I am SOOOO glad to cut ties with this bank . Talk about dodgy. Surprised they don t charge a fee just for talking to them like they do for everything else. Rates are not competitive at all. Went through them initially because of their Deposit Assist when building our house- that access was the only good thing about them. Be prepared to totally manage your own accounts, make corrections and demand information in writing- oh and be talked down to and talked over all the time. For such a small team you would think they could work together and have flawless communication but no, that s too much to ask. Their homeloan set up initially is not user friendly at all, online facilities are SO outdated and their discharge process was painful. Every time I re-arranged my loan (consolidated, fixed, discharged) I was not advised of all of the fees I would be up for and also interest rates were not honoured. Eg- a request to fix my loan was actioned based on the interest rate at the time. Paperwork arranged and signed...interest rates then changed prior to paperwork being processed. How convenient and not even mentioned until I asked why my confirmation letter were stating a different rate. Indicative figures were well off the mark for discharge settlement leaving me out of pocket (because of their non disclosed fees)...I may have lost out there but the money I will save being with an actual reputable bank where I have a better chance of them taking accountability for their actions will satisfy me a lot more. I now understand why the staff turnover there is high. There is a few more that need to move on too, seriously lacking in customer service.
EDIT: and be very concerned about your privacy! The level of incompetence is laughable. I just received an email trail from BlueBay to their solicitors (MSA) regarding another clients loan.
