Bonita Golf Course Review

A sentimental favorite as I remember the original course that was on the current Plaza Bonita site and have been playing here for nearly 30 years. Staff usually friendly. Bar has limited but nice beer choices. Friday nights they have live entertainment. The course is flat, tree lined with a few wide open holes. Much more enjoyable (i.e. easier) to play than Chula Muni down the street.

Course is in great shspe---Fast greens, reasonable green fees. Very good food/drink.

the service at the restaurant it gets worst every time we go there the waiters are very careless the food is cold and you have to wait a long time for food...(we had to chase the waiter to bring our food out)

Come here for lunch and have the club sandwich... Yumm and the burgers are very popular. It's a nice clean place with a view of the golf course and a bar. Sweet ladies refilling your sweet tea, and service is excellent. My parents come here 3 times a week. On Friday and Saturday nights they have entertainment too. But today I couldn't get a refill. It doesn't pay to give good reviews.

Went here to go listen to my favorite band (Wild side) I don't know but you would think that the place would be considered enough to offer chairs to their customers when all the tables are full. Obviously this place is all about taking in your money which we would of left more of if they would of taken the time to acknowledge us. We spent three hours there and we weren't offered any service by any employee the whole time.
Another issue they have there is a very bad fowl odor coming from their bathrooms. We had to stand far away from the building to not smell it.
Management needs improvement on their service and people skills. I gave them one star only because there is no ZERO rating.
Only reason we stuck around was for the band!

Sleeper bar & grill, great food, well prepared & presented, excellent pricing. General public probably doesn't realize this is open to everyone. Great bar, very clean and well maintained. Excellent banquet facilities.

Golf course tees and fairways poor shape, greens ok. Felt rushed through whole round.

Course is on good shape. Bonita golf course is a amatuer friendly course in my opinion, but still enjoyable for a scratch or better golfer as well.the green fees are some of the fairest in the county for sure.check it out!

Although my husband and i did not end up playing this course due to my husband having an incident with his back, the staff was so accommodating and understanding. They refunded our greens fees and gave me a recommendation of where to take my husband for urgent care as we live out of state. I am so grateful for their help and understanding! We will make an effort to play this course when we return to the area. As a side note, we did have lunch here and the food and service were fantastic!

What a nice place to be outside in. (If that makes sense. ) Wait staff was very efficient and really tried to help all the tables they were serving. Just sitting out in the patio area having food and drinks and watching the golfers play. They had TV's inside but we could see them through the big picture windows from where we were sitting. They even put a game we wanted to watch on one of the TV's. That was nice of them. Had a fish dinner and it was outstanding. Good prices on drinks too. Every one masked up and social distancing was clearly observed. Don't play golf but that was clearly worth going. Will be soon. Again, and again and again. Great job Bonita Golf Course.

Good golf course, best greens in the area. Food at the grill is great, the gouda burger with garlic fries are top notch.

Good challenging course. Would be 5 stars but for a few rough spots on some greens. Fun course to play.

The course is in great shape. All of the staff are friendly and professional. Always have a good time.

We have always enjoyed our rounds at Bonita. Today we had a fantastic time. Brian was friendly and helpful in the Pro Shop, Jesus was nice as he prepared for a golf lesson on the range, and the course was in very nice shape! We will be back soon!

Great course, nice layout and challenging greens. A little slow on weekends, marshals should stay on top of groups playing ready golf.

Course was in good shape the policy of charging single riders was not. Service in the bar and restraunt were good.

I have not played the golf course yet, but have enjoyed a few meals at the restaurant. Open to all, it has a great menu that is an excellent value. Service was always excellent.

Excellent fairway condition. The greens are a little fast, but I guess different courses have different layouts

My granddaughter's wedding was held here and the wedding ceremony was on the golf course it was a beautiful day and the reception was held inside in the beautiful dining room her colors were purple and white so the large bows on the back of the white covered chairs were purple my favorite color the service was great the food was great the atmosphere was fantastic and the bride was gorgeous I loved it it was a wonderful experience

I honestly wish they would take care of the lawn some more. Nobody likes putting in sand traps if you get what I mean.

Wonderful place to play. Rates are fantastic and conditions are nearly perfect.

Been a patron for golf and dining for at least 10 years. Always friendly starter staff, as well as in the restaurant. Good food all day.

Really happy with the condition of the course... Yes a couple promos will get us back sooner. But, very enjoyable. Food was good as well and the service by Cheyne(Shane) was on point! Beer was cold.

First time in this beautiful golf course, family owned, very reasonable prices, breath taking views ! Food is great and prices are awesome!

You should check it out, take your time to take it all in and enjoy the time you can spend close to nature.

We played the super twilight time. It was not busy. We were taking our time and enjoying the moment. The course is above fair. Greens and fairways were kept nicely. The staff were cordial and responsive. I will visit again. Thank you BGC!

Full disclosure, nit there for golf, 19th hole is great

We go for breakfast every Friday. Price point is very reasonable, menu choices include traditional breakfast fare and portions are generous. The food is great and service was great before the dining area was remodeled and serving staff was changed. Food is still great, however service is extremely slow and certainly not friendly. In fact, the wait staff seems like they are afraid to take orders.

The course isn't very long and some of the fairways are narrow. It's an easy course if you can hit them straight. When I played, it was very dry and the greens where extremely fast. I'm not sure if it's like that all the time. Has a driving range and putting practice area, but I didn't see chip/pitch or sand areas.

Golf course is in superb condition and has been for a long time. Greens are fast. Great job by the maintenance folks.

Players were stacked tight. They let 5 somes, which makes it even slower. Expect 5-6 hour rounds. Course is in good shape, worth the money

When I lived there it was one of my favorites not long but challenging tree line and good greens and good food and drinks.

Nice celebrating of Life..did run out if chairs and food..but ceremony was wonderful bought to many tears to my eyes.

I always enjoy playing at BGC. Well maintained fairways and greens and green fees are reasonable.

Play was a little slow for a week day but it was beautiful and the course is in great shape.

Place is a zoo... We don't all hit the Fairway and when I missed, it was on hard gravel... Makes things difficult for an easy course... Greens roll nice as it warms up

The course is great and the staff is very friendly. But there needs to be marshalls out policing pace of play. Decided to call it quits after 16 because I was already at a 4 and a half hour round. In a perfect world, there would be a strict 4 hour pace of play and anybody who goes over would be kindly escorted from the course.

Not a very well kept course but that is reflected in the lower greens fees

Beautiful golf course spanning the length of Bonita. You will see horseback riders and joggers enjoying this place, as well.
