Staff is extremely rude and they don t even really do their job! On one of the slides my son slid out the bottom of the raft and went under and the guard didn t even flinch but son couldn t get his footing and my husband is the one who ended up helping him while the guard watched. Throughout our time their my husband also helped scoop up two kids because no one was helping them get from under the water. The ones at the wave pool were on point and did their job well but the ones at the bottom of the slides were rude and didn t pay attention. I love this park , their slides are unique but they need maintenance! One slide had holes in it, theirs some with patches, and the wooden stairs are rotted and uneven . If their staff had better regard for life and more friendly along with some maintenance to this place .... I d return .... until then no thanks

Have to have a tube to use lazy river can t just get in without one like other water parks. If you don t rent a tube for five dollars you have to wait in line at the lazy river for a tube to become free and can only go around once they make you get out and get back in line. Food is cheap. Only plus. Can t have alcohol around the park can only consume it where you buy. Save your money go to a nice water park if you want a great experience if you want just a mediocre experience then come here.

The park is great for adults and kids but nothing is perfect. Let me give the run down....make sure you have $5 cash for parking. Bring a coke can to get $5 off entry fee. It helps. The ground is rough as hell and blazing hot so make sure you have some type of swim shoes or flip flops or socks. Do not bring food or drinks in the park as they will check your bags and make you either throw it away or you can go bring it to your vehicle. They do allow bottles of water but nothing else. Instead of paying their food prices which really weren't too bad at one place...put an ice chest in your trunk and fill it with drinks and sandwiches. The workers were attentive and the water slides are awesome. They have quite a few places for parents to take their little children too which was very nice. There+ is multiple lifeguards at every slide and swimming spot so if your teenager wants to wonder around with their friends...they will be fine. Overall a great trip with the family. If I can think of anything else I'll edit my post. Bring sunscreen!

Life guards take their job seriously over here, just about every one of them didn't take their eyes off of their zone. Only thing that was disappointing were the storms that passed by closing the park momentarily, which is understandable. The week prior they also gave free vouchers to return the following week because of how bad the weather got. My advice is to check the weather for no rain at all to get the most out of your experience here.

FIRST, the lines to get in are way too long to and you're standing in the sun on black concrete I MENTION THIS because TWO people fainted in line and the paramedics came. Another lady fainted in line at the large tunnel/funnel water ride. Many of the rides were closed. Long lines for the rides. The lazy river is small and the day we went the water was low. Worth the money if you go to the amusement park.

This was the worst customer experience of my life....

This was the worst customer experience of my life. The park was understaffed and overcrowded, and the employees were lost and not helpful at all. I spent $120 on 3 tickets and drove 2 hours and regret every cent and second of it. We also spent 2 hours just in the line to get into the park. While they can't help that the ride lines were long, they only had one attendant at the food ticket stand and the line for food tickets was nearly 30 minutes long. Nowhere could accept cash or credit. We stayed for 3 hours and were only able to ride two rides in that whole time. We did find one relief: the kid's pirate cove. However, one lifeguard made us leave because we did not have children. A fair point, but by that point we were so fed up that we stormed out of the park. I ended up paying out of my nose for heatstroke. I will NEVER come back and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone ever.

I went there 2 weeks ago and brought my teenage boys. I will say we enjoyed it we wenter on a Wednesday it was not crowded. My problem that I had was once you enter the park you have to stop and get your bags checked. Well the employees that are checking the bags are kids and they don't even touch your bag or look through it. They tell you to un zip it and never look through it. This is a place where alot of people is at , at one time. There is a lot of crazy people in the world and they need to make sure they are checking everyone correctly to make sure it continues to be a safe place .

So family friendly, easy to do all things if you get there at opening & stay till close.. My only complaint is that we were forced to throw away baby snacks for the 1yr old we had in our group.. Kids that age are so limited on what they can eat, seriously a single bag of Gerber puffs won't break the park bank

Working here this summer I would say was the worst...

Working here this summer I would say was the worst experience for me and as my fellow co-workers would agree. The owner s wife, Kathy Haynes, is the most rude, impolite, disrespectful woman I ve ever met. I worked in the department that she had overseen and she didn t care about us nor the well-being of the customers. She is also prejudice, she told her African Americans employees, including myself, that we were not allowed to have hair extensions at any point in the season. My point was that we work with money and it shouldn t be a problem on how we wear our hair, and also the season flows into school time, so when school starts we aren t allowed to even get our nails done. Kathy Haynes would disrespect any and all employees to not pay them what they have worked for. Today September 2, 2018 early this morning when I was placed into a food building maybe so a hour into me working she came to my station and accused me of having my phone with no evidence to proof that she had probable cause, and to make sure I didn t have my phone in my pockets or anything she taps my head to make sure of it. Then the same day hours later I called in to my supervisors and told them I felt sick she accuse me of faking and told me if I didn t come into work the following day, September 3rd that I will not be getting my bonus check. And may I just add that the park is infested with rodents. The break room where the co-workers are forced to sit and eat at have had many encounters with the rodents. They are in most of the big food buildings, and if you do try to make a difference and tell someone that has power they ll just say, You re going to be fine It s okay as long as they don t bite you,you re fine , they seriously don t care about the public and the food and the prices that are in the park are a ripoff. You waste your hard earned money to come to Blue Bayou then I feel sorry for you.

