Horrible boarding experience that left my dog injured. I left both my dogs at bittersweet over the holiday for one week. During pick up they give you a report which basically said both dogs did good at the resort. No where on report that injuries happened which suggests they didn't pay attention to the dog or notice them. I notice the injuries once I got home and was wiping my dog's paw and face. There was an eye injury and half a claw is missing with the red part exposed. I called and spoke to 2 people who said they were sorry but didn't offer anything to help with injuries or at least return boarding costs for the injured dog. I sent an email and still have not heard back. Poor poor service. The people who work there might seem nice but the care for your dog is not there.

The grounds are beautiful. Horses look good & well cared for. Cathy was awesome, the staff are very friendly. Definitely looking forward to Future riding lessons.
My dog, Louie has been going to Bittersweet since the fall and he LOVES it! My boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to have Louie go after we had a bad experience at another daycare. I was a little hesitant when I first brought him over because I wasn't sure he was going to get the same amount of play time etc. that he was at the other place, but after talking with Lynna and the rest of the staff, I felt assured that this was the best place to go. Whenever it is camp day, Louie knows it! He is so pumped to go and play with all his friends-canine and human! When he gets to camp, he is all smiles, which is funny because it looks like he is growling. Lynna and Morgan are the 2 ladies who I interact with most and I know that Louie is well cared for by both of them because I see how they are with their own dogs. Louie, Mike and I have been treated like family. I am never worried about Louie being safe or playing with other dogs because those ladies are there to watch him! Bittersweet also has fun parties and they do a good job at being creative! Louie loves all the snacks and the doggie beer, although his body might not love it as much... ;) They take pictures and post them all the time so you can see what your dog did the day they went to camp and who they made friends with. They keep to small play groups (about 10 dogs, i think) and are always watching out for each dog in the playgroup. Best part is that Louie comes home tired! He gets a little sprite at dinner, but then calms down and is tired from a good day at camp! I have always had a good experience bringing Louie to Bittersweet and they always do their best to care for my dog.
This place was great! Staff was friendly! We boarded our dog here for the first time because a family member referred it. My dog is very friendly but skiddish of other dogs. I wanted to make sure she would get one on one attention and have her own space. They were very accommodating to this. They also did not seem bothered by my phone calls everyday to check in as a nervous dog mom. She seemed in good spirits when I pulled up to pick her up. Tail wagging and walking around. I had to give her bath as soon as I got home because she smelled bad but didn't look dirty. They did ask me a few times if I wanted her bathed before picking her up so it's not their fault. If you don't want to do it yourself as soon as you get home, I recommend having them do it. The only thing I would like changed is they only take pictures during group play and like I previously stated, she did not do group play which was a little frustrating. A daily report of a picture of your dog and a couple notes about their day would be a great improvement and maybe just an idea to calm all those nervous dog moms out there. We will be coming here again if we have to go out of town!
I had been looking for a new place to board my dog after a bad experience at a different boarder. I am so glad I found Bittersweet! I have an older, timid dog who can sometimes come off as aggressive, so it was a challenge to find a place we trust with our fur child. My dog went for a day of daycare first, and then had a week stay. We had no issues, and my dog came home happy and healthy. We have already booked our dogs next stay there! Thanks to the friendly team at Bittersweet!
Groomer Sidney does a great job with my miniature Schnauzer s cut! What I like best is how loving the staff are to the animals. From the minute you walk in they re friendly and greeting your pet. And Sidney is responsive to what you want and does a great job adapting my dog s cut to the season. They provide good customer service and are great at answering your questions. Very reliable. I recommend them!
Bittersweet kept watch over our Great Pyrenees for a little over a week. They have a great facility and staff, plus the whole farm is very well kept together. I would absolutely recommend them for any sort of animal care
We can t say enough about Bittersweet. Our son takes riding lessons here with Ella, and our dogs get their nails clipped here. Professional staff, wonderful experience, and great value. Love this place!
I have used BS several times and unfortunately their staff is dishonest about the care they claim to give. One time my precious Yorkie was so sick when I picked her up and the staff lied and said that she had not had any issues. My dogs were supposed to get baths on their pick up day, but did not because they all smelled of urine. When I explained how bad they smelled, they actually lied and said that they had received baths. Their services did not used to be that bad, but they have certainly gone down hill. I feel that the kennels are not cleaned daily and that our pets are allowed to live in their filth. When I asked if their kennels were cleaned daily, I never received a straight answer. Very sad. Because I really like the staff that I have interacted with, but their pet care services in totality is NOT what you think it is.
