Great service and food. The spicy chicken wings are sooo good.
Great service and food. The spicy chicken wings are sooo good.
Good selection of their beers. Appetizers were exorbitantly expensive though. A friend and I ordered two appetizers each, all four could have fit on a small dinner plate and it was over $45 for the food alone.
The staples are good but some of the seasonals need work
Food is alright, but not good enough to worth the price. Mango chutney curry doesn't have any mango taste to it.
Great experience. Friendly staff, especially Lucas, who was our waiter. I wish there were more vegetarian/vegan/alcohol free options so I could come enjoy this place more. Definitely recommend this place.
Decent selection of eats and drinks for happy hour.
For dinner, I had a Cobb salad and it wasn't bad at all. I liked how the menu was made available through a QR code located on the table :)
Nice family spot, solid & decent food choices. Beer is vastly improt in the last year.
Overall a great choice.
Wednesday is $13 Wok menu - good for a bit healthier fare.
Had the chicken club salad, it was very good. I was there with a group for 2 1/2 hours, I had one beverage, was never asked again. 50/50 chance I would go again.
Wok Wednesdays are the best. For a non-Asian restaurant, they have one of the best chow meins, Singapore curry vermicelli and butter chicken in Surrey.
good pub fare, seasonal beers are good, i am not a fan of the service though, YBC has great service and this place not so great.
The gluten free menu is horribly stunted. With so many restaurants coming out and making their food allergen friendly, Big Ridge is not even interested. This is a family friendly eatery but when your kids are gluten free and not into the options of 3 salads and I'm not willing to purchase a $30 steak, options are limited and sad. On top of it, charging $2 for LETTUCE, to replace a a hamburger bun is a goddamn joke. I'm sorry you had to sit in the back and rip a hunk of lettuce out but that doesnt qualify Big Ridge to charge $2 for it. I can get better and cheaper burgers at A&W with free lettuce wrap instead of a bun. I will not be visited Big Ridge again.
Food is priced ariund same as comparibles, ie.$15 for burger and fries, nothing special on the foods. I went with a group and no one was really happy with the food. Staff was okay and easy to deal with however service was a bit slow.
Called at 940pm and was advised that there were nachos on their late night menu... There were not. Then asked if we could have the burger and beer special ... We were denied. Their late night menu consists only of overpriced Chinese food and wings and the response to complaints from their management team is almost negligible. The 2 star rating instead of a 1 is for their tolerable beer.
Great food, great atmosphere and great drinks! I highly recommend this place. I went there for lunch and it was excellent
Regular place we go for family dinners and parties. Service is always friendly and super fast. Good daily specials and decent beer. If you aren't down with the family side, simply head over to the pub side
Great selection of foods and drinks. Nice to have in the neighborhood.
Great food. Good atmosphere. Awesome beer. All at reasonable prices.
Yummy. Went here for dinner with a friend - the appies were so filling we never got to dinner.Service was great and so was the food. Can't wait to go back, too bad its a bit out of the way.
Good in house brewed beer. Changing recipies every few months and a special cask opened on Friday. Food is pretty decent. Top things are definitely their buttermilk chicken wings, pizzas and chow mien.
We arrived at 5:30 pm and ordered drinks the next time the waitress came by is at 6:15 when we stopped her to ask if we could order. It s now 6:50 and food still not arrived. Service sucks
No pressure to leave. Food is #1 and service is equally as good.
Great atmosphere, delicious beer and very appealing food. Prices are quite reasonable and they are accomodating to kids as well. Servers could smile just a bit more though :)
I have always wondered how their Singaporean noodles are much better than I make at home ;)
Nice staff we have picked up there a few times and the staff has always been helpful with our service. Thanks Ladies and Gents
A wired place to get this but best butter chicken around
Good food. Good service and nice patio. I recommend the pizza!
Great ambience, lots of beer selections. The food was good,a little on the pricier side by a couple dollars.
The service was fast, our waitress was super friendly. There is a restaurant on one side of this establishment, the pub on the other side. Kitchen serving both sides. A popular place.
I would come back for sure!!
Good place to try a flight of beers or some deep fried pickles.
Food's good, staff is friendly and the beer's good and cold - pretty hard to bellyache
Great establishment with good selection of beer and good food
Rod did an amazing job serving us at dinner tonight. His friendly and fun personality kept us laughing and entertained. He was quick and efficient with service and made sure we had a great experience! Great job Rod!
Chris bartender ..the best ..I was there 3 months ago and he remembered me
$5 pints of excellent craft beer, what more could you ask for? Maybe a good selection of delicious food, well they have that too!
Kids menu with a drink and desert.... expensive. Clearly they want you to leave the kids at home.
Big ridge has an awesome diverse menu. They rival and sometimes exceed the quality and creativity of Brown's Social House nearby. They have an awesome chicken burger made with chicken thighs which is not common and delicious. Also there panko chicken breast Burger is huge and blows me away every time. Yum
I hesitated offering 4 stars to Big Ridge. I really like the ambience, their seating offerings (bar, lounge, patio (in summer)) and their food - haven't ever had a bad dish here. (On Wok Weds go with the Singapore noodles).
