The place itself is fantastic, lots of fun for the family. My main concern was that the majority of patrons DID NOT follow Covid guidelines, so many not wearing masks when walking around or bothering to attempt any safe distance. But also, as good as the staff are, they did not try to get people to follow them.

Bit mediocre for walks and taking your friendly mutt to. No real visual inspiration, or anything beyond a meandering path, that runs beside a big expanse of water. The cafe food was average at best.

Really nice, scenic, and decent length cycling route around the reservoir for mountain bikes albeit slightly hilly at times. There is bike hire, a cafe, a campsite and a playground as well as a floating aquapark. I believe that should you chose to you could hire canoes and paddle boards and stuff. Overall it is a great family day out.

Lovely area for all types of activities, plenty of water for kayaking, pedal boats, & boat fishing. Lovely walks around the resovoir with a water ferry pick up from 5 jetties if you've had enough of walking. Reasonable priced for the car park and the ferry if you use it

First time at bewl water, it was nice our daughter cycled round whilst we walked nice surroundings and good facilities even in covid times a great day out. Although there were lots of people, everyone was socially distanced and polite and respectful of the rules required.

From the Google reviews I knew that this place was good but it turned out more amazing than I had expected. The website of Bewl water mainly talks about the walk around the lake but there is so much to do here. The place is best for waterside picnics too.

Great dog walking and cycling venue that can host events too. Very busy at weekends and with expensive car parking and entry. Staff have lost the will and badly needs mileage signposts all around the lake.

Lovely peaceful area. Good walking paths in and out of woodlands. Good views across the lake. Good cafe and bike hire shop. Great bike track (13 miles ) but it occasionally goes on to public roads and some parts are very hilly.

Beautiful location with stunning views across the reservoir. Parking is free and not too far from the cafe. Prices are a bit steep, but no more than you would expect for this type of venue. There are boat rides available across the water More

Took the kids today to wear them out. The kids play area has seen better days, one of the underground sections on the large pirate ship was flooded. A few sections of the play equipment were missing from the last time we went, hopefully they will be replaced by the summer. Nice place for a walk as long as you don't mind an out and back walk, to do a loop you need to walk 13 miles. Still a great place to spend a day especially in summer months when there are lots of boat trips and water activities.

Its an absolutely beautiful place for a family day out! Take a picnic the food is not cheap! There are water sports, open spaces and lots of fresh air! The place is huge! If you wanted to walk around the reservoir they recommend to put aside 6 hours! But if you plan it properly you will have a lovely time!

It's a lake that you can go round and play on the small paddle boats ..... so many couples there, the one that likes riding he's bike. The girlfriend you could see it on her face This is not fun

Great circular 12.5m walk following the edge of the water most of the time. Nice little pub (a short detour) half way through the walk. Had a goat's cheese salad which was delicious! Was visiting on a bank holiday w/e during a heatwave but surprisingly wasn't too crowded at all (i.e the starting point was full of people with kids sun bathing and enjoying the reservoir/playground but the walk was nice and relatively quiet). Would definately go again. You can get a map at the car park entrance for a small charge.

I put 5 stars just be nice, but more signs are needed to show the bike route as today we got very lost and ended up near the A21 and did circles without realising and also it's a very bumpy route for cyclists so wasn't the most pleasant ride so a saw back side for me now, however I will say it's a nice location nice open areas for activity and BBQ'S

Great place for water sports including sailing, canoeing, wind surfing, SUP and on the water assault course / inflatables. Also able to hire pedalos and other boats. Nice playground for the kids and fantastics walking and biking trails. Also able to hire bikes on site. Cafe serves drinks and food. Plenty of places to picnic.

Following a little act of spontaneity we came to the Bewl's Big Dog Day Out and dogs are welcome and that was per chance on an online ad we found. What a great day followed by a walk along the reservoir dam wall Very beautiful and quite wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair access routes could also be a little clearer with some of the signage rather faded. The treasure hunt was also not accessible however a little adjustment was made. As for the river boat ride it is not clear when it runs and if it is accessible. As for the location we saw one or two signs stating this way but we were uncertain if it was the right way we were headed. there is room for improvement on way-finding signage. Would I recommend it? Yes and would we go again? certainly!

This place is amazing. The parking is cheep. The food is good. The facilities are good. The amount of seating they have in the cafe inside and out is really good. The best part of it all is the lake and the view. This place is beautiful.

Nice day out. Some of the paths were very muddy but that was to be expected. Parked on Rosemary Lane next to the reservoir as it was free and done the whole 12/13 mile walk. The walk route was adequately sign posted at the road sections

First visit to Bewl water today. Been on my bucket list for a few years now & I had a days holiday so thought let's go. Weather was blustery but forecast was dry so jumped in the car with my wife and drove to the car park. Arrived at 10.00. Route & carpark were well signposted. Attendant was helpful & knowledgeable. He laughed when I said we wanted to walk around the lake. He gave us a map & off we went. We are regular walkers & our pace is usually 3mph. The map says to allow 6hrs to complete the 13 miles. We did it in just over 4 hours. Bewl water is a stunning location but comparitively quiet as the COVID lockdown is still in place. There are lots of activities still suspended which is a shame. When fully open it offers something for everyone. Carpark is a fiver all day. We set off anticlockwise around the lake to get the hilly bits & lanes out of the way early. There are approximately 3.5 miles of lanes where you can't see the lake at all. To be truthful you probably can't see the lake for 75% of the route because of the trees. The paths vary from stone paths to mud tracks ideal for off road cyclists. In fact this route is perfect for off road cycling judging by the numbers passing us. In fairness it is a lovely walk, not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs unfortunately. I didn't see the water taxi at all. Possibly suspended? This must be a godsend when operational as you can get off/on & see all the lake with ease assuming you have young children who don't like walking. Bewl water is well worth a visit even if you just stay near the carpark areas & watch the activities with a cuppa. It's an incredible man made feature offering a safe relaxing family day out.
