I have never lived in an area that has had the power go out on us more than this one. Any little storm or wind can knock the power out. We have been without power for almost 3 days now and our neighbors and people near by who have Duke have power.....probably never went out of power. Even the power lines look different....they are run down looking and weak. They know we have no choice on what company we get so what motivates them to do better?? Nothing. Guess we will have yo continue with mediocracy.

Our bill is always so expensive compared to Duke. When I tell people who have Duke what our bill is they almost hit the floor. My friends bill with Duke is only $40 a month. Our bill is never below $180 and in summer/winter months its $280-$350 a month. When we leave for work daily nothing is on except the refrigerator/freezer. We wash in cold water. We leave lights off. My parents live alone and do not cook or have a dryer and lucky if their bill is ever below $200. Just doesn't seem right to me.

These people are especially creepy because they pretend they are good people and trying to serve the customer. It is all in their own minds because they are all about ripping off the customer and causing customers as much trouble as possible. If I could have given them a negative rating I would have done so.

Their online payment is not working properly!! After I set up auto-pay, it still not able to charge, and I have to set up again using a different card, the charge failed again!! I am sure my card is able to pay because when I manually hit the payment bottom, the payment did go through.

Now, it is also very difficult to login to their system to pay the bill, because their system is always maintained during night time, and only be able to access after 2:30 am!!

Okay, so now after a few payment failure, I got derogatory in my credit history and it hurts my credit score very badly. I won't choose Blue ridge ever again.

All the customer service ladies are very polite and helpful but here's the issue: You will stay on hold FOREVER before you can speak to anyone. I called today and was on hold for 54mins. That's just ridiculous. There are plenty of people that need jobs and are willing to work! For God's sake, hire more help if you are that busy.

I love the people that work there. I had been with them for 20 years. They have always been helpful. Any time I need more time they are willing to give me time. We work together. They know that I always do what I saw I will do. If the power goes out for weather ,or anything they fix it quickly. They work hard.

These people will nickel and dime you to death, even in the middle of a global pandemic. I got bills from this place for pay periods after the lease for my apartment had already expired; I was no longer living in that apartment and had no way of even receiving the bills. Instead of calling me or notifying me of the balance in any way, they just sent my info to a debt collector. Save yourself the hassle and use Duke Energy instead.
