Birgitzer Alm Review

Very good cuisine, friendly and fast service, nice atmosphere.

Unfortunately that was nothing. Waited half an hour until someone served us. Waiter was drunk and asked three times what we would like to drink. Then I waited almost 1 1/2 hours for the food and it was lukewarm.

Unfortunately, very bad food ... rarely eaten so badly on an alpine pasture. In the past it was often the first choice for toboggan evenings and excursions. Unfortunately no longer.

Very fine route.
Cabin is great and the host a madness.
Only to be recommended.

Very friendly staff, got something to drink straight away, although all hell was going on (seats only got inside, despite the large terrace) and excellent food ... large portions ... everything perfect ... definitely worth a visit.

Very disappointing bad drinks and food selection was much better with the previous owner the last access (gate) is an imposition for cyclists very unfortunate was always a guest now no longer.

Operation is very unfriendly and overwhelmed. After waiting for a long time and asking for 20 minutes whether you should order something, the answer was just a "no" from the passing waitress. That left us stunned. Since we walked from Birgitz to the Alm we wanted to have a drink. We got the drink ourselves after 10 minutes queuing at the counter. One star is still too much for this (no) service.

Despite full hut ... fast and friendly service. Eat good.

Good food and nice people. On the weekends is often very busy, which in turn speaks for the quality of the Alm.

A very nice destination ... ideal for tourers and tobogganers .... the toboggan run is rather longer ... therefore a longer ascent time. Food fantastic .... from Schnitzel .... ham cream spaetzle ... dumpling dishes .... everything was excellent.

After about 2 hours of ascent from the parking lot with snowshoes, the Birgitzer Alm is a welcome opportunity to stop, relax and refresh yourself.
Friendly and rustic in ambience and staff.
After climbing the summit, we returned for lunch. The menu is clear, the food is good. The view is terrific and the service ok. Overall, the hut is highly recommended!

Was always worth a visit. But today .... pastries at 12:30, 1h wait for a dumpling soup and then extremely rude. What's going on there?

Even in Corona times there is the possibility to enjoy self-service coffee, tea and a small snack. Nice idea :)

Food was very good, view was very nice. We recommend. Unfortunately, the alpine hut closes early (around 5 p.m.).

Update after one year: was good again

Something seems to have changed since last winter. Once friendly and fast service became slow and extremely unfriendly "service". It's flu time, not attacking glasses from above would be one of the first rules in service.

The dumplings are awesome !! Try it out. Environment invites you to hike. Gladly again.

Very good food at fair prices. A little tight in winter, very popular with tourers.

The staff is hopelessly overwhelmed, some guests had to wait 2 hours for the meal. The food was not really good either.

Nice destination with plenty of space, the kitchen is however only average and the prices for an alp also on the more expensive side.

Very good food, and friendly people ... but unfortunately the Alm / toboggan run is closed at 17:00 on weekends and during the week in December. In the past, in the evenings or on weekends, people were happy to be on a tobogganist on Birgitzer, that's history.

Great food (spinach dumplings), reasonable prices, nice staff. Unfortunately no coffee in the cappuccino and a very dirty glass, which was not immediately recognizable as such but is now unfortunately responsible for herpes.

If you want to eat something look for another Alm. First came the wrong drinks (without apology) and after 50 minutes waiting for a noodle soup we went without food. The service was just a joke we have to wait, she could not help that so many people come. This is not to be expected on the first really nice weekend !!!!!!
