Worst dining experience ever. I'm not one to complain, but after 55 minutes without the appetizer we ordered, we left paying for our drinks. When we went to pay and leave without the food we order an hour earlier, the server almost seemed relieved that he didnt have to help us any longer. Along with that and the foul mouth bartender making the rounds asking the locals if they need, I truly think we were forgotten about... no appetizer after 55 minutes? C'mon man!

Wings are one of the best around. Friendly service just need to have more servers & more seating.

Extremely friendly staff, went out of the way to make my first visit from out of town a memorable one. Makes me want to book next trip just so I travel thru this area so I have a reason to stop again.
Will not forget the customer service!

Best wings in Erie! Make sure you get the black jax twist. The bar is inside the quality inn.

Only reason its not 5.... service is slower than any place in town and im not talking about cooking time im talking about service time. The girls are understaffed and often you will sit at the bar or a table and need a drink for 20 minutes or more. Food is DELICIOUS but you better have some spare time to eat.

Straight up, the Black Jax Secret Sauce wing flavor is one of the few wings that I've ever eaten where the after-taste is better than the initial taste. Good enough to soften the blow of Duke beating my beloved Tar Heels last night.

Looking forward to trying the Black Jax Twist wings on my next visit. #GOHEELS

Good food but the service was iffy. It may have been because they were busy and understaffed though so I can overlook it. The food is also a bit pricey.

Great place to get away from the same ole same old thats in the city...karaoke is good on sat.and good crowds.

Was recommended this restaurant by the hotel we were staying at. So good! The wings were great, kids loved their food. If we ever make it back to Erie we would stop here again.

LOVE THIS BAR!!! We went here after our wedding to keep the party going and basically all of our guests followed us. They didn't disappoint either! Karaoke night on Saturdays is awesome and their wings are out of this world!

The wait staff ignored us for about 20 minutes before we asked to be served. Finally menus were brought over to us, it took another 15 minutes before our server returned to take our order.
We waited an hour before our orders were finally brought to our table. The food was mediocre at best. Our server apologized and blamed it on the cooks.
She never returned to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything else.
After we finished our meals, we waited for our bills. And had to line up at the bar to try and pay for our bills. It took 10 minutes before staff finally took our money.
It was a very disappointing experience at Black Jax to say the least.
All this occurred from 6:30-9:30pm on Friday night. It was a busy night for sure but most of the guests had already been served and eating. By the time we ordered our food, customers were already starting to leave.
Don't really know what the issues were that night but we won't be returning to Black Jax.

I won t eat where heroin addicts work!! Like seriously. The food is good but certain people were fired from previous jobs and no one wants their food!!

Love this gem, everything is great. They do need more ppl though, bar people shouldn't be serving food patrons.

Food was good, waiter was attentive but not smothering and you could hear your party speak. Wings are yummy!!

Felt sorry for the waitress/bartender who was completely overwhelmed. Waited one hour for our food, had to beg for a menu when we first arrived. Food just mediocre.

It's a hotel bar apparently known for wings. I guess it's OK if you're staying there. The night I went there it was busy and I had to wait awhile to get the bartenders attention. She eventually came over and I ordered a draft. I don't know what happened. She kept serving other people and apparently forgot about me. No big deal, the karaoke was bad enough for me to leave anyway. If I hear one more horrible rendition of Sweet Caroline, I swear.

Great experience! The pizza was amazing! The one i got was called the Penn State. My kettle one and sprites hit the spot. Definitely going back this week! Wanna try their award winning wings!

Wings are incredible,burgers are decent. A little bit expensive but real nice place to go.

No one in the place and we couldn't get waited on. Sat down and were told Tyler or Bob would be with us. 15 mins. later left to go somewhere else. Not a very good experience.

Great wing flavors but both times I've been there the kitchen burned the wings. I'll be back and hopefully the 3rd time is a charm

Had a great time shooting pool while staying at the hotel. There is 3 pool tables. I seen in summer the in ground pool is right outside the sports bar too. So I would definitely go back

We love coming to Black Jax there food is amazing and the staff do a good job.

We were staying at the hotel and decided a beer and a burger would be good. We arrived at 8:15. Waited a good 10 mins for someone to come to our table and tell us they close at TEN so we can only order fryer food. It was only 8:30! We took our business elsewhere. Dont recommend this place.

Food is very good but the bar service is very slow.

Went to Black Jaxs for something to eat. I was told at 830pm the cook would only make fryer food, no grilled food despite the fact they advertise they are open until 10pm.

We sat down at 8:10 pm. Whatched several to go orders come in and out. Finally got our food at 9:43pm. The orders were then wrong, Fish was freezer burnt dry! The baked potato was rotten! All the fried food was over cooked to were it hardened. The waitress was very nice and seemed so embarrassed. This place made a gas station microwave sandwich look great!

Sara was an excellent bartender. The other bartender that took over after she left, he was not so good, and seemed to have a history of bad attitude towards patrons. His actions caused more than a handful of people to leave for elsewhere. Nice inn, just don't visit the bar, unless Sara is there.

Friday July 19th 4pm We sat and waited for 30 minutes. No waitress no service ever. Bar maid saw us sitting there numerous times.Made eye contact with her no response.As we were leaving I talked to the manager I presume . he blew us off.Negative ten stars terrible

Poor service. Myself and the husband went in on a Friday late night after a day if traveling to get a couple of beers, and waited for 20 minutes before they asked us for anything. More worried about their regulars before us nobodies. Never going there again.

We went in a group last night and although the food was good the server couldn't keep up. We had to go to the extremely busy bar and get our own drinks and break our checks up ourselves when it came time to pay. They definitely need more help on a Saturday night.

Hamburger was outstanding and the service was great. Music was a little loud when we arrived but that's because most of the Pistons, we thought, we locals enjoying the $2/bottle Budweiser. The waitress turned it down and the atmosphere was perfect.

Best wings around...great service...cold beer...will be back

This bar and grill is great. The food (mushroom pizza "the Penn state") was delicious. The service excellent.

Prices reasonable especially if you have The 10% off coupon from the Quality Inn.
