HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. Do not get insurance through BCBS. If you re able to choose a different provider, please do it. I have the best possible insurance with them and for five psychiatrist appointments I owe $450. They never seem to cover any medication either. My accident ambulance ride was also thousands of dollars. Greedy and money hungry. They deserve 0 stars

We took our waitress' suggestion and ordered the Cuban Sandwich and cheese grits. It was awesome.

Impossible to ever get a representative to speak with you. They constantly hide behind automated voice services and when they call you back just hang up the phone.
Very friendly and articulate. Had a major issue with a third party vendor. BCBSAZ quickly gave me the information I needed to help solve the problem. I have been with BCBSAZ some 13 years, never disappointed.
If I could give this insurance company a negative star I would! I have had no choice with company's as they are the only available in Cochise County. Both times that I have had to renew my prescription they consistently cannot find referrals and authorizations, always blaming the doctors. I have tried to file a complaint twice only to be told the complaint goes in a box and I will not get a response as they deal with it "internally". Please stay as far away from this company as possible!!
It s been a nightmare trying to get them to cover services provided last year when I gave birth to my son. We ve had BCBS in the past and been so happy with them. I would not recommend them anymore.
The absolute worst example of private healthcare in America. No primary care provider within 20 miles on a plan that costs well over 1k per month with a nearly 7k deductible. Disgusting, profit-hungry corporation that needs to be run to the ground.
Worst call center I have ever dealt with, don't bother calling in they will take 20 mintues to answer any question you have and you can be sure it will be wrong
Nurse in charge of priorautorization case importance thinks she is smarter than my doctor. Changed the priority my doctor sent over as urgent to routine. Not going with Blue Cross next year.
Horrible experience! They just can't seem to get it right and just blame everyone else for all their failures. Use anyone a different insurance company at all cost.
I guess it could be worse. I m not sure how but I guess they could kill you directly instead of delaying coverage.

TOTAL SCAM! As with most health insurance, the deadline to sign up is Dec. 31. So we researched the company and what they pay for, etc. and signed up. Well, ONE WEEK into the new year, they changed the benefits!!! ONE WEEK! There is no possible way a big company like that changes benefits in a week, so they knew this was coming when we signed up, but they didn't tell anyone. The change was made January 10, and the letter telling us of the change was dated January 20. TOTAL FRAUD! BCBS, who has never met me, decided that I needed 1 low-dose tablet of a medication when my Board Certified doctor who has seen me all year believes I need 3 tablets per day. So, BCBS is effectively changing my scripts without doctor permission. Pitiful! Scam! Do NOT use!!!!
If you have a choice I would not choose them. I understand most of us are limited by what our employer contracts. However, I am a cancer survivor, first diagnosed in 2015. In remission since Jan, 2019 after Car-t cell therapy.I have had many treatments and many insurance companies over these past 5 years and not once was I ever denied a treatment ordered by my Oncologist... until now.
BCBS of Illinois never one denial for anything.
BCBS of California never one denial.
And Ive had A Lot of test, treatments, scans, biopsies, IVIG tratments, and transfusions,
etc, never one denial

These people need to get a life they call this warehouse 7-8 times a week and use false names to look as if they are someone else, are they that hard up for customers?
Switched plans plans in Dec through marketplace but BCBS couldn't get my account right after 3 months and several phone calls so I canceled my plan now I'm still being auto charged for two months even after customer service said they would send a refund check.
The company culture apparently approves rudeness, hangups, patronizing, plus untrained personnel and the excuses are a mile long for lack of good service.
Self pay & going up $1280.00 for two people. Rip off cuz they can!
BCBS of AZ s idea of medical necessity is that you are on your death bed...denied my toddlers food for his feeding tube because you can buy it over the counter...he gets it through a G-tube in his belly. They denied my wife s SECOND dose of Stelara, the first was easily approved by Aetna (had to switch because my company did for 2019). I expect a business to be a business and do what they have to do to profit, but damn....I am lucky enough that my wife went back to work so, we would get different insurance, any insurance has to be better than this. I just really feel for people that have worse health conditions, that have to worry about what medical necessity is to bcbs on top of everything else that they have to deal with.
BCBS of AZ , was told by one of their nurses that my bariatric proceedure was covered 100% and then afterwards receive a bill for $7000 from hospital. Then when I appeal they deny me. wonder how many others this has happened to. I'm getting a lawyer!!!
Terrible. They owe me money from copays that never deducted from my max out of pocket. Never get to talk to the manager. They've spent 7 months "researching" the issue.
Eye center was quick, friendly, and some of the lowest prices I have seen.
I called to talk to them about them dropping the insurance but there holding it up so that we can't get other insurance because of there red flags on the account !! They were very rude and trying to control the conversation by bullying !!!!
Don't waste your time on their web site looking for a doctor, information is old and out dated. All these people really do is collect information, if they can't get that right then I wonder what they can get right? Plus none of their reviews are responded to so they don't care what anybody thinks about them. Health care is an ugly business these days.
I am not a customer of Blue Cross Blue Shield. However this morning I saw about 10 volunteers between 23rd Ave and Dunlap to 23rd Ave and Butler picking up trash. That was amazing! What an awesome way to help and uplift a community. Kudos!
