The staff is the greatest group to come together ever. All the servers are so kind, love their jobs, know what they are talking about and do their very best to provide the best hospitality possible and they will stop at nothing to make sure their guests are having a wonderful experience. Great food, great service, great ambiance.

Amazing food and ambience! I ordered the BG chopped salad, it was huge and delicious. I also tasted their French fries which I will dream about in the future lol ! I would definitely go back and I thought the prices were reasonable.

I would recommend to eat here with a group. Best place to eat while having a chit-chat with your family or friends. Blackhawk Grille do not only have tasty food but they also have an excellent environment and high-quality customer service. Definitely worth a try!!!

Sat inside on a hot day hoping to cool down and it was sweltering inside. The food was fair, but the service was bad. There wasn't many people there, but the server took forever to greet us, spilt wine all over our table, and then kept trying to take our food in the middle of the meal.

Located right next the the man made creak, outdoor seating is fantastic! You can watch a small lovely waterfall and ducks. Outdoor fire pit kept us warm and cozy. Service was fast and friendly. Comfort type food tasted great.
Table was wobly, so we had to be careful not to spill our drinks.

Dessert review only: Ordered the $9 mango blackberry cobbler on the menu. It was that or the cookie skillet. When I asked the waitress anout the cobbler, she didn't hesitate to say, "it's so good!" I was sold... down a river of never ending disappointment.

What came was an apple cobbler. And not even a good one. The waitress apologized and took it back and put in a new order for the mango blackberry cobbler.

20 minutes later the manager delivered what was supposed to be a mango blackberry cobbler. My wife and I looked at it suspiciousmy and asked if it was mango? The manager assured us it was and left. It so obviously wasn't. Quite embarrassing they can't get make what's on the menu.

The waitress at least didn't charge us for it. The 2nd cobbler was even more disappointing so we just picked at the ice cream.

So take what you will from this. One thing is for sure. We might come for a meal but if the dessert experience is this awful, it doesn't inspire confidence to order an entree.

I should add my wife enjoyed her bread pudding. So 2 stars. It wasn't a totally zero experience (for her!)... lol

TL;DR Ask for Ian to serve you! Get the butterscotch bread pudding dessert! Good place for a special dinner with great menu.
Full Review:
Let me first talk about my server Ian, he was amazing! I ordered a root beer, and you know how when you get low on root beer it's a very light amber color at the bottom of the glass. Every time my soda got almost empty within a minute he was there with a new glass of root beer. This happened three times!!! On a scale of five stars he is six-star server! From the moment he greeted us to the moment we left, he was outgoing and just so upbeat. His concern was always on us having the best experience.
The atmosphere was nice although surprisingly a little brighter lights than I would have expected, which has its advantages. Table was clean and neat.
The menu was excellent, and was excited to see so many good choices available.
The calamari was very well prepared, and the sauce was incredible! You put the two together and you have a great starter!
I had the filet mignon and my wife had the rack of lamb. They were both very pleasing to the eye. The steak and the lamb were cooked med rare. I wish the lamb had mint jelly and that the steak had some special sauce to dip it in. These are my only recommendations. These two small additions would make this a true 5 star review.
We finished off the evening with dessert, choosing the butterscotch bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Wow, wow, WOW, it was AMAZING! Seriously planning on coming back for this alone. Just writing about this is making me want to go back now!
A reservation is recommended.

An average dining experience. The food was average, the service was average and the ambiance was average. It is located in a nice little shopping/business center. I had a burger and it was average although the beer battered fries were tasty.

Always a delight to go and eat here! The food is fantastic and the view is gorgeous. Our service was once again wonderful with the exception of the bar that couldn't figure out how to make the same drink from one time to the next taste the same or use the right alcohol. Not sure if they were in training but they kept trying and would return with a new one and take away the messed up one. No harm. Everyone has to learn. The salmon I had was absolute perfection! We had about 30 people and not one complaint. That is amazing. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately there were 3 people in the table next to us doing Skype or face time while we were eating at this restaurant. I believe when the restaurants sees this they should ask the patrons to stop or go outside....wish people would know there is a place and time to do this and its not in a restaurant

This place is amazing every bite of my food was full of flavor and unforgettable. The staff was excellent and with the kitchen open to the customers we got to see Chef Ulises work his magic along with his amazing team. Thanks for the amazing dinner I can't wait to come back.

