Great food, great service, great setting. Visited sole bay on several occasions and the food has been exceptional everytime. It is a place I will be going back to again and again

Looked after 7 of us for a late lunch. Every one of us enjoyed it. Surprisingly good value too and was surprised when the bill arrived!

A very unassuming restaurant that just looks like a shack from outside, this restaurant was cosy and welcoming when we went in during winter. There was a wonderful selection of seafood, the beef dripping chips were amazing, as was our battered skate. Staff were friendly and service was good. Bought some fresh fish to take home as we left!

Only problem is the lack of heating at this time of year, recommend long underwear and plenty of layers. Food is excellent though.

Fantastic fresh fish shop located in the Southwold Harbour. Bought a seafood platter.... Ordered via FB and picked up the following day.... Friendly, helpful and deliciously fresh... Highly Recommeded and can't wait to see their new addition opening soon for takeaway

Great selection of fish good service.We both had lobster cooked to perfection well worth the 2 hour journey from West Mersea.Have to say ten times better than our local fish restaurant.

Mr Ts is still my favourite! Much nicer food and friendly staff. This plaice isnt a patch on Mr Ts !!

Nice atmosphere, seriously good fish/seafood, surprise find

Saw they sold dressed crabs, advertised as with chips(HUH?!).
I asked it they had bread/toast instead and had a terse response they only did chips but could have a roll instead ? Why on earth is it so hard to provide some nice bread/toasted bread to eat the crab with? I had to leave it, crab and chips is not what I wanted.

Great seafood. The dressed crab is excellent as were also the fries (cooked in beef fat).
Bit of a free-for-all to get a table outside. We managed though.

Laid back realy enjoyed ,smoked shell fish you got try this place ,

Tried this place with it being open rather then Mr Ts which is my usual go to. Big mistake! Look forward to heading back to my usual place soon

Our favourite place to eat in Southwold. Great range of seafood and fish freshly prepared. Sharing platters great value. Best to book a table though, it does get popular and is only open until 4-30pm.

Second visit did not disappoint. Thoroughly enjoyed the large range of seafood. Be sure to check the special boards. Service could be quicker and staff were not able to distinguish between the alcholic and non alcohol drinks when it arrived at our table, which was a little annoying. I also didnt appreciate the fact that there was a dog walking around with no lead, it even went under my table and gave me a fright. Overall I still have to give it a 4 as the food was just yum!

The Sole bay Fish Company is a series of huts and sheds on the harbour area,
You entry via a fish mongers and that fish monger smell, but dont be put off, the restaurant is behind a set of doors.

The menu is very much pick and mix, they do have fish and chips but they also have some other amazing sea food! The service is great and the food is outstanding.

Ok. we had sea bass a bit flat and dry other's had the special cod and chips looked good

Popped in on the off chance as we hadn't booked, they managed to squeeze us in before another booking arrived. Great food and service, will definitely go again but definitely one to book in advance!

A great jewel at Southwold harbour. Superb fish platters and many other fish and chips etc. Go through the gate to the courtyard garden for a bit of peace and tranquility away from the queuing masses.

The sea food from this establishment is by far the best in southwold!

My sister had lobster and was equally delighted and my mother had Dover sole , her favourite, was also highly satisfied.
Service was very good in perfect location.

The food was excellent. We had the dressed crab and char grilled Crevettes and a couple of beers. A lovely afternoon snack in the sun on the outside seating. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere fun and relaxed. There was also beautifully presented, fresh fish caught that day, which could be taken home. We will definitely return here if we are in the area.

Went here a few weeks ago and can honestly say this was one of the best fish and chips I've had. My husband has the fish cake which was incredible too. Combined with a walk along the beach = amazing

Just had the most amazing pot of Brancaster mussels followed by cod and chips to die for.

Very friendly and professional. The only negative being I struggled to keep the Sea Bass on the long thin serving dish- looked great but if that's it then thats not bad!!!

I tried my first oyster here beer battered and it was beautiful the whole experience was brilliant and food cooked to perfection.

Looks like a wreck outside, which makes it feel even more like a great find when you get inside. Beautiful food and excellent staff. Look out for the giant lobster in the tank - there are two of them in there!

Fresh seafoods. Their fish and chips are yummy. Price is not cheap.

There is a long wait atm but it is well worth the wait. All fish is as fresh as ever delivered straight from the sea ready for cooking. Food was delicious. Very well organised and a very nice atmosphere. Would 100 percent recommend this for a very nice meal. CHIPS ARE PERFECTLY COOKED AND ARE NIT SOGGY.

Not much to look at on the outside completely different inside, rustic, amazing room and seating area to eat fresh fish beautifully layed out when you're served.
Staff are friendly, and willing to make your experience the best ever.
I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who adore fish of different varieties.

Superb both fresh fish and seafood, smoked fish, oysters, lobster, crab even fish and chips. We had beer battered oysters what can I say.

Simple, unpretentious, and absolutely bloody delicious.

Brilliant place, great atmosphere, well, it was super sunny and everything was open. Not sure what it is like when cold and rainy. But fish was excellent, service too, had a great time. Booking recommended at peak times though.

this was most proberbly the finest fish and chips I have ever had,not the cheapest, but you only get what you pay for. It was a pleasure to eat there. Will look forward to returning in future.

Whenever any one says that they have visited southwold I always ask then if they have had fish and chips from the only place to have them from and that is the harbour. A small wooden structure which serves the best fish and chips for miles. Get there about 11.45 and there won't be much of a wait but leave it about 30mis later and the amount of people who are there is amazing. Enjoy.
