Best Western Premier Hotel Slon Review

My Greek holidays were canceled last year due to covid19. Being from north western Slovenia, I decided to spend a week in Ljubljanas 'Best Western Hotel Slon. In the heart of the city, 2 minute walk to old town, enjoying little restaurants, museums, just walking...
My holiday home is important so I chose top floor suite with a balcony, enjoying the best breakfast ever in the sun, sleeping in a king cozy bed...heaven! But...the people caring for guests are the main reason for feeling great! From reception desk, welcoming concierge, manager to waiters, friendly and helpful cleaning staff, the kindest and most polite people I have ever met! In covid19 times they think of your health better than you do at home! Rooms, halls are desinfected, tissues and disinfectants wherever you turn but suttle, invisible...
My experience was unforgettable! I can't stress enough that people made me feel great! Magical hotel, cozy bed, yummiest breakfast are almost secundary. Can't wait to visit again! Thank you all for an amaizing holiday week!

Centrally located and next to a bus stop.. easy to get around the attractions and shopping streets. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was ok.

The best hotel in Ljublijana. Situated in the center of the town, nearby a lot of touristic points. Breakfast it s very generous.

We booked this hotel after reading some reviews from other local boutique hotels that they were transferring guests from the booked hotels to another due to Covid issues. We decided to go with a mainstream recognised chain hotel just to be certain and safe. We could not be more satisfied with our experience, as the location is absolutely perfect you can reach everywhere in walking distance.

However, our initial response at the reception was not positive, even laughable, due to the curt obviously short tempered staff member. Thankfully this did not affect the rest of our stay.

The second staff member we spoke to (Tomas) was incredibly welcoming and even gave us an upgraded room. The room was really nice and clean with an amazing big bed and view to the park direction.

The best part was definitely the breakfast buffet, which had a huge variety of options.

Regarding the Covid situation, it was very clear that the hotel was aware of it and provided sanitiser gel, tissues and instructions on how to proceed.

The hotel provides an array of services but does not have room service, which was a down side when we decided to stay in on a Sunday night.

Overall the experience was very positive and highly recommended hotel.

The staff was unfriendly. We never had such unmotivated staff in the hotels. They were really rude to the guests. They were not concerned about the wishes of the guests. They just ordered to hand over my creditcard without explaining why. But the hotel was really beautiful. The breakfast buffet was awesome. We loved the wide variety for breakfast. The room was clean.
