Best Indian vegetarian restaurant with several options for snacks, main course and Indian sweets

The food is soooo good! Vegetarian but you'd never know. So tasty. Very cheap meals, I had a starter and it was more than enough for lunch. Service was fantastic.

We went in for lunch and had veg manchurian ,chowmein for starters and Paneer tikka masala and Eggplant korma for our mains. All our food was so delicious and served hot. The staff is friendly and well trained . They even come on table after serving and ask if everything is according to our choice. I would definitely recommend to visit Bolina sweets and restaurant to all my friends.

Worst experience ever, no transparency in price of sweets. Even, they will give the sweets in rice take away box. Like seriously.. They don t even deserve 1/2 star. Don t waste your time and money or spoil your mood of celebration by going to Bolina Sweets.

Food is really delicious here. Moreover, the manager Mr. Akshay Kumar is welcoming and friendly as well.

Staff need to be smart and friendly. He is so dumb and not treating the south Indian customers properly. Had an irritating experience.

I had Chole bature and it was tasty with and not oily as we get at other places, the Samosa chat is also very good. Food is excellent quality,tasty and at reasonable price.

Stuffed Mushroom : Crispy friend mushrooms stuffed with veggies, piping hot! Taste rating 5/5

Gobi Manchurian: Crispy florets in a tangy sauce 4/5

Dips: Mint and a sweet variety 5/5 spot on!!

Samosa: Non greasy, yummy filling! 4/5

Not recommend at all. No order system. They don't Know who order and whom to served.
And remaining look at the photos.

Good for sweets. Panipuri don t try. It s too much sweet.

I really hope the owner of this place reads this review if he wants to Improve the business.

There is a Lot of Negative Vibe on the Front counter No smile No apology's the guy at front counter looks like he need some sort of training in the area of customer service.

Just Going to this place because of the Food but can't Take this Negativity any more will go the place which is other side of the street from now

for the vegetarian sweets and savouries ... would have liked to see healthier (lo fat, sugar) options.

Went there during a week day in the evening. Just few people were there. Everything was fast. Coming to the important part, the food. It's the second Indian restaurant I went to in Christchurch. And it was better than expected. Exact taste from India and not kiwi oriented. Will be going in again. More update to follow.

This is a sweet shop combined restaurant with limited dinning space. The food was amazing. I ordered veg thali and tandoori mushroom. The thali came with 2 subji, raita, a small portion of jeera rice, naan, onion and pickle. The taste was good. The onion piece were not fresh and pickle was good. The spices in subji were in right proportion. Tandoori mushroom was good. It came with mint chutney and sweet chutney. Overall tasty food.

Really amazing Dosa at reasonable prices. Service was great and friendly. It was busy for a Monday and had quite a long wait for food, and the place was a bit understaffed. Restaurant was a wee bit cold. Till efficiency was a bit slow. Would definitely go again.

The worst of the worst experience i ever have. Everytime they are so poor in service. This time it was so quiet and we were only three guests in the restaurant though they took one hour to serve . Completely waist of time.

I ordered the paneer paratha and a sweet lassi.I found the paneer parantha surprisingly good though the lassi was a bit too sweet for my liking but it was creamy and not bad overall.My only recommendation to the restaurant will be too improve the customer service in terms of speed of delivery of food.overall a pleasant experience.thanks.

Very nice and authentic indian food available, we visit this restaurant and sweet shop almost every week.

Initially walked in to buy the sweet's. Ended up ordering 3 plate pani puri. Was such a big let down with the pani puri. Very less stuffing, cold, and hard puri. The staff was apologetic, but then again! we paid $5 for one plate. No refund offered, only asked if we wanted another plate of "cold" pani puri again. Overall didn't see any initiative from the staff. Had to walk up to the counter to give order for the food. Very slack service. Giving one start for the sweet's we had.

Very poor service. Waited for an hour. No order ready .. they wanted us to wait another 10 minutes. Not recommend place especially if u are having kids. Noted give priority to take away orders no priority to customers waiting for their food. It's happened twice to us.not good place to dine in.

There were so many options for vegetarians and the price is reasonable.

Long wait more than 30min from the time of order even though there were not many ppl..Ordered Veg Fried Rice and dint feel fresh nor taste good Need to improve the Customer service.

Me and my friend had some foods and sweets two days earlier this Thursday including Masala Dosa and the sambar they served with that was tasting off. And I told the guy at the counter that it doesn t taste alright and have a taste yourself in case if you think we are wrong. Instead he went to the kitchen and asked the chef and came with an answer it was because of the Tamarind they use in it. But me and my friend had been experiencing stomachache from the following morning till today.
I don t know what to say but when the food tastes off we don t just say because to give silly reason. This should be taken into consideration very carefully. People s health is important. So I had very bad experience in my first visit of the shop.

Had breakfast here on Easter Monday. All of our meals were amazing. Staff was friendly. Highly Recommended.

Lunch thali we tried had chilli paneer, kadhi-pakora, raita and 2 massive tandoori rotis just for $15.
Absolutely loved it.

This is a relatively new restaurant and we gave it a go for having lunch and we were not disappointed. Tried the paneer curry with naan and dal makhani and it was delicious. Must try place. Also, seems to be the only Indian sweets shop in the area.

Visiting from Australia. Would have tried at least 100 plus restaurants (Australia and NZ) in last 15 years. Best indian vegetarian by far. Thanks for your food and service.

Good food by bit more expensive than othet indian restaurant

Waited by the door 20 mins as it shows that they open at 10am knocked the door tried to call but not one answered very bad on the service need to open the restaurant on time if you guys wanna be in the business

Authentic Indian food in a clean and modern setting.

Everything was great and delicious! Excellent service and friendly staff.

I often buy desserts from here so recommended a friend to go with me and try it out...all went smooth till I paid and got over charged for a small portion of dessert!! I don't mind paying the money but at least inform customers that you charge extra when they dine in and get average customer service. Sad to say I won't be setting foot here again. Wasn't shown any empathy by the staff instead I got told that it happens with everybody. I hope you work on your customer communication skills a bit more guys! Really disappointed !!
