Saw Pray for Sleep, Dube and Counterfeit tonight at the Big Room Bar. Venue was great. Only complaint was it was really hot, but the bar was packed for this sold out show. Plenty of space to enjoy the concert. Sound was awesome. Would absolutely go again.

Terrible service, tried to scam me more than once at the bar. I think the bar tender was hammered and incoherent, she tried to steal from me, I called her out on it and she made false accusations. Just not very friendly except for 1 or 2 people.
The sounds was horrible......probably shouldn't put on anymore concerts

The Big Room Bar hosts swing dancing on Wednesday nights that are just fantastic to go to. The draft selection is decent and the people there are so wonderful. The crowd on Wednesdays, although I cannot speak for other days, is the most wholesome gathering of people I have ever been a part of.

We went to a concert early January and it was great! The pop is a bit pricey and if you plan on going for dinner during a concert, try to get there WAY in advance. There is not much seating in the booth style, but they do have bar side/bar top as well with bar stools. I can't tell you much about menu, from what we saw, it's just tacos n such :/ But a great venue to attend for concerts! The decor is very much old school venue, it's cool!
Great venue that features local artists. The bartenders are always very friendly and the bar is large.
Neat place with local brews. I'd like it even more if there was more seating. It lives up to it's name...kinda like a big room with a bar in it, lol.
As concert venue I liked it. The size means you're up close with the bands & the prices were reasonable compared to other venues. As a bar I'd question the prices and the lack of seating. Keep in mind though I assume they have a different setup for non-concert nights and may have some tables out in those instances.

Saw the band Iota Orator perform for their first album release here. Was amazing! Also has a huge dance floor for swing dancing.
Wonderful local music, local bar concept. Makes patrons feel like a part of something bigger with the radio station in house. Awesome venue for events, too.

Had a wonderful time at a Christmas Party where my Sister works. Bartender should had a little more help as he was backed up quite often. The food was outstanding an provided by Hoggys.
The door guy had no clue how to properly apply a wrist band. Their a/c was broken. But the beer choices are nice and the food was plentiful.

Have been here for both shows and brunch and both are great ways to experience this bar. The food is fantastic, the service is great, there is plenty of seating, and unlike a lot of bars in Columbus, this place has its own (large) dedicated parking lot. Now one of my favorite spots in Cbus.
Cool little spot to check out some local bands. There is a parking lot in the back that is a little difficult to see from the street.
It's a great space but is not inclusive of anyone that is physically disabled. Most recently I was invited to a show by the performing band and tried to contact Big Room Bar by phone and through their social media to check if it was accessible. No response and their phone line is disconnected. I showed up and had to ask the bouncer to carry my mobility device up a flight up stairs while my friend essentially carried me. It was was completely humiliating. The restrooms are not ADA either.
CD 102.5 preaches making live music accessible to all but excludes an entire community of people by not making their only venue accessible. At the very least they should state on their website that it is not an ADA accessible venue so people don't waste their time buying tickets, showing up, and not be able to enjoy the show.
Nice set up but I wish the bar scent wasn't strong. It smelled of spilled beer or mop water.
IN ADDITION TO THE OWNERS REPLY BELOW I HAD TO COME BACK AND NOW EDIT MY ORIGINAL REVIEW TO ADDRESS THEIR FAKE NEWS OF THIS BEING FAKE NEWS. I WAS THERE AND TOOK THE PICTURE THAT WAS ATTACHED. THAT NIGHT THIS ALBUM RELEASE HAPPENED THERE WERE NO TABLES SET UP AND IT WAS STANDING ROOM ONLY. THERE WERE ABOUT 45-50 PEOPLE IF THAT IN THE ROOM. I CAME IN AND STOOD BY THE CLOSED BAR OVER TO THE RIGHT WHERE THE TWO YOUNG BOYS WERE SELLING OR DISTRIBUTING THE CD FOR THE RELEASE PARTY. I got one. THEN I WENT AND SAT IN THE BACK WHERE ONLY A FEW PEOPLE WERE SITTING IN ONE STOOL AND I USED ANOTHER ONE TO PROP MY LEG UP UNTIL MY FRIEND CAME AND SAT IN THE ROCKY UNSTABLE STOOL AND ALMOST FELL OVER. ONCE THE HEADLINERS CAME TO THE STAGE THE ENCOURAGE US TO COME FROM THE BACK TOWARDS THE STAGE SINCE THERE WAS SO MUCH ROOM. P.S. I KNOW THE HEADLINER SOOO IF I WASNT THERE THEN HE MUST HAVE TAKEN A PICTURE WITH A GHOST THAT NIGHT CAUSE YEA I GOT ONE WITH HIM AND THE FRIEND WHO HELPED ME PROP MY LEG UP FROM THE ROCKY STOOL. SO YEA LIKE I SAID. NICE SET UP BUT I WISH THE BAR SCENT WASNT SO STRONG. IT SMELLED OF SPIIIIIIILLLED BEER OR MOOOOOP WATER.

Rebecca is awesome and does great behind the bar. And the Open Mic nights that Blake hosts on wednesdays are great! Great local brews and local comedy/musical acts!
We love music trivia on Tuesday nights!! Chelsea, Jason and Joshua are all Great bartenders.

Not enough seating for the amount of people that show up but the atmosphere is pretty laid back for a bar. The bands were pretty good. Drinks are kind of expensive but I'm guessing most bars are probably that way, don't go to many ...
The food here was surprisingly great. They have great make your own dogs and burgers. Amazing beer selection. Limited seating. Sometimes the bands that play are not very good.
Pretty slow so service is good. Live bands and karaoke make this place come alive. Great acoustics.