Family and I went for dinner last Saturday night for my father's birthday. We sat at a large table near the front of the restaurant. Our waitress was Nicole, we have had her in the past as she is just lovely as always. My brother had his 2 kids with him and Nicole was great at talking with my niece and nephew making sure to include them in her interactions with our group and making all of us laugh and enjoy the experience. My father got the jambalaya, which he said was great. I ordered the chicken picatta which was our server's " hands down recommendation" she was right, it is really good but I would have liked it to have been a larger portion of chicken. It was only one small breast. Mom and sister got meatloaf and filet, both good portions and excellent. Brother got another filet an the kids ordered from the kids menu. The fruit on the kids menu was melon that were out of season ( understandable) an Nicole promptly offered to replaced it with fries when we mentioned this to her at her first check in on us. My niece really liked the fries. We had brought a birthday cake for our father, which was brought out by Nicole along with a Red Velvet cupcake from her an the restaurant. The kids actually ate the cupcake and they loved it. We will definitely be back again soon an I recommend anyone who is planning on going to dinner at the Grille, ask for Nicole. She is one of the best servers an always happy to make sure you have a great dinner.

For a few years this was the spot my family came to celebrate Easter, and to treat my (now EX) husband and his family to a nice brunch buffet out together. The food was always excellent and they offered a great variety of hot and cold dishes. Wonderfully hot meats, right off the grill and fresh cold shell fish. It's a little pricey but not crazy, and very good quality with usually outstanding service.

Now we enjoy just dropping in from time to time for a quick brunch or dinner treat at this upscale joint. Love the crab cake Benedict! Decent food that does the job. You won't be remembering or raving about it, but you won't be complaining either. Service is friendly and prompt. The location is beautiful and the interior is clean.

I wasn t impressed. Food came out warm, this was after watching it sit under the lamps for 10 minutes. My Dads poached eggs were hard. My crab cake Benedict was ok although again not hot. Our waiter disappeared after the food was served and we had to go up to the chefs to get the rest of the order. The staff were making a lot of noise, which added to the frustration.

I won t be back

This entire staff is incompetent at handling their customer basis and have zero customer service skills. Lacking the ability to even cater in the slightest to being empathetic to our family. My poor grandmother had hair in her plate and a piece of plastic from the kitchen! Please stay away from this failing establishment.

The venue was nice, the bread was good, the waiters were attentive, however the jambalaya was not good at all. It was served on a plate and the cook did not make the rice correctly. It tasted like oatmeal. Also I was unable to find a single scallop. I do not recommend the jambalaya.

Place is fancy but overpriced considering how the food tastes. Steak burgers were dry, mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a KFC, and the flourless cake tasted like a giant cavity (so bitter and too chocolately). We were sat in the booths next to the kitchen and there should be a higher wall next to the booths, as there is a lot of foot traffic. Bussers/waiters/waitresses/chefs were constantly talking loudly about things that shouldn't be talked about at work or should be talked about with a lower voice. I regret spending the amount of money I did for tasteless food and for the atmosphere.

was there for a large event. I was actually really looking forward to it, but everything except the grilled vegetables was incredibly bland. I don't know how you make a bland hamburger or bland macaroni and cheese, but they did it. Normally I would give 1 star for that, but the atmosphere was very nice and I imagine serving warm food to a party of over 100 people probably had a large impact on the quality of the food. I would definitely try it again by myself to see if I have a different experience.

Lovely place with nice ambiance and lighting. Food and drinks all tasted great. Restaurant wasn't packed but food service was slow. Waiter was nice and knowledgeable. Would recommend this place just make sure you know what you want before arriving and order everything right away to prevent waiting.
