe how bowling went with the kids and I responded that I did not participate because I did not know how to bowl or teach bowling. With that being said, I strongly feel as though I was specifically targeted due to the fact that no one else was fired or even written up for committing the same infractions. During my tenure, I have witnessed coworkers eating and drinking on the clock, and when asked if Joe Habina said anything to them about eating they responded that Joe Habina said nothing at all. We are not supposed to be on our phones at all, but I have seen others on their phone in front of the directors and have they still have their jobs.. I have seen other incidents occur involving kids in life or death situations and they still have their jobs. I was told that I couldn t have visitors, but I have seen other employees have guests on the job. I understand that the rules do not allow for certain things; however, I do not appreciate being singled out for those things while others have not. In my opinion, I would not advise anyone be an employee at the Boys and Girls Club Of Cabarrus County because if the boss does not like you he will try to get rid of you. One of the kids parents approached me on the job, which was very unprofessional and the directors did not bring attention to that. This shows that they do not care at all about their staff. I feel that if the reasoning for termination was deeper than me eating sunflower seeds and etc. then in my opinion Joe Habina is a coward for not bringing that to light. If it really was for eating and drinking on the job, then in that case EVERYONE should have lost their job. If eating and drinking is against the policy then why hasn t anybody else been fired for even drinking a soda or a bottle of water? If not playing a certain game on the schedule then why hasn t anybody else been fired for not doing so? These are types of questions that need to be answered, Joe Habina. I do not want to sound like a disgruntled employee by making these claims. By no means do I want that job back; but I just wanted to bring awareness to the unfair and inconsistent treatment of employees at Boys & Girls Club Of Cabarrus Co.
