Sat here for some auditions. Decently easy to find, okay parking for its location. Seating was limited but it seemed to all work out somehow. People were friendly and smiled and appeared competent. I would come here again if I needed to.
Great people.. Beware there is no friendly entryway for strollers.
They got me in as an extra for Central Intelligence and Stronger. If you're serious about getting into acting and willing to commit the time, they'll help you find work. Trust, they will.
Parking is impossible if you go for a casting call.
they use to be good not anymore they pick only their favs and give the parts always to the same people people are not showing up to work because of this try cp casting better then boston ps labor board is looking in to how they run the bez so be very careful with bc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The "reel" deal. Boston Casting continues to change the lives of actors, even during the pandemic. Great staff & clear communication between parties.
I have worked with Boston Casting since the day it opened it doors over 25 years ago. They work very hard long hours to accommodate the movie business and the actors. They have an excellent website and classes are great. Angela, Lisa and the entire staff display a high caliber of true professionalism..
The classes here are so fun. Everyone is really nice and I met some of my best friends here. I got an audition (You get notifications in your email about general casting calls) within a week and a half of taking some classes. Honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had!
Boston Casting is a solid team of smart, savvy casting professionals!
All the casting directors are extremely down to earth and great to work with
Boston Casting is where I have had most of my audition training. I have taken classes here and there at BC, but when it comes down to it, you have to audition as many times as you can. You will have very bad auditions days and, some will be good. I have gotten call backs and for me this was a step up. I have auditioned in NYC as well. But BC has been my audition training ground. I took a year and half practicing audition skills with a professional in NYC all by Zoom. I will come back to that class in Jan 2021. If you take a class or training thru BC, don't expect to be given an acting gig. You do need to know how to audition- its a skill. Learn what you can Take those classes and learn. Paying $300 for a class does not entitle you to a job . Casting offices are always on the go. They may strike a small talk with you they may not but, don't take it personal. They are very busy people and they seldom have the time to hold you by the hand. In the beg, I did extra work. Sometimes I got called sometimes I didn't. Don't take it personal. Any extra gig you get remember is NOT about you. You are there to fill the room, that's all. Any speaking part you may get remember is NOT about you. Be prepared as much as you can for your auditions believe me once you are in the room, its a whole different deal. I hope this helps anyone who may be starting out or feels deeply offended by something with BC. They deal with thousands of actors, wanna be actors and those who are queens and kings ( I have met some). Don't take any of it personal. Any mean teacher yes! bring it up to them. I personally, never had any bad experiences with teachers at BC. I used to dislike auditions now I find them interesting and a way to try new things and try to get out of my shell more. Being consistent with my audition skill class for this long has helped me a great deal. Make sure you read the new COVID regulations and get to know the process they have now. Since I live about an hour away, I always had to be there early but most of the auditions are self tape so that's a great help
Boston Casting is a great place for aspiring actors to learn the craft, as well as find auditions for roles close to home.
So grateful for the ppportunitied with them!!!! fantastic staff!!!
WAS A MEMBER FOR A YEAR.APPLIED FOR EVERY EXTRA JOB ONLINE AND DIDN'T GET A SINGLE ONE. I HAVE YEARS OF MODELING EXPERIENCE. AND SOME ACTING EXPERIENCE AS WELL. THEY PREFER HIRING DEADBEAT DADS OVER PEOPLE WITH A GENUINE INTEREST OF ACTING.
Very efficient and friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to working together.
Love coming here. Very organized and professional. My kids love the classes.
I know who I'm keeping my eyes on. There are a few actors from Boston and one from Maine who really rocks considering her location and everything she's up against. Wish my favorites were featured in more roles with some speaking parts!
Angela, Aaron and the staff at Boston Casting are just awesome!
Had an audition right at there studio.parking right there for free.
Always a pleasure coming here! Quick and professional, it's like my one thing here in Boston that really reminds me of home in Los Angeles. Everyone working here is an absolute delight.
Extremely unprofessional. I was cast as an extra to film in Stronger. They told me I would get an email with all the details explaining where to go etc. Never got the email from them, and they will not reply. I am supposed to be filming today! Thanks for no help at all Boston Casting!
Brittany Shapiro has been awesome. We have been to several workshops and they have been top notch.
I took acting classes at Boston Casting. After looking at a few other places I chose to take Screen Acting with Jennifer, she was an awesome teacher! I already got a job through them as an extra. It was a fun experience going to the job and I met amazing people! Thank you Boston Casting and also Nick that helped me with the process for my fitting etc. I look forward to taking more classes with you in the near future. - Rodrigo
A guy named Keith answered my phone call as I was inquiring about casting information. He was extremely rude to me and put me on hold twice without saying why or apologizing.
I took an acting class in the Fall of 2017 with an older woman. I am STILL traumatized! I did this for fun with a friend. My acting partner was with a young women with broken English. The instructor SCREAMED, YELLED, INSULTED me, and was highly verbally abusive. It completely turned me off from acting. I basically paid $300 to become traumatized! Horrible experience!
One of the friendliest casting offices out there. Everybody in that office rocks
I admire entire staff at Boston Casting! Their dedication and compassion for their work presents as beautiful art piece because they are all doing work they love. Angelia you created an empire ! Your true beauty, charm and talent made this all possible! .... And that you work non stop hours and make it look like you just did a yoga class!
Disgusted! The guy I talked to had an attitude and told me he'd get in contact with me after he figures out the schedule and he never even bothered to get my number. He told me he would. They don't even respond to emails! Waste of time!
Seem to always be looking for Caucasian only roles, if you're not white go here to be an extra
Signed up for a year and saw no work. Had one recent opportunity to play a State Trooper in City on a Hill but got jerked around. The first person that contacted me asked me if I was available for 2 days. Yes. Ok, someone will call you back. A second person called and asked what my measurements are. I give the measurements. A third person calls and gives me information on booking, where and when to show up. BTW you need to get a State police haircut. I get the ridiculous haircut. 3 hours after person 3 calls I get a call from person 4 that says we're sorry we cant use you, wardrobe doesnt have a size 48 Trooper uniform. Has anyone seen the size of MA State Trooper? Naturally I'm annoyed after this s_show. Later that evening I recieved an email saying, sorry but we cant use you for the shoot. Wouldnt do it again if the membership were free.
Alot of opportunities and Fair casting. Be on your A game like always. Great casting crew.
It's a great place to learn about acting and meet new people. The staff are friendly.
Great staff, auditioned for Angela and Lisa here recently (both super cool), had very good experiences here. Hilary was very helpful to me. Is very organized and top notch! Colin was very sweet also.
