Wow.... avoided this place for a long time expecting it to be, another overpriced farm shop, or an overpriced tourist honey pot. Well I have to openly admit they proved me wrong. Some items were abit posh and expensive. BUT the fresh More

Came here after visiting the gardens for some lunch but found the restaurant to be closed for an event so settled for the tea room. The food on the menu is pretty basic and when we went to order some sandwiches from the menu we were told we can only have what's one-made on the counter (which was almost nothing!) So the menu was rather pointless and we had to settle for sandwiches we didn't want... Much to our surprise though we then found other people getting served freshly made sandwiches! Terrible food and terrible service! I would avoid if you can!
Shop contains excellent selection of local, high quality food. Staff is friendly and efficient. Meat, cheeses (deli) and bakery were particularly appreciated in our visit.
Wonderful place with a great atmosphere; particularly the shop! Super helpful staff and the ice cream parlour makes a great addition, especially love the chilly cow! Highly recommended for specialised goods, maybe not the everyday shop, but a high quality, unique shopping environment!
We ate at the restaurant. We hadn't booked, but there were plenty of tables. We had the children with us, and the waiters opening gambit was to tell us that they 'don't have a childrens menu', which came across as slightly rude. The More
After discovering Bodnant Welsh Food online, I thought I would take a day trip to see what the place was like. The food shop was fantastic, I bought some of their sausages and their beer bacon to try out, very nice indeed.
Stayed for a coffee and biscuits at their cafe which was very nice indeed, fantastic scenery from the courtyard to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.
After my lovely visit, I tried their online delivery service and ordered a selection of steaks, burgers, sausages and bacon, they contacted me to say that one of the items I had ordered would not be in stock in time for the delivery but would be available the next day if I was able to wait, I said that would be acceptable, as a thank you they even added an extra packet of bacon which I thought was a nice touch. The delivery arrived on the day they agreed on, everything was well packaged and chilled perfectly in a cool box. The order did not last long every piece of meat was very nice indeed, I shall be ordering again.
Go and visit and go online and order, you will not be disappointed.
Get their reward card if you think you will be ordering on a regular basis!
Our meal at Bodnant Welsh foods was a mixed affair. To start, the service was terrible, although it was accurate, the phrase "service with a smile" has obviously never made it here! I have never felt like an inconvenience whilst in such nice surroundings before. The food was ok, the soup was very nice and tasted homemade, the kids food was a little overpriced but very good, the let down was the homemade pizza. The pizza base was great, the cheese and toppings were good, but the tomato sauce was rubbish and dragged the whole pizza down
Great location overlooking River Conwy.Comprises resturaunts tearooms and large food hall with many fresh and local products the bead and cakes looked especially tasty.Main resturaunt now does Sunday lunch which we will be joining.
Fantastic range of local food at reasonable prices. It's all excellent quality and the staff answer any questions with a good knowledge of the products.
Happy friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is good quality and perfectly cooked. The dining area seems clean and well presented. My wife and I preferred to eat our breakfast here rather than use the hotel we were staying at even though it was well rated.
A huge thank you to Janice in the Bakery for making the most gorgeous birthday cake for my partner's 50th. He absolutely loved it, as did everyone else, so none left:(
I'd really struggled to find someone to make it and I'm so glad I thought to call the Bodnant Bakery. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and can't recommend them enough - thank you again:)
Very disappointed. I don't like to give a bad review (especially to a local Welsh business) but the service was appalling, the food not as advertised and absolutely over priced.
What a hidden gem! Delicious food, we were especially fond of the stir-fries that you could take away to cook at home! Also, the milkshakes were delicious! A great selection of delicious Welsh produce! It is definitely worth a visit.
We live quite locally near Llanrwst and cannot believe I have never been here before. The grounds are well kept and they have there own restaurant. Which by the way serves amazing food, all locally sourced. The staff were kind, the place was spotless and the service was fast.
We stopped in both the bee shop and the farmers market. My god what a range of things they have!! The size of the leeks was a sight to see as well as the selection of local cheeses.
Totally recommend coming here. We left with a big bag of locally sourced food.
Great food. Home made afternoon tea. Got groupon voucher, otherwise quite expensive but very good quality homemade food. Reservations in advance. Very helpful and we had 2 in our party with food allergies. They were fantastic. Definitely recommend it.
Also a farm shop. Great fresh local produce and craft. Again not cheap but extremely good quality for treat or gifts.
The old buildings have been well renovated and the location is nice. Hence the only star..... for the buildings and view.
Thats it ! In general, shelves aren't exactly well filled, the food for sale is mediocre, and the bread was sold out ! Cheese wasn't vegetarian, which means rennet is used. Supermarket cheese carries the V logo
Welsh feel about the place? no more central Manchester ish If you were to visit an authentic Indian restaurant, you often feel you are IN India, but this place is about as Welsh as KFC Wander through the place, perhaps have a tea or coffee in the cafe, but don't expect it to look or feel like you are in Wales ( apart for the view )
Bodnant welsh food has an excellent farm shop at terrific prices, some that even beat local supermarkets. The meat from the butcher in there is of the highest quality and would recommend. The honey shop stocks many varieties of honey and the staff throughout are very friendly and helpful. I hope to try the cafe & restaurant very soon!
Delicious coffee, but unfortunately the two milk shakes appeared to be made from nesquick. Probably the slowest and least attentive service I have ever experienced. This is a shame as the setting is lovely.
We have been to Bodnant Welsh food previously and the food has been good. Today we went and my other half ordered the goats cheese salad. On this occasion the salad was poor. A very small amount of goats cheese which had been crumbled and big dollops of balsamic glaze. They seemed to be under staffed. In fairness the staff were working hard. The salad was returned untouched and nothing was offered. My meal, creamed mushrooms was fine. I finished my meal and still no replacement for the salad so we asked for refund. We weren't the only disappointed customers. Two other customers returned beefburgers as they were cold in the centre. Such a shame as we had enjoyed eating there before.
A great farm shop/ deli with caffe and Resturant attached. A lot of parking but you have to keep an eye open for it as the entrance is not that obvious.
We called in on the fourth day after they reopened, it was quiet but it was to be expected, we had something from the breakfast menu, I had the scotch pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup, definitely not your pre packaged stuff, my wife had the small breakfast which was of a similarly high standard, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The new owners deserve to succeed as the improvement in decor and menus has been long overdue.
We were away for a short break in Llandudno last month and I decided we would pay this place a visit. My wife was not keen on visiting a "Supermarket" as she called it. On our arrival the first thing you get are the stunning views of the lake and when we got in I could not get my wife to leave. A fantastic mixture of local produce, wines, spirits, drygoods and an excellent cafe to boot. You can also stay here and we intend to do this in the new year.
We went to visit the tea room and various shops, very nice cafe with a good selection of cakes and decent coffee. Good value fresh produce in the farm shop, felt the selection of cheese was lacking, and some things have a higher mark up than other places nearby, but still a nice selection.
Wine selection in the wine cellar is very good at very good prices; as well as a very helpful member of staff there. Only qualm would be label arrangement makes it difficult to read, but as long as you you a bit of time to peruse, or indeed ask the people who work there, then that's all fine.
Fresh bread & meat, made & produced locally. Other than that, the other products can be bought anywhere else. Clean & well set out. but not much stock out on shelves.
Stopped off as was passing to see what there was. Ended up having a meal here, although not that cheap it wasnt too expensive if you look at some of the specials boards there are good value meals to be had. Food was good but was a bit of a wait considering it wasn't a busy time.
