Fun tourist adventure in downtown Seattle. It begins with a bit of history of Seattle delivered in a musty basement. The tour passes through that store front and goes to other locations within a couple of blocks of the start. The info presented is pretty interesting and helps in understanding the names and places of Seattle. This tour is partially outside, in downtown Seattle during the day. It can be hard to hear the tour guide and navigating the streets during a busy hour can be difficult. Overall a fun time.

I only wish the tour was longer. But boy did we learn a lot. The waiting area was very entertaining, was glad we got there early to explore the goodies in the lobby. The small group size gave us the ability to hear everything the guide was explaining. The guide was both entertaining and informative, he appears to really enjoy his job and sharing information. The price was right as well.

The tour guide we had was very knowledgeable about the history of Seattle. If you're looking for something else other than that it may be a bit lacking. The underground sections we saw were not what I expected, but the history behind it was well-pieced together.

It's worth doing if you're looking for a bit of history

Karry was our tour guide. She was/is very knowledgeable about the city s history. Also passionate about it as well. Answered questions. Tour is a walking tour with stairs, so if you have trouble with this(I didn t), I wouldn t recommend it. The underground isn t much to see, but learning the early history of Seattle makes it well worth the $20.

Our guide Jim Gall was informative, funny and engaging. The tour provides a lot of info about Seattle's history and it's interesting to see the original street level, shops, retaining walls and skylights. Highly recommended for all!

We absolutely loved this tour. (We did the late night adult tour) We are only here for a few days for my birthday and wanted to do a couple things that would really make the trip enjoyable. This was certainly it. Chuck was a wealth of knowledge. I learned more than I ever thought I could know about Seattle. He knew the answers to every question and quite literally was a teacher. He walked us to several areas in the city and pointed out areas that were mentioned on the tour historically, to present day. It was remarkable to see how the city has grown and have so many examples to go alongside such an interesting story. Chuck was so awesome and we would come back for another tour! (Be sure to tip your tour guide!)

Awesome activity, and well priced at $20. You re taking down of an underground tour of the Seattle close to Pioneer Square. It s not really an underground tour, but rather you re taken underground at various locations. The guide was passionate and entertaining. Loved the story about the former-ground-floors-now-basements, as the city was rebuilt after the fire, but raised about a story-level. Also, love how I can give a top with credit card - I never carry cash.

Very disappointing. We spent most of the time above ground. When we were below we were exposed to black mold and stayed in that area for quite some time. My friend and I were both starting to feel sick. The guide kept telling terrible jokes and puns. I was really expecting to learn about Seattle during the times before the fire. I wanted to learn about what Seattle was like down there.

Took a tour with Chuck. He was extremely knowledgeable and we left knowing a lot about Seattle's history. I loved all the trivia and anecdotes that he shared with us. He answered all my questions and, being that we were in a small group, I asked a ton.

This is a cool tour! If you have some time to spare, you should definitely try to fit in this quick one hour tour. I learned quite a bit about Seattle's underground and history. Our tour guide, Patty, was amazing too! She's so warm and welcoming. You can tell she really enjoys telling you about the city.

David gave us an underground tour that told a great history of Seattle. There's so much more to this city than I anticipated! He also made the time to point each person in the group towards the best lunch spots in the area. Good group sizes too

Took a day trip down to Seattle and felt like an Underground tour (not knowing what it would entail) be fun and interesting. Little did we know we were in for a treat.

Mike was our tour guide, and I have never been on a tour hosted by someone who was so passionate about the subject, so fun and really did his best to engage everyone. He was so jazzed to be talking about the underground of Seattle, even though he had been doing the job for quite some time.

We learned so much (not really knowing any of the history of Seattle) and it was so cool being underground and getting a feel for how things used to be like.

If you have the time, go on this tour! It is a blast and I am sure the other tour guides are good, but Mike was fantastic!

I'll give it 5 stars for service and idea, I didn't take the tour this time but I'll be going back and will definitely take a tour. The staff was really cool and even promoted the local business they partnered with (not just themselves) awesome crew working there

We stumbled upon this tour by accident as we were searching for the other tour. They noted how this was a smaller group size (better for interaction) and lower price too. Plus, they covered a different area. Most of all, our tour guide was Jerry/Jerome who loved his job which really made the tour informative and entertaining.

Thought tour was just ok, slightly entertaining but not one I would go on again. Was hoping to see more of the historical underground but instead they took us through an underground comedy club and another modern basement.

Myself and my partner had been holidaying in Seattle as tourists from Australia when we came across Beneath The Street. Not being very knowledgeable about the history of the town we decided to join in on one of the tours.

Once we got underway our tour guide Rod made sure to fill us in on every interesting detail about Seattle that his vast 40 years of knowledge and experience could inform us on. We were treated to a couple of underground areas that held historical significance or gave further enlightenment to the information being provided as well as some photographs from the time period being explained by Rod as he toured us around with his comedic touch added alongside.

The tour itself wasn't very long (being around an hour and a half) but filled myself and my partner with a lot of fascinating details that we then took around the streets marvelling at all the many things around the area afterwards that we were told about.

Understanding the circumstances of how hard it would be to show the entirety of underneath the town and coming into this tour with not much knowledge however my partner and myself loved every minute and highly recommend this experience to everyone back home and anyone in the area who hasn't tried this already. We couldn't thank Rod and the team enough for a wonderful time!

I've done several tours in Seattle and this was one of my favorites. Our guide was entertaining but his first priority was to educate our group about the first peoples of the Pacific Northwest, the settlement of Seattle, the problems of the early settlers, the reasons that Seattle has an underground, and the culture of that underground. He used Q&A to make sure we were understanding what he was talking about which I really apprciated. Along the way our guide pointed out several pieces of architecture and interesting places we might want to explore later. If you are interested in Seattle history and would like to see The Underground this tour should definitely be on your list. Thank you Beneath The Streets for a great morning in Seattle.

This was an excellent experience. Although I ve been to Seattle many times, I was not aware of this part of the city s history. Our tour guide, Janelle, was both articulate and funny and told us many interesting stories of how Seattle s underground was created as an integral part of the city.

Beneath the Streets Tour was fun and personal. We were able to ask questions in a small group. Dave the tour guide was awesome! We got lots of history and fun! The location shares entrance with another (scarier) tour so don't be turned away by the creepy entrance. Definitely a must do in Seattle.

Heard about this under ground tour in Seattle, so decided to look in to it. Glad I did. The tour is very educational and interesting. It wasn't very expensive. It was a great price for a different experience of Seattle and how it got its name.

Our tour guide name was Richard. He was super funny and gave us a lot of amazing facts and history on the Seattle. The whole tour is a hour long.

We actually got lucky because we booked a late tour and ended getting a private tour of pioneer square. The evening tours are less crowded and we ended being the only ones who booked that time slot.

It worked out perfectly. I am so happy we were able to fit that it. It was so interesting. I definitely recommend it. You won't be disappointed. With your tour tickets they also offer a discount to the underground comedy club and 2 dollars off the Smith tower observatory, all these are centrally and closely located to each other(all within walking distance) in pioneer square.

Really good tour to teach you the history of the city. I was expecting it to be OK, but you learn a lot about how the city was built and why it was built that way. I am curious of the haunted tours as well, but didn t have time to check those out.

Fascinating tour with entertaining and knowledgeable tour guide, with really cool old-timey photos along the way for reference. I definitely prefer the 25 person limit for the tour. Others have 50-person caps, which sounds like it would be too much for the tight spaces in the tunnels. Great experience.
