Having booked a deluxe room with sea view, on arrival we were disappointed to discover that not all sea views are created equal. We complained to the very pleasant lady at the desk who said she would try and get us a change from the next night. Somewhat sceptical I resigned myself to a very limited view and disappointment. Next morning... Room change is available. Vast improvement. Top tip... When booking try and stipulate you don't want a room in the end of the building.
The room is spacious, but very limited in places to put clothing. Tray of Greek delights (advertised as part of what you get in a deluxe room).... In the rubbish room this consisted of a basic fruit bowl. In the better room, there was none. Tea and coffee facilities, kettle, two cups, two tea bags, two coffee, two sugar and two of the smallest milk pods I've ever seen.
The mini bar is expensive and there are specific instructions that anything of your own that you put in will be removed by the cleaning staff.
Bathroom is fine, walk in shower allows bathroom floor to get wet. Hairdryer is quite good, but in our room fitted quite high up.
Otherwise, hotel is a bit shabby in places, but otherwise comfortable. Breakfast can be hit and miss in terms of the hot food. Get ready for a walk up the stairs unless you want to spend ages waiting for one of the two tiny lifts at busy times.
The pool is clean, not many beds available and although it has a no reservations rule, doesn't seem to do much about those who insist on claiming a bed first thing in the morning. (If I ran a hotel, those people would have their towels shredded and be run out of town).
Overall, a nice hotel, close to the town, great sea views (see above) exceptional staff service at the desk.
