They are a hole in the wall but a staple of 45 years. The torpedo sandwich I love takes me back to going to lunch with my mom.

One of the best delis around! Family owned and operated for nearly 2 decades and they even make their own sausage and meatballs for some of their dishes!

I attended a Hidden Gems meeting with Envision La Mesa today at BMH Italian and the sandwich was great. The bread was freshly made and the roast beef was hot and juicy. There is a good selection of sodas and a section of Italian foods if you want to take home some goods. The service was quick. The owner is a good guy and he brought around some cannoli. Definitely a place I will re-visit to try some other types of sandwiches. He also has salads and soup.

I wish i could have taken a picture of how glorious my sub was. But alas it did not last.
Service was super friendly, food was prepared super fast. Super charged flavor and their secret sauce was was the piece de resistance! Move over subway, sit down jersey mikes! For my first time there it has literally taken the #1 spot for subs in my heart.

My favorite sub sandwich place and it's family owned and operated. If you haven't already been here give it a try. Don't forget the "mommas love juice".

When it comes to my Italian sandwiches I won't go anywhere else but here. Maria is a sweetheart she works too hard she worries too much but she makes awesome food. I will buy my lunch's from BMH just try it and you will see why I gave 5 stars better than that you will taste why I gave 5 stars bmh always

Have been enjoying their sub sandwiches for many years. We usually get the torpedo but today we got the chicken parm hot sub. The roll is nice and fresh and there is plenty of chicken cut 8nto strips. It has the right amount of marinara sauce with melted cheese on top. Good stuff!

Been coming here since grade school at St. Martin's Academy days. Mama Lina and her fresh bread and lemon ice. Sandwiches now are smaller. Their pasta salad is good as is their tiramisu. The owner and ladies that work there are hot and cold... more often than not... cold. If I didn't live so close, we probably wouldn't visit as often.

Fresh bread, fun people working there. Spectacular food. Hard to get there in time after work, but worth the rush, for sure.

Great sandwiches and "mamma juice" is super yum!! Place could use a face lift, but don't let that deterr you! This is a graet place!!

Needed cannoli shells. Called BMH, they said, " we have them get here early". I was there when they opened... no cannoli shells. They said, "come back at 1pm". Yeah, no thanks.

I have been coming to this place for YEARS. I always loved this place and frequently visited. The older guy always has a poor attitude. Today, he was short staffed and decided to handle the register and make my sandwich without washing his hands. I asked him if he washed his hands and he lied right to my face. It was pretty disgusting. After I told him that I didn't want the sandwich anymore, he put the meat back into the pile. I cant imagine what goes on behind closed doors. I will no longer visit this place and I will report the place to the health department.

I would rated a 5 ,but honestly the last couple of times I was there . I received horrible customer service . The cashier was approaching without a mask in this times . She didn't even acknowledge my presence and really rude demeanor. I felt that she was doing me a favor. I did not get her name , I am sure Im not the first to receive this service.Torpedos are good.

I was excited to see the good reviews because the outside of this place is a bit scary looking. Look, this place was barely okay. My babysitters were Italian and I regularly visit Little Italy. I think they should too. Food was not passable. We got bad heartburn after. I recommend Mona Lisa deli sandwiches in Little Italy. Hands down.

Look no further for really great Italian subs, torpedoes, and pastries.

Good fresh food. Had eggplant parmigiana sandwich and lobster bisque soup. Very well made, and obviously in house rather than canned. My husband had their sausage sandwich and antipasto salad. Will definitely be back.

Cute little spot to stop in and grab a legit deli sandwich. All the coldcuts and cheeses were top notch, and the meatballs/marina in the meatball sub were fantastic. If I was on the way home I would have pick d up one of their house made frozen dinners, so I guess that just means I'll be going back very soon!

BMH is know for their Italian sub sandwiches, but I go once a week for the best grilled chicken salad around! Sammy and his crew are the best!

You ever go to a sandwich place and they say that their rolls are homemade but what they mean is they use some corporate food service "roll mix" to make their rolls in house. Well this place is NOT that! This place is the real deal! If you judge a sandwich by the bread it's on then you will love this place. The rolls taste like they are made from scratch! The people that work their are salt-of-the-earth nice. Atmosphere is East coast sandwich shop. I can't say enough about this place. You'll love it.

This place is awesome! Sandwiches are long as hell and delicious. And make sure you grab some pasta salad and a couple sodas out of the freezing cold fridge before you leave. Plus the service was fast, efficient, and very nice. Will be returning again for sure. I think I just found a new regular spot

Great deals, delicious sandwiches, very friendly service. The prosciutto and cheese stuffed peppers are a real treat and compliment the sandwiches nicely. They make their own fresh bread!