Staff is awesome as well.
My beef with BR is that the only beers they have on tap are their own and there are only a few to choose from. For fear of sounding like a hipster, I reluctantly gripe that their seasonal offerings aren't really seasonal in that they actually change less frequently than the seasons, so if you go a few times a year, there's nothing really new to select from.
I'm not an uppity beer snob, but I've noticed that what used to be considered a good beer selection 5 or so years ago, just doesn't cut it today.
In that this is right in my wheelhouse, I would love to see some more offerings as I think they could do a lot better. Perhaps this would entail bottling and selling smaller batches so the taps are more rotational in nature.
In any case, it's a great alternative to the chain restos around, but I often find myself torn between here and the Brown's strictly because I want something a little different in the way of a frosty beverage.
Really impressed with the food, staff and prices. The bacon they put on the burgers. So delicious
Typical pub fare with a few unique dishes like pork belly sandwich. Crispy outside skin with moist and fat! Tasty.
Excellent food & outstanding service. Prices are a little above average but certainly not unreasonably so, and the quality is well worth the cost.
Usually have great service here but the last time I went it was not the best (was for an early dinner & not very busy) she didnt check in tell near the end of our visit. They also took away the east to east curry which was delish!
Had a bunch of starters and left full.
Hopping place with great service and fabulous food.
Was introduced to Red Truck beer, only beer that doesn't give me heart burn.
Average food with average prices. Good drink variety
Went there for lunch mainly for the craft beers 01/26/2018 @ around 12 noon , was seated right away with menus however waited almost 6-10 mins and we got no service ,got up and left . Asked for the manager who came out and we mentioned that we got no service . Walked across the parking lot to Browns best service ever .
I really enjoyed my time here. I was with a large group of my coworkers for a work function, and the service was excellent. Food was wonderful and a unique take on gastro pub style dishes. The squid starter was sooooo good. I'll be coming back with the hub soon, definitely.
It was a quiet day, service was great. All the food was amazing we had the Fried pickles (which are massive), edamame and sliders. The pickles were so dang hot i burnt the top of my mouth so bad it started peeling but that was my fault for maybe not poking holes in all of them so watch out for those puppies but a nice place for lunch. As well as the beers we tried were great to.
Kung Po Chicken - Very bland with awful chicken (not quite sure if it was chicken)
The server was too keen to please and somewhat annoying as she kept popping up on numerous occasions.....not sure why? It was a quiet evening, yet I was made to feel that I should hurry up and leave. Not a nice experience and would not recommend the location or food sadly.
We went there to watch a football game and the server kept saying that the game will change to our station after the current game is done. We waited 3-4 min after the previous game was done but since it did not change to our game, we asked the server again and she kept saying it will change automatically. We lost almost 4 min of our game. Very annoying and unorganized staff.
Service is always great and the food is to die for. The Clover IPA on tap could not be better on a hot day on the patio. We always make it a point to come here when the sun is shining and don't have enough positive things to say about this establishment.
This place is great, pizzas are so good and they have good Asian dishes. Work Wednesday and Sunday pizza and beer and cheap. I would definitely recommend this place.
Great food and great beer. Had the Nicoise salad and the seasonal Black IPA on a Nitro tap. Our server Lucas was great!
The atmosphere, the customer service, the Thursday night half-price kids, is all wonderful.however the menu needs an update. They need to have more choices for gluten-free, vegetarian & healthier options. Calling Gordan Ramsay!!
Great atmosphere and quality food. Our Server Janine was on the mark with her recommendations and provided prompt and friendly service. Appreciated the teamwork to make sure our evening was enjoyable and a relaxed experience.
Really impressed with the quality of our food but disappointed with the portion size. Great service on the restaurant side.
Good food reasonably prices and good service parking however is not great.
Fast and friendly service with great food to boot. I had the Rocket Chicken with the panko breaded chicken breast and it was to die for! I will definitely have to come back again.
Love the beer and burgers, cute and laid back decor, great staff. Clean. We always go on family night. It's always a good time.
Beer is decent, menu has gone downhill in the past few years, portions got smaller, they took some of the more expensive ingredients out of dishes and made them more "basic".
It's a brewery as well as a pub with a multiethnic menu and a good wine selection. Pizza oven is big and traditional.
Varied menu, delicious food, good service, great place to chat with friends
Absolutely sub par food and service. Almost laughable how bad the food is compared to the quality of the venue and the opportunity presented by the location. Not sure who patronizes the place considering how much competition there is out there in the mid-tier brewpub/gastropub range.
Food is always hot and tasty. Server was not good at her service.
Good place for a great beer and some comfort food. Not your usual pub fare here, although you could order that if you really wanted to.
Great service and they have a magician every Thursday....he's amazing! Food is great and plenty of parking.
I had a salmon dish which was delightful(the waiter helped me pick it after struggling for a while) I also had the cheese cake but it was only ok.
