Intimate playhouse there doesn't seem to be a bad seat. We loved it.

What a spectacular show! Im not sure I've ever laughed so hard in my life. I had tears in my eyes and a perpetual smile with these guys who not only played awesome music, but also told a delightful story with aweing amounts of color! One thing to note. Don't be late to the show!!
Had VIP tickets to see the show and it blew my mind. I think every person should see blue man group at least once in their lifetime.
This show is amazing and so much fun! Not what I expected at all. Small venue that allows for full audience participation. Gotta see this!!
Great show! Got seat upgrades and were able to sit first row
I saw them in 2012 and again in 2019. The show was similar. Not much had changed in 7 years. When they played their drum instruments the beat never changed. 2 and a half hours of the same beat. I thought is was a reggaeton concert.
It was amazing, my son enjoyed it so much as did I.
We had people in our group ages 6 to 66 and they all loved it
I went in hoping to be wow-ed. While I was mildly amused, I was definitely not wow-ed. The percussion portions were great but the audience interaction was pretty boring.
This was so fun and is such cultural icon. Everyone needs to go with friends at least once.
Fantastic, different, and so much fun... Can't wait to do it again.
This was not the show I expected, all the promos emphasize thier musicical performances, but about half the show was taken up with bits, some funny some less so, but nothing terribly entertaining or original. My understanding from talking with people who have seen past show, this is not the norm. You may want to skip this show and wait for the next version.
After 15 years not much is new. What they do, they do well. Too scary for young children there. Not as exciting as I remember. You may have better luck.
The Blue Man Group puts on a fun show! There's music, comedy, drama, and surprises! It's great for all ages a d all tastes!
It's a small theater so literally no seat is not a decent seat. It's a fun time for all!
Very disappointing. Seats had blocked view of upper stages. When we asked to move to better seats that were unoccupied we were told that we would have to pay more to upgrade.
A must see while in Boston with kids, as it's a wonderful family friendly option for kids aged 10+. A good tip for getting cheap tickets is to go the day of, an hour or so beforehand for "rush tickets", not guaranteed you'll get in as there is typically a crowd. Located in heart of Boston, perfect for a day show, and then afterwards going for food or shopping in the area. It's a fun show based on light and sound--a very sensory experience with comedic tones, but definitely for a younger crowd.
was an excellent show and unexpected performance, absolutely amazing
So much fun, easy to get to and plenty of parking nearby.
Loved this show. It was really funny and entertaining.
Love me some Blue Man Group. This Boston location is their long time home and it's a nice small venue. Walking distance from the Boston Commons and nearby plenty of restaurants.
Fun show. Strong performances from the actor/musicians.
Fun time lots of laughs & very exciting, GREAT CROWD INTERACTION WITH THE CROWD
This show was absolutely amazing... So much better than I could have anticipated! The collaboration between the stage performers, the band, camera crew, lighting and sounds was 100% on point. I loved the way they interacted with the audience... it was one surprise after the next. I highly recommend this to anyone and all ages, there is just no way to not enjoy this show!
Some obstructed views during the show but what we saw was very good.
What an amazing show! It had great music but the comedy was the best part!
Lovely performance, definitely worth the time and money. I do have to say the following: 1. May be triggering if you are dysphoric as they do film the audience and you will likely see yourself on the big screen up front. 2. May be triggering if you have Misophonia. 3. If you're epileptic or have issues with strobe lights you WILL want to let them know and if possible step out during the last two warnings. I was alerted, had my eyes shut and my head angled down and I could still kind of see the last two through my eyelids even with my hands over my eyes. I did otherwise enjoy myself.
I took my 10 year old granddaughter! We loved the show!!!!
Super fun! We didn't know what to expect but we really enjoyed the show! We drove from Cape Cod (where we were vacationing) to see the show. We always heard great things about the show and we lucked out that they were in Boston the same weekend we were in the area. If you don't want to get splashed don't get seats close up!
We were in front row and I thought it was a pretty good show. I would recommend seeing it if your in the area and have some time to spare.