Blue Bayou is a good place to cool off I guess.....The ground is the worst , it tore up the bottom of my feet to the point were I wanted to shed tears. Yes I could have just bought water shoes but we were on a budget. A couple of life gaurds seemed like they wanted to quit , like that job was the worst. I'm mainly complaining about the ground. Also that place is really outdated!

While waiting for my 2 kids to ride the Jambalaya, I could hear the ride operators using several words of profanity in front of my children, badly enough I videoed them for over two minutes dropping "F" bombs left and right. I called for a supervisor, who called the manager of the ride operators, his name is Grant. He was apologetic but my kids commented to me that they don't want to go back. I told Grant I didn't want anything but was very disappointed.

Was told on several rides, at Dixie Landing, my son is to small in height to ride rides there. Understandably he is 47" tall and the rides he was rejected on have requirement of 48". Then we we're all witness to other kids shorter than him getting onto the rides and others getting off of the rides also shorter than my son.

There are tons of choices for people to have thing...

There are tons of choices for people to have things to do all day. Just the Wave Pool alone is quite refreshing. The Lazy River will be an excellent way to cool off and to relax during the day. All of the rides are top choice. The Mambo will get your heart racing and leave you guessing when the drop will happen, and speed you down an adrenaline rush. Lafitte's plunge will definitely leave you speechless, and you will see just fast you can fly. Awesome Twosome will be fun for two people that you probably want to ride over and over. Conja is a great adrenaline rush. Flyin' Pirogue will leave you soaring. You will want to battle your friends in a speed contest on The Racer. Mad Moccassin will make you twist and shout. Voodoo will tease you, then drop you and then spin you. The lifeguards do a good job of keeping everything in check. They have many offers for family adventure. Check out the specials. Always good to grab a locker to keep your important items. Ohhhhh, and that refreshing frozen lemonade is soooooo cool! You can even rent a tube for the day if you just want to have time to chill.
Dixie Landin' is an amusement park that will definitely take you back in time. Whether you are seeking a thrill on the roller coaster or the drop Zone ride or a cool Splash on the Splinter log flume or a good ride on the pirate or the rainbow, you will not be disappointed.
Both places have good food selections from French fries to pizza to corn dogs to cheeseburgers and more.

The pools smelled funny and made me itch. The rides were very old and had rust visible. The water in the log ride was green, did not ride. The food was awful and overpriced. The staff was neither friendly nor accommodating. I used to love this place as a kid when it was run properly, but years later they feel they can get away with this because they are the only operating amusement park within 200 miles. My only wish is that there is a major change in management, or that someplace new opens up down the road and puts this place out of business. Go take a look at this place on Google Maps. You see all that green stuff? Yeah, that's what you're swimming in.

Too expensive and its always raining. They don't offer refunds. they do allow you to come back the day after, but if you have work , children and a schedule its hard to do. The people are occasionally rude and the park employees are young teenagers so there's always something wrong and some type of miscommunication. When I called to ask if we could come back with just the one ticket, they said no, I then informed the manager one of the male workers mistakenly did not give my husband and I separate tickerd. She fussed with us and tried to convince us we were wrong. I told her that I apologise, if we can just have a receipt or something. And she refused.. But long story short, I was nice and apologised because the tickets cost too much money to lose over a fight with the parks management. We eventually found the e receipt from my husbands card and were able to go the next day

Going to state only facts.

Going to state only facts.
Outside of the park ran down where everyone hates thier job and NO ONE WILL SPEAK TO YOU ONLY ROLL THEIR EYES. Better yet one girl was a sleep on her register with a slap full drawer and outside selling tickets for food. People had to wake her. And when I asked do you take card the only words out of her mouth where "no" only cash! Faced down on the side of her arm eyes closed! OMG THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! This is how the entire day went same kind of people! LOL!! ZOMBIES IS WHAT THEY REMIND ME OF!
NO MANNERS! SO RAN DOWN! AND AS season PASS MEMBER YOU HAVE THESE ID CARDS BUT ONLY TO CARRY THIS NOVEL OF A COUPON BOOK AROUND A WATER PARK. Haha no sence!
YOU THINK YOU WOULD SMELL BLEACH AT A WATER PARK... PUFF MORE LIKE THE SMELL OF NASTY TOES! ONLY A MATTER OF TIME.
By the way my season pass tickets where giving to us and yet I still will NEVER GO BACK!

