My second visit to Worst hospital ever . They didn't send my prescriptions to the pharmacy denied me of Medicaid and would not help with cost because I don't have insurance good forbid they should help somebody out with their medication
I've had all my children here, the labor and delivery team are great! Very professional, clean, and they treat patients with the upmost respect. The nurse's and doctor's constantly check on you asking how your pain is, how your feeling and answers any questions you may have. My baby was admitted to the NICU and all the staff are great! I knew my baby was in good hands when I wasn't there.
I have now spent over two weeks in this hospital at this point. It is chocked full of amazingly dedicated and talented staff. Every single individual I have come into contact with, from doctor down to overnight maintenance have all shown me so much dedication and compassion. I will always remember these amazing people, and highly commend everyone involved in the vetting/hiring process of their employees!
The nurses and doctors were great except for the ER doctor. He scared my husband to death by telling him the wrong diagnosis without waiting for test results. Other doctors and nurses were great
Like all Bon Secours facilities they don t have anyone in administration to speak to after 6 pm. They also don t have a method to contact an administrator after 6pm. Fortunately, my issue wasn t necessarily with Memorial Regional and was more with Watkins Center. The Dr and nurse were excellent considering the place seemed full of patients. They helped address the issue quickly and dial in on the problem thankfully. However, it took 4 hours to get to the necessary result which was at 2am. My partner then needed to stay for another 4 hours so I went home to rest. I was called to come get her at 6 but they wouldn t discharge until 7. Be ready to wait, and nothing happens fast.
My mom is on the 2nd floor as I type this. My mom has been sitting in urine for 3 hours. This place should be shut down. Don t take your love ones there. She just left the ICU yesterday and move out to another wing on the second floor. She said no one on came in her room last night to see about her. That is absolutely ridiculous. She told her doctor and still nothing was done. I was told the MRMC hospital sucks. And now I definitely agree. No one should sit in urine that long. No one.
With the Covid visitation restrictions, I have to rely on phone conversations for updates to my mother s care planning. Doctor has only called once to discuss plans and hasn t called back when he says he will. When I call to get updates or discuss something I see in the portal, the phone just rings at the nurse station until I get disconnected (multiple times). I ve requested multiple time to have her Advance Directives updated on her encounter, but it hasn t been done. Very disappointed.
If I could give 0 stars I would! I came in complaining of chest pain. They rushed me out of there and I felt unheard. Only prescribed me a muscle relaxant and Tylenol. I go to a different hospital four days later because the pain worsened and they told me I had fluid in my lungs. I was misdiagnosed. If I didn t go the second time my lungs could ve collapsed and I could ve died. Don t go here!
Worst hospital ever has been this way since it opened in Mechanicsville. When you have a parent who it is listed on there chart for doctors to call you they don't. Doctors have called for 1st time in 4 days today. Thise were the specialists. Visiting hours changed to 6 pm no where on website is this stated says main entrance is open til 9. So if you work can't visit your patient leading to further depression of the patient. Always a challenge to get in understand with Covid there have to be restrictions but these are ridiculous. Go somewhere else in Richmond. I work in several hospitals in Richmond and never have the headaches of getting in them like Memorial regional. Can't rate it with negative stars or that would be the best.
The worse care and communication my family has experienced. Kept the patient for 6 days, Medicare for 6 days did nothing then told him to go home with no treatment. Didn't even help him shower or dress, came in a 7:30 am and said you can go now. My family contacted the case manager who said "He doesn't need to be here, what do you expect us to do". When we contacted the patient advocacy group prior to his leaving and explained our concerns of lack of treatment it was plainly stated "the doctor has already released him what do you want me to do with this."
The wonderful cooperate health care system milk all the money we can and then get them out. I hope none of your family members end up a t a Bon Secours facility, they preach their values but show you their true cooperate actions.
