Ticketed within first 24 hours of vacation due to a legitimate oversight/accident. A stressful and disappointing experience. There was little understanding and it has shifted my view of the area. Would think twice before visiting this area again.
Just want to say thank you to all these officers and administrators with the Boulder County Sheriff's Department. You are appreciated and critical to our beautiful community. Many of the reviews on this page are negative because of the lack of responsibility. The vast majority of people in Boulder and the surrounding communities believe in what you are doing and have better standards of living because of the work you do! Be safe out there and THANK YOU.
Had bad experience with one the sheriff officers from here. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the police. I'm always thankful for their service, but a lot of time some of the police officers are just some arrogant selfish people that only want to take advantage of other people.
Thank you for your service. I hope these officers, who risk their lives on a daily basis, know that there are many of us out there who appreciate their sacrifices and hard work. We are grateful.
Don t walk your service dog without a leash, these deputies will arrest you tase you, put you on suicide watch so they can keep you captive longer to choke and restrain you strapped to a chair and then tase you repeatedly while restrained with a bag over your head to minimize violence and ensure safety , they consider this minimal for a dog leash violation. Two stars because the lady on the phone was decent. Otherwise this is a joke for a department. Sent a protection order to get served. Wrote my number on the cover page to be contacted if there was issues. Which there was. Aka the party isn t even in town. So I go to the court date and get told nothing has been done with the order. No contact from the department that the order couldn t get served. Nothing. Weld county is better and it s WELD COUNTY.
Every officer and member of staff has been exceptionally polite. And I am astounded at how many negative reviews this department has received based on an edited version of a tape that shows the criminal resisting and fighting (and even that video has been edited to make her look like a victim and twisted to fit the " woe is me" narrative. The video still shows a non compliant individual who thinks they should not be punished for breaking THE LAW)
Guess what guys?! You break the law, you go to jail and if you resist or attempt harm yourself or other officers, they legally have to preserve your safety, their safety and the safety of the other inmates. If you don't want to go to jail, then DON'T BREAK THE LAW. Very simple.Just sayin
So they hire duties that think is someone knows there rights as a citizen of the United States of America...... they are sovereign citizens..... The only sovereign citizen in that county is the people that work for the sheriff department... This is a direct reflection on the Sheriff. Shoot first asset second then investigate. Shame shame shame.. you failed everything you say you stand for..