This is the best show in Boston, hands down. Wonderful time to be had by all, kids, adults, college students. The Charles Playhouse is in need of some renovation, but that is true for all the theaters in Boston. Many thanks to the professional staff of Blue Man who make all the magic possible and thank you for the memories!
Very fun concert. Good audience integration, humor, and music. Very exited to go again!
This may be my 5th time seeing the Blue Man Group over the years, and it never gets old. Lots of younger kids this time who seemed to be having a blast too!
Not as exciting as everyone mentioned but worth seeing if never been before
Very interactive .. Had a great date night... Felt it ended way to soon, just because that's how much we had a great time..
Hard to explain to someone who has never seen them, but one of the greatest shows on earth!
An amazing group with a ton of fun for our whole family.
Had a family outing over winter break and thought our kids (7 & 6) would enjoy it. Very funny performance and although it was a bit of sensory overload for our 6 year old, everyone had a great time and enjoyed it!
I haven t seen this show in about 20 years so I was pleasantly surprised I was still entertained. Most of it was as I remembered but it was nice to see updated material. Sad they removed the bit where the audience sang a long to White Rabbit.
Great for families. Meet and greet the blue man after the show. Kids really enjoyed. We all laughed out loud!
This BMG is an old staple in our Boston area. Still amazes me every time I see it. Like to see them add more to their current venue.
Low level humor and expensuve tickets...
This is not the show to see in boston
The show was awful and absolutely not worth the money. We had heard so much about it so booked expensive tickets over the Thanksgiving weekend to see it with two teenage kids. However, half of the time, we weren't able to figure out what they were even doing (The performers spent a lot of time standing around and staring) and the other half was spent being less than amused at their "comedy" acts. We were completely bored and even considered leaving a couple of times but having spent so much, stayed on hoping for something spectacular to come up.At the end there was a blinding flashing of lights which more than being entertaining was a trigger for migraine. The show may be okay for really young kids but not sure the strange humor would be appreciated by that age group either. I would say save your money and spend it some place else.
Blue man at the original Boston location is always a good time
OMG, an amazing performance would recommend to anyone. Very interactive, and exciting. Great for groups!!!
Very entertaining. Good crowd interaction. Surprised at how amusing and clever the performance was.
Blue Man Group is a great experience. I've been twice - once in Las Vegas, and, once in Boston. There are enough similarities to know you will enjoy it, and, enough differences to make it feel fresh. I took some out of town family, found some seats in the front row, and really got into it. My family left with a smile and nothing but good things to say.
If you're looking for a great show for all ages that is both exciting and entertaining then you won't be disappointed with the Blue Man Group. It's also still good if you and/or your guests don't speak/understand English well. Really a show for everyone. Not a dull moment throughout.
This is our second visit, after a 19 year gap! A lot more participatory now as well as more use of visual media other than the human body and paint. Still many aha moments when you get them.
Great entertaining performance by really skilled group of folks
Hilarious and creative show featuring great music and comedy.
We had a terrible experience. The tickets are expensive and not worth one cent of it. The jokes are dry, nobody laughed in the audience (forced if any). I hope this post helps tourists to Boston avoid this tourist trap. :(
Great show.. my wife and I took my 14 year old and her friend.. they smiled and laughed the whole time... highly recommend to do
We went this past weekend and loved this show! My son definitely got a kick out of the blue men and he liked the photo op they provided at the end. Small theater, but definitely made the performance feel a bit more intimate.
I cracked up so hard evenough when they use a Michigan product as a prop of awesomeness
I enjoyed the performance ... lots of physical comedy and good music! The act includes lots of streamers and I couldn't help but wonder if that all gets thrown out after every show.
Took our 3 and 6 year olds with us and they loved it. (Minimum age is 3 FYI). They provided headphones and booster seats for the kids too. They updated the show a little since we first saw them, maybe 8 years ago, in Boston. Arrive a little early because there is an interactive exhibit in the lobby.