Never again. Have been coming several years, this ...

Never again. Have been coming several years, this was the last time. Park was running half staffed-despite being plenty of slides available, most were only using one at a time. Average wait was 45 minutes per slide. The owner said she couldn't control her staff calling out sick and couldn't find anyone to work there at the end of the summer. Maybe you shouldn't charge full price for a half a$$ experience. This place is dirty, paint is peeling everywhere, rusty hardware, filthy bathrooms....water slides with visible patches everywhere...Secondly, we discovered they house a CHIMPANZEE there, and we observed a group of people throwing LIT CIGARETTES into the cage. The chimp proceeded to smoke these cigarettes. Not kidding. When we confronted the owner on this, she LAUGHED and said the chimp actually does like to smoke. When we told her this was animal cruelty she changed her attitude and said she has current permits, and sent someone over to stop this behavior. Lastly, it's 2015. Why is there a huge smoking section that you have to walk through to get to the rides??? Thoroughly disgusted. It's sad, this place has potential, but until some major changes are made, we will never be back.

Overall the park is a fun experience and it's nice that they have both amusement park rides and water slides. However, staff is extremely rude and it's very overcrowded. Also, there were several bandaids and a tube of some unknown substance floating with me in the lazy river so I was not impressed. I was also surprised at the amount of people swimming in there clothes and underwear. I would defenitely recommend going on a weekday when you wouldn't have to deal with the crowdedness of the weekends.

The rides were decent. They wouldn't let parents or grandparents slide with the kids in the kids area (which when you have a 3 year old should be allowed). The park is in some serious need of renovations to the amenities. The eateries, bathrooms, gift shop, etc look like they haven't changed since the place opened. A little pricey but fun was had.

Pretty big water park. The lazy river is a little too shallow. You can only go around once with the park provided tubes. And you have to ride in/on the tube. No free swimmers. The wave pool was being worked on and closed. It had some nasty brown stuff all in the shallow end and some workers were trying to suck some stuff out of the deep end. That s kind of a disappointment. We came down from Jackson, MS with a Girl Scout troop. No way to get your group inside until all are there. Seems like you could have some sort of will call to help speed this part along.

We read the lemonade was good so we got some. And yes it s good. Cost 4 tickets (4 dollars). But seems reasonable for park food.

I will never waste my money there again! After 30 minutes of being there my daughter fell in a
unsecured access in the pirate ship. She was cut and bruised very badly. They didn't apologize
or offer a refund, they just made excuses. It was overly crowded and run by a bunch of teenagers.
It cost me $136 for 4 people to get in and we didn't even get to enjoy ourselves!
WHAT A WASTE!!!

The service is terrible. Whenever my children wanted to go on the pirate ship, a life guard pulled them over and told them they were too tall to go on it. What is the big deal with their height? Like COM'ON. I paid more than 150 dollars and all I get are my sad children complaining that they can't go on half of the rides/ slides because of their height. This problem needs to be resolved IMMEDIATELY! Finally, with Hurricane Bay, whenever you swim/ walk in the pool, there is a possible chance you can scrape your hand/ feet, so you guys might also want to fix that too.

Enjoyed the place. I like how there is a wet and dry side! Double the fun! Give the big rides, the lines were EXTREMELY long!!! But the kiddie area we're perfect for my son! I would say he had the most fun of all. The food was delicious!!!!!!! The process for food was reasonable and affordable! Fir those that don't like to walk barefoot...There really isn't anywhere to put your shoes/ flip flops as you transition from ride to ride. So swimmer's shoes would be ideal. The lazy river line was REDICULOUSLY LONG. I left and came back 1 hour later and still saw some of the same people in line!!!! Wave pool was overly crowded! Im talking people on your back and front! And last but not least.... THEY CHARGE FOR PARKING!!!! $5 OK... IM DONE

My wife and I skipped out on Blue Bayou / Dixie Landing the last couple of years but thought we would get a season pass this year and give it another try. So far it's been disappointing. The rides constantly break down on the Dixie Landing side. The restrooms are filthy. Some of the ride operators are very friendly and a supervisor or manager by the name of Julia was very kind and courteous. As for the rest of the staff, the ones who speak English I have mixed emotions about. The Mexican workers are far from helpful because they don't understand what you are asking. In conclusion, not worth a season pass price.
