Quality has slipped in more recent years. It feels like it has become the place to go for when we have no idea where else to choose and we don't really want something fast casual. With the bustling food scene of Tampa Bay that's just not that often.
The food is still good, the service is excellent, and we will still go on occasion.

This is one of the few places I can go with a date , have appetizers and a drink and not have to shout to hear each other. Just a very nice atmosphere and great food
Very good services. ...like crab corn chowder...crab crusted cod..nd the crab fried rice...we also liked the Norwegian Salmon ....just bit pricey but served properly with a. smile
Was told a 5-10 minutes wait. On a Monday at a little after 8 I was a little surprised. But it's cool cause we really wanted to eat there. 18 minutes later we had not heard anything from hostess or received text to be seated. Didn't wait. In this day and age with all the amazing restaurant choices in the 'Burg, I don't think conveying an accurate wait time is too much to ask. That or communicating something to a customer when expected wait time is longer.
LOVE x A THOUSAND Bonefish! Went for my birthday dinner where the food & service were outstanding. Even discovered a white wine that I actually liked! Post the check payment, the manager came over with a birthday card & a small box of chocolates - talk about a nice surprise that was pure class!
The bread service and steak were delicious. That's about it. We ordered Chilian Sea Bass Oscar style with spinach asparagus, Filet Mignon with asparagus and spinach, and bang bang shrimp for an appetizer. The shrimp had way too much mayo and not enough flavor. Everything else was swimming in butter and over cooked except for the Filet. The asparagus was stringy and the spinach was almost inedible. I was excited to eat at bonefish because it is usually delicious but this location needs help.
Pathetic frozen fish. I could understand folks in Iowa enjoying this place, but the food here is basically Long John Silvers w/ fancy sauces. None of the fish is locally caught, and all of it is bad enough to need covering up.... try one of the dishes w/out the extras they put on top and you'll immediately see how bad the fish is. Seriously, St. Pete has plenty of good seafood joints, this isn't one of them. We'll give em an extra star for the service staff who do a good job.
Food is always delicious. My sister and I went out last night and Matthew R was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was excellent for us. Keep up the good work, Matthew!
I can't begin to tell you jow wonderful this restaurant is. Beautiful eatery. BEAUTIFUL, FRIENDLY servers. Outstanding fresh food. We celebrated mom's 80th birthday ther so this 88th birthday BONE FISH is where she wanted to go and have the BANG BANG SHRIMP.
We waited 25 minutes for our drink order and the sparse visits from our servers left us with ordering after an hour of arriving which we had to ask for. Food came out over 30 minutes later, and all service errors were justified with excuses like the bar is slammed , we are short staffed, you know how it goes ... we will not he dining here again!
We do love this particular Bonefish....we eat here at least once a month and more when we have guests in town. It is consistently good.....good food, good specials and good service!
Chose this place for lunch. I was limited to an hour, but less than 4 miles away. Only car in the parking lot when I pulled in at 12:45. 2 girls at hostess station. I go to the bar. A couple there, no bartender. I waited 10 minutes for the bartender to show up while the 2 young ladies chit chatted at the hostess station. Felicia finally shows up & takes my drink order & provides me with a menu. I place a drink order immediately & by the time my drink is served I order my lunch; fish & chips. 20 minutes later I realized my meal wasn't coming in time for me to eat it & get back where I needed to be, so I requested it to be boxed & asked for my bill. Had I still been in the restaurant when I tasted my food I would have sent it back, but I couldn't. My fish had at least 3/4" breading on it with very little fish. I couldn't eat it. I didn't even give it to my dog...too much grease. Would never have expected this from Bonefish. I live in Largo & frequent the East Bay location several times a month, always with excellent service & food.
